Is seton painful? my dr placed seton after seton there is a big swell like a abscess.. dr placed me two setons one is between internal and external openings.. another one is external opening to buttuck.. the buttuck thing is very painfull.. am feeling hard lump like abscess

I felt the seton string the whole year I had it in. Very uncomfortable. I would put Vaseline on it if it was really sore and hurting.

That’s a great question and we would have to look that up

I had three episodes of the blister, and it was very painful, but it ended up popping before I can get to the surgeon, to do the surgery the canal must be filled, so I finally had the surgery done, and the senton was put in,,it went fine,,it was in for 3 weeks and it healed,, now comes the bed knows after about five months I got the infection back my doctor was on vacation he said to go to the emergency room and they drain it, well, they popped it with no anesthesia, and it was the most painful, torturous procedure I ever had done, I was screaming in pain when she stuck the scalpel in my ass and then she had a packet and I will never ever have that done again. I would rather just stay with the paint and let it bust or I would’ve busted myself so now it’s closed again and I have to go see the surgeon and we go forward from there. Good luck.

Believe it or not they actually do fistulotomies and the patient has to deal with psin of bms. I know becsuse i had an abcess snd fistula 5 mo ago next is fistulotomy. And the sugron says it MORE painful than what you went through 🙄

@@559talk9 it's generally painful after a bowel movement. I would suggest taking a gentle stool softener for a few days before surgery and continue to take it for about 10 days after (check with your doctor if you have other medical issues). If a fistulotomy has been suggested it is probably necessary. Be blessed 🙏🏻

I hope you get a doughnut pillow. I didn't know you could have fistula if u have a stoma. I have my second colonoscopy coming up. But the last one was so traumatic I'm terrified. But they need to see how bad the disease progressed.

I was asleep this time, but when I woke up I was very sneezy for 2 days and my tummy hurt

As a woman who gave birth naturally 17 hours he totally was going through excruciating I would rather give birth than go to the pain of pooping with the anal fistula
