About once or twice a video, you'll explain a convoluted, but seemingly powerful, interaction while sideboarding just to follow it up by saying it is awful. Today's "[Surgical is] a zero mana thing I can fire off between wheels... I think that is... not good though." I love it.

In game 1 vs elves, that early brainstorm found your 3rd and 4th land but you sent the 4th away and spent your next couple turns trying to find it again, which prevented you from leaving up dress down. I think the way you played the game was reasonable, especially with them stuck on 1 land. They pretty much had to top deck cradle to go off that turn (the opponent confirmed it for us in your KZread comments). I likely would have gone shields down too. I only point it out bc I find it really amusing and interesting how many streamers will win through major punts but then lose to very small decisions points like this haha. One of the reasons why I love this game. And while I hate hard control. I do love bosh videos. And this was a great one. Looking forward to what’s next 😎😎😎

I mean keeping either force felt like a punt to me. You don't have a guaranteed removal spell coming up and by the time you supreme verdict the game would be over in one direction or the other. Not insulating yourself against reaching turn 4 by holding up dress down would have changed it all.

Ooh, I'm having trouble deciding what to olay at fnm, bant snow, or this jeskai pile..... hopefully this will aid me. Yea....every time I think I might play Jeskai days, you play seem to play it, and I always end up thinking that Uro and ice-fangs are just better. Thanks!!

I feel like these jeskai dexks should maybe consider adding silver bulltes to the main for really bad MUs. I believe meltdown should ve at the top of that list, its decent against s fair amount if decks, game einning against a few, and when its bad, you just don't take it, or you put it back with 🧠⛈️

Perhaps energy flux or Hurkyl's Recall in the main as a slightly worse bullet that is less dead because they can be pitched to force

This might not be the right place for this. I know there's a whole discord and community, but I spent all my money building janky edh decks. Do you think there's any home for spellbinder in an eternal 60 card format? I've had this idea mulling around for a while. At first it was red, using cards like kazuul's toll collector, magnetic theft, and savage beating to try and cheese out some infinite turns. Then came things like sigara's aid and nexus of fate, making me want to go more azorius with some little unblockable creatures to do the infinite beatdown plan by turn 3. The deck was off the ground at my fnm's for a hot second, but was way too fragile to pull off, and probably would be even more fragile today with things like fury, grief, and solitude running around. We also saw the advent of a much cleaner and more efficient equipment deck with hammer time. With all those factors, I don't think there's currently a home for my pet deck, but I'd be interested in a pro's oppinion.

If u want a spell, why dont you fetch before your turn? In opponnet end step? I nevdrr understand that

Because having a fetchland available to get full value out of a Brainstorm or Ponder is worth more than the small % of thinning you get by fetching. I do fetch when I'm literally dead and it's now or never, but in any situation where you could still find a cantrip you need to play to that out.

Is kaheera as a free 8th card less important than the 4th reb or 3rd blue blast. Or does it only see play in modern and pio because of synergy with like solitude or a cat package?

A sideboard card in legacy is worth way more than Kaheera.

Prismatic versus Patchwork Automaton is neat, like the Thalia trick! Can you cast it for X=0, pay the ward 2, and still achieve 3 colors? Why did you cast it for X=1?

That's not how that works. Thalia changes the cost of your spell. Ward creates a trigger that says "pay this much or your spell is countered" after you have already cast your spell. The Ward cost is paying for Ward, not for the original spell.

1:27:45 weren't the brainstorm choices here a little poor? you had the verdict in hand and actually even say "I would like to get to this verdict", then proceed to keep force in hand in face of a shepherd on board, then return one of the 3 lands (your safe path to verdict), then shuffle and subsequently struggle to find a fourth land in time! a little greedy, maybe?

I have an answer to Shepherd in hand that, combined with FoW, keeps me alive to bridge the gap between turns 2 and 4 where Supreme Verdict comes online. Putting back both FoWs and just hoping to be alive by turn 4 is riskier than trusting your deck full of cantrips to come up with a land 3 turns from now.

@@BoshNRoll yeah I get the dress down + force lifeline, my point is you didn't need to shuffle and ponder right away, the land floating on top could have been the fourth land drop you needed for the verdict

Just seeing how generally bad mystic sanctuary is in legacy just tilts me even harder that it got banned in modern. Card was totally fine.

Mystic Sanctuary was better before the banning of Expressive Iteration, rebuying EIs in the late game was an important part of keeping UR Delver from gassing out and it was good enough that some of the control decks had adopted that tech. Now that EI is gone, the targets aren't as good.

@@noesunyoutuber7680 yea, but delver was already playing ways to bounce the sanctuary in the form of daze, and they only played the 1 copy (I'm fairly certain) the card was mostly bad in control decks because it was a tapped land a fair amount of the time, and there was no efficient way to reuse it. It fit perfectly into modern, allowing control decks to have a decent late game and a potential (HIGHLY OVERRATED) soft lock in the form of cryptic command, a card that is completely unplayable these days, that is to MH2.

You play almost always this deck... some variety would be nice

@@BoshNRoll maybe i expressed myself not ideally. What i meant was that you use very often the Legacy White Blue control cards, and add an odd card to see the result... For me, It would be more interesting to see more quirky or less common decks, like the neoform Modern deck you used some days ago... But Hey, i Watch you everyday anyway, cause you make entertaining content, so keep It up!

Today's video is Mono-red Goblin Pyre of Heroes Combo. Sometimes I just have to play vanilla UW control in between the normal insanity I'm cranking out.
