I really appreciate you doing real-time videos and explaining your process as you go along. I'm new to marker art, so it's really been helping me a lot. I'm so amazed by what you create with markers! This is such a challenging medium for me. Keep posting! :)

My oil painting teacher told me to avoid black as well, because black mixed with any color just makes it muddy and gross. Whereas if you mixed a really really dark color for a black (my go to was always mixing pthalo blue and some dark red) it's infinitely more interesting to look at than just black straight from a tube.

Thank you so much for sharing these recordings! Watching your process has changed the way I think about using markers and it's really inspiring.

Dude, your mastery skin tones is amazing!! I just found your channel and I'm an instant subscriber!! How do you determine your color choices for a given image? I think my biggest obstacle in understanding the process is how you seem to have a step by step layering process for each individual tone. I get lost too quickly in my own efforts. Something I've been wondering is about pencil lines. Its not a problem here because you have so much color but what about in places with really light colors? How do you deal with pencils when you have a very light set of colors like yellows? Do you just ink over them?
