    Interesting. I started training my kick with my arms at my side as well, because I found it helped me isolate the movements in my torso more. Subconsciously, having my arms in streamlined position caused me to want to flex at the shoulder joint which is counter-productive in many ways including potentially injuring oneself. Being on your back just allows you to breath.

    I go 50m fly kick on my back with fins in 35-40 seconds... how in the world do you get down to sub 1:50 for 200? Is this 200 yards or 200m kick?
