magnificent model. This is one of my favorite F-16s made by Caliber. The only problem I have with mine is that the canopy doesn't stay in the open position, The other thing is that those rubber washers could be easily ruined. It would’ve been a good idea for Caliber Wings to add at least one set of these washers with a model. They are so tiny, and if you drop one of them, good luck finding it.
Noel, believe it or not if you use just a bit of saliva while inserting the peg and, if you’re successful in removing it, while re-inserting the washer, it will slip in easier and be better aligned for re-insertion of the horizontal stabs peg. And once correctly inserted, will act as a bit of glue to hold it better. I make a lot of RC planes and deal with tiny parts hat have rubber grommets like your washer. This method works really well. I also do not recommend using an oil based lubricant as it will deteriorate the rubber grommets over time. I’m sure also that in the absence of having those tools, a person could probably dig out the washer with the dull end of a needle or pin, and then as you did, re-insert it with tweezers. The reason why the h-stab is misaligned and loose is because the peg is not in the hole of the washer (grommet) but has pushed the rubber part to the side and rests now 1/2 on the inside wall of the metal hole and 1/2 on the side of the washer (grommet). I don’t think it would be too hard to fix, just a somewhat steady hand, a pin and tweezers. And if you have a loupe that might help also. We’re not all young like you Noel! 😆. Thanks for the video.

This sounds like a bad washer design, if the washes were a bit longer you wouldn't be able to push them through I think
