In his book John Hargrove, a former Orca trainer at Sea Work, describes what it's like to have an Orca echolocate while in the water with you. He said its different than when they're "singing" and that it felt like a light buzzing all over the inside of his body as the whale sent out the clicks from the other side of the tank looking for him. I think that would be amazing to have that experience. By the way did you know that whales make these noises from their blowholes as they don't have vocal cords.

I have always felt a very different feeling in my chest when I hear whales. Earlier something put this thought in my head that whales are lonely and that's why when one is sad/depressed and alone they can somewhat relate to the sound of a whale. But when I later realized that being alone and managing to handle ourselves is so powerful I thought how powerful and strong these sounds are. Kind of gives me the strength for spending time alone by myself. And in fact, gives me the realization of the importance of having that time for introspection. So good!

Listening to this feels very...I don't really know how to describe it. It's so calming to listen to, just hearing the gentle calls of whales deep in the ocean, alone, yet so strong and magnificent. It's so much different than listening to simple waves crashing on the shore or rain hitting a house. It's sad as well, especially the lower notes the whales hit. It genuinely love whale noises and don't understand how people find them creepy or scary.

I wish i could unterstand why people think whale singing is creepy. For me it is one of the most beautiful things on earth. It is a suttle and soft way of communication considering how huge these animals are. There are so many whale species that just roam the sees, drifting slowly through the endless oceans and being some of the softest and kindest animals to exist. Whale songs fill my heart with awe for nature.

By the way, fun fact, whales make these noises from their blowholes as they don't have vocal cords.

Jim King they don't attack people in the wild. Ingrid Visser swims with Orca in New Zealand almost daily and has don't so for over a decade and she's never even had a close call, no aggression whatsoever ever. People swim with Orca in Norway and nobody has ever been attacked there either. There's never been a case of an Orca attacking a person in the wild, ever.
