Unexpected Outcome on Day of Anal Fistula Surgery - Change of Plan!!

Well this was a curveball! After mentally and physically preparing to undergo a LIFT procedure to repair my anal fistula, I woke up from the anesthesia to learn that the doctor did not go through with the surgery for various reasons. The LIFT procedure is no longer the best option due to how the anatomy of the fistula has changed over the past few months, and the pocket from the original abscess still has some infection present. The seton AKA "butt bracelet" remains for now, and next steps is to get on some antibiotics and apply for the clinical trial.
Here is my surgeon speaking on the clinical trial: reelC0nY5T...

I’ll have to look more into that! I am currently working on growing my family before revisiting other surgical repair options, but would love the idea of visiting India in the future to try a laser repair!!

@@CCCC-TV yes think about laser operation. It has very successful rate. Less pain and heals very quickly like in 1 week. Not only in India but many other countries have laser options. Research on laser treatments.
