Actually she makes better offers than other sharks, with less equity and loan option.

She's genuine, honest, straight up, humble, smart, teachable, hard working, instantly likeable and entrepreneurial. As Steve said invest in people

Shark Tank AUS seems much more calm and respectable than the US version I have seen Kevin O`Leary make many offers without allowing the other sharks to talk and then withdrawing it if anyone else gets the chance to talk Here they all take turns and allow each other to speak.

its not being disrespectful, maybe because in the US they want to really fight for it. They all do it kevin, daymond, barbara, robert, mark, lorie when they want something and they made an offer based on what originally asked, so whats the point of listening or entertaining other sharks, the investor got what they ask for, why still fish. Maybe in Australia they made it a rule for all to have a say so that each can give an advice that is valuable

honestly that offer was awful, she basically sold 25% of her company for 50k. The excitement got to her head too quickly

But he also said he would follow her through her next ideas if this didn't work out, and he said loans as required. And she doesn't own 100% of the company to begin with. She owns 33.3% with her mom and sister owner the other 2/3. So instead of them getting 33.3% each, they now get 25% each. It's a 4 way split instead of a 3 way split, losing 8.3% each hurts less than 25% from one person. Plus the reason she asked him on was for guidance to grow. She needed a new business partner. I'd pay 8 cents on the dollar each to get the expertise.

Walmart isn't marketing them to spraytanning clients and using spraytanning businesses as resellers. You can bet her margins are a hell of a lot higher than Walmart's. It's a smart business idea that got her a nice exit in just a couple of years.

The "company" behind it is completely worthless. They do not have a homepage, only sell via instagram .. and there they have 4000 bought subscribers, with an average of 5 likes per post. They took the money, paid themselves and that's it. I wouldn't be surprised if the "exclusive designs" were generic dresses bought on alibaba

I don't know if this is true in this case? maybe she is talking about designing the outfits or the idea of using it for the purpose of Tanning wear, however I do know you're right that there are a huge amount of people who a shamelessly promote an idea as their unique artisan idea but they are simply repackaging the idea. This is really scary that it's become standard practice 🤦🏾‍♀️😕

The garment isn't the idea. Marketing the garment for the purpose of people getting to and from tanning appointments, and reselling through spraytanners is the idea. That's completely new.
