I thoroughly enjoy your presentation style in reviewing these launch monitors. Keep ‘em coming. As several others have already mentioned, looking forward to some ST+ reviews and comparisons. Subscribed 👍

Thanks for the positive feedback--I appreciate it! I am testing the SkyTrak+ right now and will have a video review on that unit soon.

Hello, always good reviews, does it show face impact as well and impact locations ? Not with the optic as I think we cannot see much with this function of the real impact

I appreciate your discussion of both the pros and cons of the Eye Mini. I don't know about the BLP but I did purchase a GC3 last November. I took it to the range and compared shot for shot with my coaches Trackman 4 and found no differences that mattered with the exception that the GC3 (and BLP and Mini) cannot account for wind or terrain. As to the SW - IMHO the Foresight gaming SW sucks. I bought a gaming laptop with 32 GB of RAM and the latest GPU and CPU and both FSX Play and 2020 take forever to load. If I shank a ball into the trees there is no way (I have found) to take a drop and keep going. Also with multi-player if the wrong player hits the ball there is no way back to get back on track. My minor complaint of the SW is that it would be nice the shot data could be captured and down-loaded of analysis. The cost to get E6 SW from Foresight is unbelievably expensive and to pay between $150 and $500 per course doesn't seem reasonable. In summation for myself - the GC3 is a great launch monitor and has helped me become a better golfer. Entertainment value - It is not much fun to have a friend or two over and play a game on the courses provided. The current price for the GC3 is around $7,500 so even the most expensive choices on the Mini seem pretty good.

Thanks-I appreciate it. It's great to hear the experience from a GC3 owner. I only used the FSX Play trial (as I use GSPro). It worked pretty well for me, but I have read that some people have issues with FSX Play. Sounds like it can be buggy.

Thanks--I appreciate it. Yes, I am planning on doing a comparison of the SkyTrak+ to this as well as the Launch Pro, and the original SkyTrak.

Nice video! When you tested the accuracy, I'm assuming the numbers you show (+1.8 yds carry, -1.6 yds total, etc.) are averages?

One thing that I believe is a big thing for the Uneekor Eye Mini is the the whole ecosystem of Uneekor accessories. I understand you’re reviewing the launch monitor, but the difference for me was the compatibility with the Swing Optix and the soon to be Balance Optix. For those items, you can’t beat the price to having a whole “pro level” practice studio for less than 10K including the gaming computer. I know most people will just want the launch monitor, but for those wanting to know everything about their swing via video and force plates, it’s a no brainer. That option is not available in the GC3

Thanks for this comment. You make a really good point about the accessories available for the MINI. I considered adding this to the video but scratched it due to time constraints. I am glad you brought this up though, so others are aware of the possibilities for the MINI as more than just a launch monitor for playing sim golf.

For the Launch Pro, you need the gold subscription ($699 per year) to get the Foresight Range (comparable to the View software), but it also includes 10 FSX Play courses. If you only get the Launch Pro basic subscription ($249 per year) you only get the 2D range. However, you can get the basic subscription and a "backdoor" (unsupported) GSPro subscription for $250 a year to get full golf simulator software; so that is $500 total per year for the Launch Pro. Either way, you cannot get the same experience on the Launch Pro with just the basic subscription as you would with the Eye-mini with no subscription. As such, your 6 year calculation based on the $1500 difference between the Launch Pro and Eye-Mini is not accurate. It would be less than 3 years, especially if you wanted a fully supported experience requiring FSX Play.

  • @theLuxeGolf

Thanks for the comment. Foresight actually changed their subscription so you now get FSX Pro with the Basic Subscription ($250). This gives you a driving range which is comparable to VIEW for the MINI. I have a video coming out in a few weeks that compares the MINI & The Launch Pro head-to-head, including software.

@@theLuxeGolf Right, but you get VIEW without a subscription needed so that's not the right comparison to make. If that's the route you want to go, the comparison you should be making is Uneekor PRO ($199 a year) vs FSX Pro Gold ($699 a year). In that case, it only takes 2 years for the costs to even out and every year after that, the Uneekor is cheaper by $500. As of writing this comment, the Bushnell Launch Pro is $3500 and the Eye Mini is $4500.

Question: does the launch pro have the ability to do putting? I understand that the mini even includes putting even in the photographic review in View. It would be interesting to see a comparison of green side chips and putting. So far I have tried and returned the R10 (before RCT balls), MLM2PRO, and the SkyTrak+ because they’re short game features were so poor. As I keep working up the price scale it’s either the BLP or the Eye Mini and your review is helpful in this very expensive decision- THANKS

Yes, the BLP does really well at putting. Same with the EYE MINI. Both of those LMs did great at putting, chipping, and pitching. In my tests, they did not miss any shots at all.

Hi Super review! Does the optic software also cover the impact on the face. Btw Garmin launch pro is only available for US. I live in the Netherlands Europe and it is blocked for all countries except for the US. Garmin even states they ban you from their software if u use it outside the US?!? `Suspect to protect foresight market position. Super happy with the development of this product and for example the full swing kit. Regular launch monitor brands are super overpriced and not challenged to innovate for other products

Thanks! The Club Optix software only covers a side view of the club through impact. Their overhead launch monitors (EXE XO2 & EYE QED) give a different angle from above and include data for the face on view. That is why in my video where I hit balls at the range the face on graphic does not show metrics. For the EYE QED & EYE XO2 you also get these metrics: Dynamic Loft, Club Face Angle, Club Face to Path, Club Lie Angle, Club Loft Angle, Impact Point Vertical, Impact Point Horizontal.

Great review, but you mention price, that is valid only for the US as the BLP is region locked to the US, I live in Canada and comparing the GC3 to the Mini, I chose the mini as it is less expensive than the GC3, even when converting the $4500USD price.

The biggest downfall for most people is that the BLP doesn’t exist outside the USA, so you really need to compare it to the gc3 where it seems better value and i also agree to compare it to the best for accuracy would have to be the gc4. As we have even seen differences between gc3 vs gc4

Nice review but I think there's a couple of things that you left out or got wrong. I did a ton of research, Actually talking to the tech and Sales at Uneekor and ended up ordering the Eye Mini. BLP is not the most accurate. It would be better to compare to the GC Quad. Also GSPro or any other third party software is not legitimately available for BLP. In my opinion the Eye Mini is a way better deal

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, the fact the GSPro is not technically supported by Bushnell is a drawback. GSPro and Foresight came to an agreement earlier this year on a partnership, but apparently there have been some delays. I would expect a new BLP subscription to cost more if offers official GSPro support. I am impressed with the MINI and hope you enjoy it!

I disagree about accuracy. The GC3/BLP is incredibly accurate. Really not even a point of contention. The Eye Mini may prove to be as well, but has not yet withstood the level of testing that the BLP has amongst the masses. There are certainly shortcomings to note with the BLP/GC3 (native Foresight software, for one), but accuracy isn’t one of them. Not saying you made the wrong choice either. I think both are great & really just comes down to personal preference, budget, etc.

@@westonhull7595 GC3/BLP are great units but are not as accurate as the best units. If you are going to lay down base numbers then we shouldn’t be basing them off a BLP. That’s all I’m saying
