Nice job on the video. Unexpected bonus that the software shows face angle! The close up of contact is really cool as well. Looks like a fantastic unit. $1k more then BLP up front but no subscription and $3k cheaper then GC3 with more data and more user friendly software. Looks like a win.

Where you seeing that? It’s $6500 unlocked. And a GC3 is $7500 with the club data add on. I agree tho, that camera image is so nice. It also confirms the aoa reading. Where his slight fat shot was basically a 0 aoa. Really curious to see tests vs the GC3 for accuracy with one less camera.

@@Dan-ld3mj No an extra $1999 for fully unlocked. But I guess that’s just for their extra software tho. Appears you get all data but can’t use any 3rd party software unless you unlock it or pay for an annual subscription.

Can the battery be replaced? And can you the power cord without the battery?

This was awesome!! I did not even know this monitor was on the market. This has all the features I am looking for, or does it? All of the launch monitors I have been researching have some similar features, but what features and tracking measurements would I need for teaching/taking lessons? What will make someone's swing better? All tools used right can do their intended jobs. However, how to use these launch monitors in order to have a better swing and ultimately a better game. I look forward to all of the upcoming videos and features.

In my opinion a launch monitor won’t make most people’s swing better. That takes lessons for most people. The launch monitor yes is an aid to a player and coach that understand the data and what is causing the outcome. Now playing and swinging sure will most likely lead to some improvement regardless of anything. Thanks for watching 🍻

Great video, very interesting product. Obviously the direct comparison is to GC3. Curious whether Eye Mini is in the same realm of accuracy as GC3 is. I'm looking to upgrade my R10 at some point and am looking at units like this one / GC3. Thanks for the content!

You can’t compare two side units head to head. The Infared interference causes issues.

Nice video. How sensitive is the unit to alignment and what do you do to ensure you are aligned properly? Does it have something for an alignment stick to be attached?

I have a video showing how to align it. You can use two golf balls or just square it up with you eye. It’s easy.

Can you go over the different packages? I'm a little confused with what each package offers. I'm not quite sure what PowerU, Sessions, Profiles, and Refine+ all mean. Thanks!

I am just beginning my testing but as you can see nothing yet. I will be doing a serious of videos covering it all and my plan is to have some 200MPH driver testing as well. So stay tuned!

Has anyone used an Eye Mini for switching between right and left hand golfers? Is it as simple as moving it and changing the hand or is it easy for it to get unaligned?

I have, check out some of my other videos.

I'm torn between the GC3 and Eye Mini right now, but more conflicted on the software user experience (VIEW/REFINE vs. FSX Pro) for range sessions and data management/review. Would love a video comparing not the hardware or even data accuracy, but comparing the software user experience of Uneekor vs. Foresight... this might be the deciding factor for me... Currently have the Mevo+ and really underwhelmed with Flightscope's post-session dashboards and range session data review....I think I saw before that Uneekor has some cool way to share or export certain stats too?

I have videos on both of them you can check out. VIEW has more features. Refine is simulator software so would be more comparable to FSX play.

The first shot with the Impact camera. It says it was centered but the camera view shows the ball close to the heel? Unless I'm seeing it wrong.

Yes you can do that. It’s not uncommon for people to move a unit and you can have each player finish a hole out (depending on the software) before moving it as well which makes it easier.

There are some people starting to make metal cases for these. I do think it would not be that hard to make them on your own either.

It’s a great option 100. I think most people going EYE XO want a little larger hitting area with E.Z. right or left handed play without the unit out in the open we’re kids or a beginner could hit the unit. The only other thing someone might consider is the video an impact coming from above versus the side. But I think it will just come down to personal preference and I don’t disagree that some people might go this way, just for overall value reasons.

Question for the face angle metric. Noticed on your video for the iPad View app that face angle was not there, but is in this video. Are you using View on PC and that’s why it shows? Thanks

That’s a random guess it is using and should not be relied upon. They are going to work on removing it from showing when using mini.

Is there a quick way to switch between left handed and right handed with the buttons? Or is it: menu, settings, handed, left/right each time you flip the unit around for sim play?

If you have the dexterity selected in the software, I believe it automatically will switch back-and-forth. It automatically switches into putting mode, which I will talk about in the next video, that should be out by tomorrow morning. I will try to verify if the software automatically switches dexterity.

How do you actually align the unit? I think (could be wrong) Foresight has the patent on using a reflective stick to align it. Does it project a line on the ground from the unit itself so you can turn it to parallel to your target line or something?

The impact image and swing path video are some of the same captures used to measure the ball for data. Both cameras inside the unit produce this.

I like the XO for having the club data, especially the impact, but honestly if the Mini is capable of club path and face angle and the impact videos you're showing ... holy smokes, that's good enough. I'll save myself $5,500 and go with the Mini. Such a great value. Thank you for the video and reply!

Hearing that in order to use 3rd party software you need to pay an annual fee or buy Refine to be fully unlocked. What about if we already own a Uneekor LM (I have QED) and Refine and want to get the mini? Will my existing refine license cover me so the mini will be fully unlocked or dot they make me buy that again? That new launcher software makes me think that my Refine license will be able to be connected to the mini but maybe I am wrong.

I go over all of that in the video. Yes there is a $199 subscription for additional features including 3rd party integration. I believe each license is tied to the launch monitor. I can verify but I am pretty sure as I can see in the launcher software it states the launch monitor next to the license.

And if I decide to get a floor model for range use, this would probably be my first choice just to stay in the Uneekor environment. The new launcher stuff looks cool. And yes, I’ll be going through you and Jeremiah if I decide to grab one. My guess is they will be hard to find for a while though as initial demand was crazy high.

Technically you are not suppose to since the infrared could interfere. I will mess around and see how it works.

Based on my testing so far the data is really solid. You can compare my data with other launch monitors I’ve shown. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like I’m going to be able to do a straight head-to-head comparison because the infrared from other units interfere.

I think it’s going to come down to people’s personal preference. Software, impact image and swing path video, gyro vs no gyro, etc. Both seem to be putting out solid data based on my testing so far. Both have also released firmware updates since release so I’m sure they plan to dial them in even more.

Shot count I’m assuming you are referring to. So if you hit 10 shots and went back and selected shot number seven to look at the data, it would show seven out of 10.

@@caseycook738 club doesn’t matter. It’s measuring the ball independently and only ball data is used to provide the necessary data to simulation software.

It is much different. With the ability to have non marked balls and be open to 3rd party software it for sure stands apart. It comes at a price of course but you are talking about a built in screen, powerful VIEW software with club video and impact image, swing camera and balance optix add-ons and more.

Only if you want the club that they are not necessary for simulator play

Obviously carry and side distance are calculated through algorithm and not measured like would be for radar tracking full flight

Yes, true. I was trying to point out that the numbers like roll etc. can't be measured directly but carry technically can be based on the measured metrics. Rolls is using more of a simulation model. But you are 100% right on carry being a calculated number from measured metrics.
