Do you think the horizontal launch angle is accurate enough to aim your putts within your space or do you recommend always aiming with the software and putting it straight?

Yes you could absolutely just aim in the Sim room. A few people do this... If you are going to do it then I recommend turning off the putting assist within GS Pro so then it isn't massaging the HLA within 20ft of the hole.

Great video and info. Unfortunately yesterday I got 3 misreads. Driver 6k spin with 3k right side spin when I play a draw. But I totally agree, it seems extremely accurate besides the maybe 1-20 to 1-25 spin misread.

Noooo that's not good to hear... So it might just be because I haven't hit enough shots but the black tees seem to have definitely reduced the driver misreads.. I'm seeing a lot less than I was. Man it's so frustrating seeing those misreads! Then people saying that you don't know your feel... Sure mate. I feel you for sure... Hoping there is a quick update for it but I feel like it will take a bit longer than we want.

Hello thanks for the videos, verry good and keep up the good work. In my case, my distances at home with the EM are way off (short by 10-15 yards) compared to trackman at my course range.My club speed is way lower compared to my prgr too. Right now its not really playable... I have white walls so i will try to cover the wall and see. Any other advise? Also I would love to see uneekor detailing /explaning their update with a release note ...now we have no idea what they fixed .

That's very odd mate have you tried taking it out and comparing it directly to the trackman? The white walls shouldn't be a problem.. not that I think anyway as it's looking down at the ball. I'd be interested to head the results from a direct comparison... Are you comparing to your PRGR indoors? Side note how good is the PRGR! I love that little unit.

@@JLagGOLF I did not think about bringing the EM to the range, good idea! I will do it. Yes I was comparing the PRGR and the EM indoor. The distance between the PRGR indoor and trackman at the range were pretty similar ( same for ball speed in average). Love the prgr too!

@@JLagGOLF I went to the range today and compare both trackman and the EM: all shots below 110 yards were shorter by 4/5yards with the EM, ball speed were the same for both. That's ok for me. Every shots above 110 yards, EM was spot on! Super accurate for distance, ball speed, club speed. I guess I have the swing indoor syndrome at home... Quick one, what hitting matt do you use? I think the matt could also be a factor, mine is pretty old and very publishing.

I got a misread on 18 too, then dunked my 2nd into the water from that spot. Thankfully got up and down after that tho.

No way that's a massive coincidence... Yeah I think it was about 200y carry all over water to a tucked pin 😕. I just took my medicine and hit an extra club factoring in the slightly lower ball speed on the long irons with this unit 🤣🤣 found the back fringe and 2 putted.

Great to hear that Uneekor has connected with you after the somewhat rocky start. I am sure it will result in a better product for all their users. Question… How do you get that compass looking cursor on the greens? When I hit ‘Y’ then I see the heat map but not that cursor. Played the flushing meadows par three you showed. Real skills challenge requiring accurate partial wedges to smallish greens with lots of undulation. Glad to hear about your success on SGT, probably will grow the channel for you even more - With your approach & wedge play you’ll become the Colin Morikawa of SGT

Hi Joe, I was lurking on one of your previous eye mini videos about a month ago, and I appreciate you're insight back then. I'm curious, in this video you mentioned Uneekor is working to resolve some of those random miss-hits. Have you gotten the impression that this is moving forward? Also, back then, you seem to have some concerns over clubhead speed as well. Any update on that? Neither company offered the "Black Friday" deals I was hoping for, so I'm going to go ahead and pull the trigger. I'm likely going GC3 unless you feel like those issues were going to be resolved. The price on the eye mini is really good.

Hey mate I thought id answer this one quickly as I’m sure you want to get buying before the Christmas rush. So I can confirm that I have significantly reduced the mis reads by switching to black tees and sanitising my hitting environment (removing my orange alignment stick). However I am still getting mis reads every now and then roughly one in 27 to 36 holes. These can be really frustrating during the SGT Tournaments as they can kill your round if they pop up at the wrong time. They are 100 percent misreads by the unit… I know some people might say its a bad shot at the wrong time there is absolutely no chance of hitting the kind of numbers that it is reporting. I do have good news though!! I cant say much because I am currently working with Uneekor on some new beta firmware and have been really happy with what I’ve seen in regards to club and ball speeds!!!! Really happy. I know they are aware of the mis reads and I just keep reporting every single one I see. If you’re not playing tournament or serious golf then its fine as you can just take a mulligan but I think it really needs to be resolved and I know they are aware of it.. how long it takes I don’t know. So in short club and ball speeds are close to being resolved and the random mis reads I don’t know unfortunately. Cheers

Hey mate I have a Lenovo Legion 5i that has a core i7 processor and an RTX3060 graphics card. I am definitely pushing it to its limits though... I push 4k on my projector, run the Uneekor view software and also GS Pro.. then on top of that also screen record all of it using OBS! So if you're only going to play GS Pro in 1080p or even 4k it is definitely good enough! Cheers

Great video Joe! I've really appreciated your videos while getting my home sim project completed. I'm currently using an R10 but looking to upgrade to the Eye Mini or the BLP ball data only. I know a million people have asked the same questions between these two but I was more curious on your (or anyone else's thoughts) on waiting things out until these LM's get things worked out. I don't need a new LM tomorrow and would even be willing to wait until next year. So my question is, do you expect Black Friday deals to really get competitive on the LM world and worth picking one or the other up? Or wait until next year? I'd like to say how much I practice with this thing but I'm just hooked on GSPRO and enjoy my hour to hour an a half a day after work to play a few rounds. Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated!

I went through the same dilemma… I decided on the EYE MINI before the changes to the BLP licensing. I think your decision needs to come down to what data is sufficient for you. If you are mostly interested in SIM play where all that is needed is ball data then perhaps the BLP will get you by. No one can argue their ball data is not good enough. BUT if you harbor a goal of game improvement then the value of the club data the EYE MINI provides along with the impact photography really is hard to beat, especially if you catch a sale price. I have a coach who places the upmost importance on impact. All the drills I work on have a single goal of improving my swing to make the best possible impact, so the club data was paramount. He was a little disappointed that at this price “Face-to-Path” data wasn’t included. (I make the case it sort of is, the difference between Club path and horizontal launch angle must be face to path, only the face can affect the eventual path of the ball) Anyway, I guess you could always add Club data to the BLP but then you are at roughly the same price as the EYE MINI with a higher subscription fees each year. Choices are great, good choices make for difficult decisions.

@@OMG-2 I would love to get the club data as well (I would use it). What I really don't care for is the way BLP is doing the spendy subscription based stuff. I feel like at any moment they could change pricing and accessiblity to features and just don't like that feeling that I have to worry about it. I believe just to play GSPro with the Eye Mini I'm looking at the $250 for GSPro and $200 for the basic eye mini sub. Is that correct? Edit : I know no one has a magic eight ball, but the more power (less subscription based) stuff I have makes me feel like I don't have to worry about getting gouged later. And thanks for the insight. That's really helpful!

@@adammasters3767 That is what I paid, well technically I haven’t paid for the Uneekor Pro subscription yet because 90 days was included with my purchase so early next year I will be making that purchase. You can reduce your annual subscription costs by doing the OneTime purchase for GSPro at $550 but you will be locked into the V2 version of the software with roughly 1000 courses (not all are free but sooo many are). I went for the annual subscription because I was under the impression that my PC would not be able to run it and I might need to return it until I could get a better one, but I was able to manage my settings to find a way to play (not 4K).

Hey mate sorry for the late reply on this one but OMG definitely raised some good points! I wish the eye mini had face to path… But to your question. Yes you are correct on the eye mini pricing and also gs pro subscription. I think right now if you compare the BLP essentially a GC3 to the Eye Mini the BLP in terms of reliability is more stable. Myself and a lot of other users are still getting random mis reads that come out of no where.. however Uneekor are aware of this and are working through data to try and figure out what’s wrong. It’s not bad tbh.. it’s one shot a round but if you’re playing sim golf tournaments it can get frustrating. I also think the Uneekor software needs to be slightly tweaked for Club and ball speeds however it’s said this in a few videos now and shown the comparisons against the gc3.. the good thing is it’s very consistent in its own data so that’s a good sign! Now the positives for the Uneekor.. the putting mode! It’s amazing and I absolutely love it.. it’s extremely reliable and just works. Another massive pro for Uneekor is the view software and the eco system they are building! The swing optix and balance optix is just amazing! I think when they can iron out the little software issues the Eye Mini will be the best deal by far. Looking at the track record Uneekor has had a few discounts I think what these companies are starting to realise is that this is more of a subscription game… get the hardware out there to as many people you can and then make your money on subscriptions. I’m not sure but I think the BLP just raised their price to connect to gs pro?

Considering your 27 under par tournament, either the Eye MIni is not that flawed or your skills were good enough to overcome its pitfalls. Mark a win for Eye MIni ( would imagine that most of your competition is using a Foresight Device ). You're giving me hope for this launch monitor. Would like to purchase one during a Black Friday sale if they address the issues it’s having. What part of your game was responsible for scoring so low ? Thanks for all the great content.

Hey mate thanks for that! Yes like I said most of the time it is really accurate it's just the odd wild misread that can happen at the worst times. Luckily the two I had this tournament didn't cost me and I was able to scramble and save pars. The swing felt good and for me when I'm swinging it good my iron play is my strength. I think I only missed 1 green the first round and 3 the second.. the putter definitely behaved as well! The putting mode on this unit is fantastic... The HLA is really accurate. It will be a great unit when they sort out the misreads and slightly tweak club and ball speeds!

When you test against the quad can you compare club data?

Hey mate you actually get this in Australia from Golf Sim Australia. When I got it a month ago they were offering a discount. I'm not sure if they still are. The guys there are really helpful and will sort you out You don't need the refine subscription You can just buy the unit itself and it will come with a free month free of refine and also 3 months free I believe of the pro package. Once this is up it will be $200 a year (USD) to be able to play GS Pro. Cheers
