I should probably explain some things in this video: - Pandemonic Elfilis will actually heal an additional 100 HP every hit they take during Genome Repairs, which is why I don't attack until the recovery wave finishes. Similarly, it is impossible to remove the core the first time Elfilis is knocked over. - Some of the footage at the end of the video showing failed attempts are from slightly earlier versions of the mod, which is why the background is the base game gray color instead of the blue-green background I made. You'll notice in some of that footage, I'm being chased by two lasers. That is not a removed feature, the first half of phase 1 gets harder the longer you take to beat it; every time Elfilis uses Genome Repairs, they heal 50 more HP than last time, and eventually, there will be two lasers if you take too long. - The Core phase completely ignores Guarding and and all forms of invincibility other than the invincibility you get right after swallowing an ability, which is why after using guarding and dodges so much in the first battle, I don't do it at all against the Core. (The only exception is Planetarium Dream Tour which you can guard against.) Essentially, the first fight is all about using your Dodge and Guard well, while the fight with the Core is all about avoiding attacks without the Dodge or Guard!

"Forgotten Land can be so freely edited compared to Star Allies and Return to Dream Land Deluxe" - Faye, about half a year ago I would give some insightful commentary, but my mortal mind cannot even comprehend what is going on here - this is beautiful chaos (i still cannot fathom why lasers are guardable in KatFL) "That looked pretty tough! Would you like to switch to Spring Breezier Mode?"

While playing this mod, players can almost imagine what it's like to play the last stage of the titl'n'tumble minigame

This makes my brain hurt more than unfair magolor.

I don't blame you. Most of the time, 3 attacks are happening simultaneously for Pandemonic Elfilis. Whereas Unfair Magolor EX/Soul occasionally has 2 attacks happening simultaneously.

基本的な動き自体はオリジナルと同じだけど、フィールドに残り続ける槍やワープゲートによる視界妨害に、延々持続してこちらの気を散らしてくるレーザーや幻影による横なぎ攻撃、カオス化した後は増殖バグをモチーフにしたと思われる分身同時攻撃にヤケクソとも思えるレーザーマシンガンやこれまたフィールドに残り続けるカッターで気を散らせつつの凄まじい攻撃の応酬…。

Yknow, just yesterday i was talking with a friend about how much i wanted to see both more Forgotten Land mods and more Kirby boss fight mods that add new mechanics to the fight rather than just faster attacks. This popped up in my feed and it's everything I wanted to see. Absolutely awesome work, and if I knew anything about how to mod Switch games, I'd play this in a heartbeat.

I truly love how some of the attacks aren't just "random bullsh*t GO!", rather they actually require some effort to dodge. Like the core ramming attack, where you just need to keep airborne for long enough. There's some genuine design behind some of these and i love that as a concept.

The first phase was good, and no doubt really hard, but it didn't strike me as an "unfair kirby" style bossfight. That second phase however? Not that's pure caffeine

I think the spears are supposed to hurt you if you walk into them. They could definitely make the portals more translucent though

Imagine this on wild mode with no attack or speed buffs. No double health and no copy abilities 💀 💀

As crazy and often obnoxiously memey as these kinds of mods often get I like them more in Kirby than most games. Kirby has all this lore about how insanely over powered some of his opponents are, and while the gameplay can be fun and occasionally reflect that, most of the time you don't have to do much to belittle them quickly. These sorts of mods are a kinda cool way to get to see what the boss would have been like for someone less overpowered by the powers of friendship and divinity as Kirby.

After seeing this, Unfair Magolor no longer seems so unfair to me

The only thing wrong with this mod is that some of the attacks aren’t telegraphed well. Idk how the code works specifically, but maybe try to have the portals that stay there become somewhat translucent after that attack finishes up so the player can get a better sense of timing the guards/dodges when Elfilis attacks from above. 1:01 Make the permanent laser more quiet so the player can hear the audio cue for the giant swing attack, 4:17 Also for the second phase shrink the fire aura significantly on this attack so the player knows to go to the sides of the stage rather than thinking it’s unavoidable. 13:09 One more thing that’s just an optional aesthetic flourish, but it would be cool if the core goes through different portals as it’s rushing you multiple times instead of awkwardly going to the corner. 13:20 I know this all sounds kinda picky, and negative, but everything I absolutely adore about this mod has already been said.

I'm not gonna lie to you, this reminds me of those data fights in Kingdom Hearts 3. That is an absurd compliment to this mod, by the way.

Gonna have to give this a try. This makes Unalloyed Malenia look absolutely weak. Still looks more manageable than 3 or 4 chaos orbs. I think it's beatable without the powerups, maybe not with no ability though.

I've been waiting for chaos Elfilis mods! This looks hella fun! Though, the reason the boss fight grew stale for me is because he didn't have enough attacks to cycle through… if I made a mod, some of these changes like the speed and the multiple simultaneous attacks and _some_ of the longer lasting attacks would make it in obviously, but reduce the number of or remove entirely the attacks lasting forever… or at minimum make them expire after a while. Also would cool off those second phase changes... the sudden full heal one, and the lasers+fireball one, that's kind of bullshit. The biggest change he needs is more attacks especially in the second phase (he only has like 3 attacks by the end of the second phase he cycles through), slightly increased defense when at a quarter health in second phase, and for him to abandon his attack pattern in the final part of second phase when he's at one third health. He should also be able to use healing multiple times, but not so many times as to make it unfair… say, he uses it two or three times throughout the first phase, and then more times if you take WAY too long to defeat him from there. Add a couple more decoys, and maybe one or two minor obstacles just to make it a bit annoying (but they can be dispatched to make it easier). But he NEEDS MORE ATTACKS!

I don't know what you mean by it only cycling through three attacks in the end of the second phase, they use every single attack Chaos Elfilis has except Genome Repairs and Antares Belt, the two of which it only uses once at the start of entering anger. It even has Fermes Paradox Answer normally only used in the story mode fight, the Half Moon to Geo Storm combo normally only used in phase 1, and the 'sans' version of Maser that I added. At least I'm assuming by phase 2 there you mean of the first fight, if you mean phase 2 as in the core, it still has one more attack where it circles around the battlefield shooting lasers, and one last variant of Deadly Sun Grazer where it shoots cutters in between each pass instead of lasers. As a reminder, the Core only has a total of 7 attacks in the base game; And Here We Are, Double Double Star, Planetarium Dream Tour, Blazar Cutter, Deadly Sun Grazer, Splash Roche, and Impact Bound, so not much to work with. > the sudden full heal one That's actually just a consequence of the way I made that attack, the boss isn't actually healing, the game is just showing the health of the eyes that spawn. They despawn after the attack and the next time you hit the Core the game will properly display the original's HP again. > He should also be able to use healing multiple times, He does use healing once every attack loop in phase 1 of my mod, then uses it one final time at the start of the anger phase.

⁠@@SacredFaerie Yeah, I meant the core when I said second phase. He needs more attacks added, ESPECIALLY in the core phase. And I was going over what I might include for a Chaos Elfilis mod if I were the one making it, one that's not an unfair Elfilis mod but just Chaos Elfilis enhanced. I've seen a mod where they just increase Chaos Elfilis' health, and the core phase just gets really really stale with only the few attacks it does have. Combining multiple attacks so they happen at once helps, but it still needs more unique attacks. Like, I hope people figure out a way to program entirely new attacks into enemies in the future. > Just a consequence of the way I made the attack I kinda figured it was that at first, but then when you spit some stars out at the main core after the other two disappeared, it didn't look like it snapped back down… I'll give it a rewatch 👀 Edit: I rewatched it, and yeah, it didn't exactly snap back down it looks like! Unless you did the exact same amount of damage to the black core that the main one did sustain, and it was an illusion, it doesn't look like the health snapped back to where it should be when you hit the main core after the attack. Edit 2: Does the game just add the damage on to your star attack to adjust for the difference in health bars or something? Look closely at 13:28 then skip like 10 or 15 seconds, then keep watching on to when you hit the main one. The health bar has slightly more health after the outer core is damaged than during the fireball, and then when they disappear and you hit the main core the damage seems to start from there. I think you have a bug!

The middle one is also a clone because whichever clone is most recently spawned dictates the camera position and I couldn't figure out how to change that, so I just made a new clone to put in the center that spawns after the eyes. So the hit at 14:15 is actually when I finally hit the core again after that attack.
