The utter shock in Legends voice when he realises the Chaos Prince is part of a 10/10 doomstack. I really liked this one. I am frustrated with the Chaos Prince as a Lord. Still am, since as Legend says all hes there for is upkeep reduction. But at least he did SOMEthing.

Are all deamon princes considered weak? I'm curious to know why. Some of them do seem a bit underpowered (low armor etc), but I do like the flavour. The Nurgle one looks awesome.

What I actually quite like about this is that it shows how the daemon prince (as in charakter + faction) can be good: by finding synergies between different chaos-gods

Korne doesn’t hate all magic actually. Spells that makes you physically stronger and your equipment better are just fine in his bok. What’s not is when you start summoning fire storms and lightning bolts.

Khorne does, in fact, not hate magic. Khorne likes magic when it is put to good use ... for example making magical weapons like axes of two-handed swords. What Khone absolutely despises is *sorcery*, using magic to fight instead of engaging in honourable melee combat, mano a mano!

Y'know...him being able to make basically free doomstacks makes a weird amount of sense. Daemon Princes on the tabletop were always the economy choice.

Bloodshrines can't hide but the Juggernaut mount can

yah putting him on a juggernaut would be worth it if that is the case just for that little extra bit of speed honestly cause as legend had said before " you only move as fast as your slowest unit " and the bloodreaper isn't extremely slow but its not fast compared to everything else in the army.

@@GameDehne Might be better getting a slaaneshi hero and putting those on a mount. Can easily get 100+ speed whilst being able to hide in the forest. Did the khorne hero add anything else to the stack?

You could go undivided instead of khorne and get the Set Bonus with 15% Physical Resist for your whole army. Would make it quite abit more expensive tho.

@@theodemir1953 Agreed. As Legend has pointed out Doomstacks are not really needed in general in WH3 anymore. Making them even stronger might therefore not be worth the money. Maybe that changes when immortal empires comes out and you have to fight dark and high elves again

the demon prince is such a good faction if you dont bother with the demon prince himself and just make overpowered armies instead

I like playing as Demon Prince, don't get me wrong, he personally is a bad fighter, but: 1. You can have your army at 115 % cost reduction, having a doomstack for free, which will make the mission battles easy, if you want to do them. 2. You can have a global upkeep reduction of 25%, that's a big deal. If you spec your lord into the blue line, you may raise this up to 42%. 3. If you spec in Slaanesh, your tier 3 city can do 300 from city capital 300 from an income buliding, there is also a building in Slaanesh cities that give up to 200 (tier 3) income if the control is above 50, which is easy with Paramour, so 800 for a small tier 3 city. If you consider this with upkeep reduction, it makes quite a rich faction. 4. There is a plaque which gives vanguard deployment. With this Daemonettes wreck Kislev, which is your primary enemy. Playing very hard/very hard.

Having access to blue horrors early on with Khorne infantry is good also, they have poor AP so you just have your high armour Khorne infantry stall and deal with cav while your blue horrors kill stuff.

I mean, my daemon prince has never struggled in melee. He's no skarbrand powerhouse or Kairos spell caster but by the mid-game I can't think of many lords that can dual him plus, with 1 healing caster or if you give him some ability to self-heal, I think he's fine. Just not OP like other lords we are use to. I like the Daemon prince where he is. Only thing I would change is giving him some item slots too, no reason wouldn't use chaos artifacts and wear chaos infused amulets etc... all the other daemons do it. Maybe even carve Khorne runes into his skin as an "item" that give ward save and stuff.

@@markus-mirko4091 When you get to 4000 glory, or something like that, you get 25% discount for the units, but that's for each separate monogod and his dedicated units. Not sure absolutely, but I think I've checked it's global. Edit: Checked, it's global.

@@iforgotmyname1669 his stats aren’t good even in the mid game. His human form in the tutorial has better melee stats. He is not good. He’s subpar/average.

Watch the balance of power at 16:33 when the heal spell is cast.

Daemon Prince is underrated to some degree, there's a couple of REALLY neat things you can do with him that's particularly amplified by the fact you can change your equipment to have an optimal battle setup then end turn with an optimal campaign setup. He's a double mortis engine (many Khorne/Tzeentch tails, + some Nurgle wings) and the Nurgle line can make him a BIG FAT BOY and very well armoured, which can *seriously* offset some of his survivability issues. I've never managed to do well with him as a duellist though, and he's a bad caster, even with Tzeentch maxed. Hilariously he gets -miscast chance items. He cannot overcast.

Have to agree, equipped + armor set and he has 150 armour +15 phys resists, also checked weapons and by far double slaanesh claws animations are far superior than any 2h weapon from nurgle rewards or 1h+shield

Finally legends you're getting to grips with the power of undivided. They can get a beast of nurgle frontline, pink horror backline, plagueridden healer by tier 2. Then use a tzyntch lord for blue horror summons. Almost as soon as you start the game, and shortly with zero recruitment costs permanently. You can quickly get an alliance with skaven and get catapults too. Also daemon prince with nurgle focus and 2 mortis engines is busted to. I hope you look into nurgle more to understand how bonkers powerful it is. Allowed me to complete my first legendary campaign, painted the entire map and it felt like i was playing on easy. You set all your buildings and plagues to to get a conveyor belt of soulgrinders by turn 30. Then spread the plague on your enemy where they cant recruit. I'd say equal power to khorne, just less obvious Great video, thanks

Had a convo about this the other day....Daemon Prince could do with a bit of a buff, but the faction mechanics are just fine. The fact you can make a Bloodthirster stack buffed by Nurgle magics and so on makes for good fun.

That really is just Nurgle carrying the Bloodthirster. Even demon prince's set contributed nothing to the battle. Meanwhile 96% ward save Zhao will solo this and kill the daemon prince on minute 1 or something.

His "tech" also gives Bloodthirsters (and any other Khorne unit) +8 Bonus vs Infantry

Funnily enough this is almost a fluffy 40k doom stack as well. Daemon Primarch Angron is so favoured by Khorne that he's escorted by the Cruor Praetoria. Twelve of Khorne's most favoured exalted blood thirsters.

I came up with a similar doomstack on my own campaign. What i do is mix in a lot of heroes from all gods except tzeentch. So i get 4 plagueriddens one of wich is death magic and all with locus of fecundity. Get two shadow demmonets for magical damage and with the phys resistance and melee defence buff and two blood reapers one with dmg buff and other attack buff. I also get one or two beasts of nurgle for their passive aoe debuff. And usually i get a bloodthirster general to buff the bloodthirsters. I just get them in a big ball and throw it in the thickest part of the enemy army. You can also get even more debuffs and buffs by stacking your heroes with items. Frankly seems unstopable to me. You can also do it with keepers of secrets and some soul grinders of slaanesh but from my testing seems way less effective.

Gotta say that I really enjoyed seeing this honestly cause it feels good when a melee based army just wrecks everything and not get super punished. Also that upkeep cost jeez thats super cheap. Definitely was worthy of a 10 out of 10 even if the lord sucks

I think that from 10 Daemon Prince armor to 70 bloodthirter armor, it's a bigger defensive boost than having 5% more phisical resistance from 20% to 25%. So the Daemon Prince itself is squishier than the Bloodthirsters by a non small margin, even when the DP has the best defensive items he can get here.

This is the power of the Legion of Chaos, that you can build the perfect counter to any challenge you face (and do the same with your hero). It works extremely well with the campaign. Synergy and abandoning the idea of a solid line is the key with the demonic races, not playing them like the previous factions.

I had a similar army in one of my campaigns but the demon prince was and exalted blood thirster and my ground unit was a shadow wizard on a horse, not cheaper but but much stronger

That magistrate at the beggining: I took a calculated risk, but man am I bad at math.

A totally lorefriendly representation of how staying with Chaos Undivided allows one to combine strengths of Chaos's different aspects.

Question: Do you think the stack could work better with an Exalted Bloodthirster as leader (while still being in the Undivided faction)? It'd be a lot more expensive due to the loss of the set bonus, but if money isn't a problem, could provide a more solid leader? Also more magic item options.

If you go undivided glory to max you can get like 40+ resistance and near 100 armor on the prince + a set bonus that gives your whole army +15% phys resistance, though in turn losing -60% upkeep and only having -30%.

Great video legend. I know this is kinda unrelated but I think 4x speed is bugged. It feels the EXACT same as 2x speed. I noticed this in a battle I won yesterday and wanted to run down broken units.

If you want to make the army better you can get the armored undivided deamon prince set. It gives the army 15% physical resistance and more weopon strength. If you dont mind the upkeep.

The fact that the AI can remember where your troops where before being hidden is a great improvement. I believe it's not easy to program it, especially with neural networks.

These AI definitely doesn’t use neural network. It’s probably something simple like setting targets to each units which they’ll move toward their position or last known position and not removing them. And I think this is also the reason why they ignore barricade that were built at the start of the battle. If they actually use neural network AI the cost of it (and it’s maintenance) would be more expansive than the game development and they’d go bankrupt.

Sadly unlocking bloodthirsters is still glitched, be warned if you want to try it.

Warhammer 1 is boring in comparasion. But you will need to buy it to get the full map. Warhammer 2 is great, but it is the most fun with the DLCs and if you want all of them, it will be very expensive.

Perhaps the AI suddenly had the great idea of cheesing legend by "Let attack his army by surprise when he think we are going to form up and march to our death in orderly manner." 😂

After watching this I'm scared to think what multiplied Blood Thirsters could do.

Demon prince shines at army buffs more so than making himself strong. Though if upkeep weren’t an issue I wonder if an exalted bloodthirster’s red line would do more for the bloodthirsters? Then you would have a strictly better lord with item slots.

This is impressive. I never liked blood thirsters in my khorne playthrough. They are expensive and squishy all-rounder only good for tearing down towers. If I want anti-large I go MinotaurGW. If I want to flank I get skullcrasher, If I want to harass ranged units, I just summon bloodletter on their face. It’s good to see you put them in good use as Daniel, the Meme prince.

I do like the Armored Prince of Chaos set more. At the cost of a way more expensive army, you get +15% physical resist for the whole army, as well as the Daemon Prince being tough enough to actually participate in the fight.

Those Bloodthirsters had the day of their "lives". The only fly in the ointment was the Nurgle demon using magic to heal them.

I had my eye on something like this for a while but could not get into the demon prince campaign with the number of bug/features in the game right now.

I didn't get Warhammer 3.. waiting for CA to fix it. Legendof Total WAR youre a legend THANK YOU for everything. But I am building a raitiling gun doomstack and it's just way more fun

For Khorne, Skarbrand is essentially unstoppable fully maxed out. I beat a Very Hard Khorne Campaign mostly running whatever and I took 17 Bloodthirsters and 2 heroes on bloodshrines to easily win the Be'lakor fight. Exalted Bloodletters are really good, the chaos warriors with halberds are good. Bloodcrushers are good. Most Khorne units are viable in my opinion being either B, A, or S tier. Technically, there's not much of a reason to even run a doomstack for Khorne. Your low tier units shit on Slaanesh units since the A.I. is laughably bad at playing Slaanesh right and by the time you're fighting Cathay/Kislev, you already have bloodthirsters usually. Really, you can run whatever you're able to afford. Also, you really don't have to worry much about healing Khorne units since they have such higher replenishment, and a good army can easily beat 2 at a time without losing any units. It's extremely rare to encounter a 4 stack army in the ROC campaign. Only time I saw it was a Kurgan attack against the Bastion. Most of my Khorne campaign I just used Exalted bloodthirsters, chaos warriors with halberds, a couple bloodthirsters, some bloodcrushers to easily catch and destroy fast units, and a bloodshrine or two. I mean even in this video, he probably wouldn't have needed to even heal the bloodthirsters because none of them got close to dying against a 4 stack Cathay army. Add in Skarbrand instead of Daemon Prince and the bloodthirster doomstack is extremely viable for Exiles of Khorne as well as Daemons of Chaos.

Theres an armor set for undivided for the prince that gives the entire army +20 armor and +15% physical resist and he ends up with 150 armor. One of the few that buffs the whole army itself might be worth using.

i'd choose undivided path for this because you loose 50% upkeep reduction ( you have 10% upkeep reduction while undivided) but you gain 15% physical resistance and 20 armor on your entire army and its just so good

Wow, it's insanely good and for only 2K upkeep.

Blood shrines cannot hide but he can hide on a juggernaut. I’d say with the way you want to use this army something like a shadow alluress on those snake horse things would do well.

If the daemon prince had access to a red skill tree, magic items and ancillaries, he would be so much better than he is now.

Only thing i would change is getting Locus of Contagion on the Plagueridden. Its really good for killing blobs of infantry and has unlimited uses. 3 uses of the aoe heal Locus, when you already have aoe healing with magic, isnt worth much in comparison.

Did the same thing with dedication to Slannesh, never needed to go to end game units, Exaleted Daemonetes won me the map easily.

Chaos Undivided makes them stronger, the armoured champion of chaos set gives +15% Physical resist and +20 armour to the whole army. Khorne devotion just gets you lower upkeep.

Nurgle magic is so good

The hell is wrong with Daniel's hitbox? Even if you do stack up resistances and armour, he seems to take more damage from shooting than other big lords. It's like he's a reverse mammoth, with a hitbox bigger than his body.
