BIG DECK, BIG WHEELS! Legacy Grixis Yorion "LeoPile" Day's Undoing Control. Hullbreacher Narset MTG

Ойындар

I play a Magic the Gathering Online Legacy league with Grixis Yorion "LeoPile" Day's Undoing Control, a longtime passion project from Patreon subscriber Leo. This deck has the best discard and counters in Legacy that one would expect from a Grixis Control deck, then with 20 extra cards for big Yorion in command zone there's also room for a Hullbreacher, Narset, Day's Undoing wheel combo package. Big deck, big wheels! MTG

Having watched your videos on a daily basis and seeing all the test settings, can say this is the best setup when you can clearly see all the cards without any need for zoomage. Which is the best case you've been looking for and hope this sticks when I know how fiddling with settings can be an absolute pain but glad you got it figured out. Then to add in this is a Yorion build and can see things like this? I stand by my previous statement even more, keep these settings!

I commented yesterday about the display quality but forgot to hit send. :) I think you should experiment with disabling Clear Type in Windows. Text smoothing/clear type can appear mushy and blurry, specially when not in native resolution. When disabled, text can appear more pixelated but is much sharper... and probably also scale better. But native resolution and Clear type disabled is my best bet for the crispest image. Great video as always! :D

It may be deliberate, but there is a black bar on the Right hand side of the video during the deck tech which isn't very nice. Have you considered just getting a new monitor that matches the resolution you want to record at. If you record at 1080p for example, but don't want your taskbar there, you can maybe get a 16:10 monitor and then record only the top 9/10th of the screen for a 16:9 recording. Good luck either way!

At 54:40 they actually couldn’t force from exile. Seek The Beast has really unusual wording that says “until your next end step” rather than “until the end of your next turn”, so as soon as it became their end step, they lost access to that daze and force

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to pilot Yorion Grixis Control. The tech is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical play patterns most of the lines will go over a typical pilot’s head. There's also Sorin’s powerful value, which is deftly woven into his abilities- his plus draws heavily from Dark Confidant, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these traits, to realise that they're not just good- they say something deep about CONTROL. As a consequence people who dislike Yorion Grixis Control truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the skill in the pilots existential catchphrase "Yeah, that resolves," which itself is a cryptic reference to Richard Garfield’s work in Alpha, Counterspell. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Leo's genius piloting unfolds itself on their board. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂 And yes, by the way, i DO have a Prismari Command tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎

The real problem is he has to hit exactly 2 1 cost removal spells and a land to kill both enemy creatures and a land to play the Engineer AND hope his opponent doesn't have a blocker or removal because he's just dead to Trap soon as well. Sure, he had like a .1% to win, but. We take those concessions

@@rekennerwell he needs to draw only one 1 mana removal spell (or land plus edict) because he can chump with plague engineer for a turn. And the following turn fable flips and he soon needs to find another removal spell or a way to take the initiative. Certainly not 0.1% tho

Based on this comment, your IQ is probably around the number of cards in this deck, post sideboard. Obscure/uncommon words do not equate to high IQ. If we made everyone on the planet play this game like their life depended on it, you’d be dead in the first round. Remember the hardest part of playing magic is choosing the right deck. If your deck requires you to be much better than your opponent, then you are the idiot for playing it. No matter how much you love the deck, you’re still dumb if you register it.
