If you'll notice, characters with more *intent* to kill you tend to have more animation. Papyrus had no animation at the start of the fight, and then slowly gained more animation as the fight continued, showing papyrus' want to protect his brother. Just a fun fact!

I love that papyrus is moving, he’s ACTUALLY trying in this battle, and I always love when animators have the player get hit, makes it organic, so fucking good man awesome job

They are not a MONSTER! They are humans

I'm sure many have already sung the praises of this animation and I don't want to be a broken record so instead I would praise other aspects of the animation that not many would mention 1) I like how every animation with Disbelief Papyrus just needs to add a random minigame in phase 3 for no reason and it's the same here with phase 4. It implies either he's having way too much fun with Gaster's powers or Sans was exhausted and Papyrus and/or Gaster was like I got you homie and used it as a distraction 2) The movement of the soul is very hard to replicate due to how it requires human input but you nailed its movement with only few robotic movements and it also included a few mistakes as well to make it so that it feels like the player encountered it for the first time. It's something not many fan animations can do and your one of the few ones to be able to replicate it. 3) I love the implication of phase 5. Now I know there's probably many fanmade phase 4's for Last Breath and phase 5's for both Last Breath and Disbelief Papyrus but to me, It's always been 3 phases for Last Breath and 4 Phases for Disbelief Papyrus and there were never anymore. Now its pretty clear why they lasted this long. Sans wanted to kill the human even if it costed his life. Papyrus on the other hand wants the human to see the error of their ways and to stop the killing right till the end which someone explains why He lasted so long as if he wanted the human dead the whole time he would've lasted 2 phases at best. Now that they were together, they lasted so long due to papyrus not going all out from the start, Papyrus letting Sans rest at phase 3 and Papyrus still believing in the human at the end with Sans pushing his limits and protecting his brother along the way. Their own motives were strong, but because they had each other, they lasted so much more longer than if they encountered the human by themselves. I can't believe I overanalyzed a phase but its better than shipping Sans with his alternate universe self. Also before I go, something annoys me is how everyone keeps forgetting that in the canon ending of Last Breath (I think idk) Flowey and Asgore teams up to kill the human implying that Sans was the distraction and nobody seems to be bring this up beside *ah yes tea* . Hope to see this channel progress with many more fan animations to come

Im pretty sure most of you people have already noticed this but if you look at the bones you can tell that Papyrus's Bones are more big and thick while Sans are more slim and small. This is why i love these animations because the people who make them really put thought and effort into it like these small details. It also shows you when Papyrus and Sans are actually trying their best even while they are wounded, and still believe in the player.

Most accurate parts of the animation: - Papyrus simply crying when he finally has enough evidence - the giant bone tank. yeah. if papyrus can build a whole big gauntlet of stuff he can probably do that - Gaster claiming Chara made him disappear. I don't think we have any serious proof of it, but that may be a crazy-accurate wild guess considering A) sans describes all the kills as possibilities disappearing B) the Goners only appear in a fraction of save files or not at all, and are heavily associated with the words "could have been" C) Gaster's fate seems tied to the story of the Goners, like he maybe is one that just ended up in all Goner timelines So did Chara delete Gaster from the multiverse? I don't know, maybe!

My brother can't speak highly enough of undertale and I'm getting into the community because of fans like you guys! Papyrus really believing in the human is so sweet and I love the idea of him holding back even until he dies in the genocide run.. he's certainly my favorite character and you did such a good job animating him!!!!

Something that got to me while watching this animation is the transition into badtime in phase 2. both times. The bone attack is unique and creative, and the Undyne transition is genius.

This animation (made to look like a game) honestly has the best fighting in it. It gives you chills with Sans spinning the bone attack and Papyrus breaking the player's box with. Giant bone. On another note: It is heavily implied, in undertale, that Papyrus (at the mimimum) is as tough as Asgore, if the king isn't holding back. I wish we could see Papyrus's true strength in a sequel of undertale. I'm pretty sure he would be almost impossible to beat. Much harder to beat than Sans. In fact, if there was a sequel it would be really cool if the player, no matter what, dies to Papyrus as the ending and you're forced to reset from a genocide ending. Otherwise youre stuck in an endless loop of fighting him (which is an incredibly difficult challenge each time which should last as the longest battle time-wise, longer than any other). Maybe im describing disbelief here (i dunno i don't like disbelief much and haven't watched a vid of it all the way through and i still don't like the disbelief sprite here either or idea of it) but i defo want Toby Fox to do his own version or at least just show us Papyrus's true potential. Again, make it a really long battle to show how much stamina Papyrus has and how tough he is, as well as determined. I love that you show Papyrus's strength here. That he adores Sans and wants to protect him, reciprocate the love that Sans has for him. I think he would be more determined here because Sans is alive, and he wants to keep it that way. More determined than disbelief, maybe. Only criticisms i have is at 7:20 with Papyrus putting his bone in front of Sans it doesn't really look right. I wonder if he could have held the bone in the other hand instead. Make the bone slightly shorter, too, to fit in the frame. At 13:02 there maybe could have even been more activity here attack-wise but I'm just nitpicking I suppose as I know this part is the equivalent of a break for Papyrus. At 29:17 the word 'keep' is repeated. I'm 50/50 with liking the whole help from void thing with Sans being hit yet still surviving. Doesn't make much sense. Don't like the idea of Gaster much but how you've animated his parts with the glitching screens etc during his parts is, admittedly, incredible. Extremely well done animation in total. Masterpiece.

All of your works for this AU are all masterpieces The timing, the dialogue between the characters, animations, the attacks referencing both Disbelief and Last Breath. Honestly, i'm out of word for this. It's too good y'know, there's no chance that this won't have a fangame based on this [HEAVEN] animation. Good job on this, really enjoying it. Keep it up man!

Alternative title: pissed skeletons with crazy lore and plot twists.

This is like a combination of the most popular fight extension scenarios combned. We got Gaster. We got two skeletons We got disbelief and many parts directly taken or inspired by the animation We got sans taking a hit We got plot armour for all sides. The only thing that is missing is _infinite_ phases until it becomes utterly unrecognizable.

The final phase is truly my favorite because it tells a lot about papyrus as a character, the way, even after murdering everyone and almost his brother, he believes, and that is what matters to him.

I’ll tell you right now, if this were an actual fangame, Merg would need at LEAST a decade to figure out the rhythm in order to no-hit this.

@@Memaster64 понятное дело не он, а переводчики. Если перевод просто делают фанаты, то благодарить надо их, а если это заказной перевод, то венниза. Тут зависит от ситуации. Но реально спасибо за поправку, я реально забыл о первом варианте.

This was absolutely PHENONEMAL. From the story, to the character designs, to the intense moments, it was great, and you know what was great? THE SOUNDTRACK. It was very EPIC and describes the intensity of the current animations on the screen. It was great, and probably the best Undertale fight animation in the style of Undertale (In my opinion). Overall, it as very very very very Great! Keep it up!

i actually find so interesting at the power the player has in the Undertale universe, it’s like a omniversal level, because they can’t die, they always return, they always survive, they might look mortal, but they are the reaper of every reset, the death of every life, even if you kill the player, they. will. come. back. There’s no ending that result in the monsters winning, it’ll only be suffering

Not really, we only get to reset because of a higher amount of dt. An example of this is basically omega flowey killing us on repeat for fun, only losing to his own arrogance

Sans, Papyrus in disbelief, and Undyne still undying really makes a trio With Gaster coming back makes a quartet

Themes for each phase were: Phase 1: attack of the brothers Phase 1.5: but they refused to back down Phase 2: the Interstellar retribution continues Phase 2.5: no more beliefs Phase 3: also no more beliefs Phase 4: a spine-chilling encounter Phase 5: last breath for a final chance

I like the fact that at 3:20 and all the other times sans got attacked he almost always moved infront of pap just shows how much he truly cares for him

2 developers met up and decided to make this fire game🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I love the part where papyrus gets absolutely pissed and tells sans to take a break "I CAN'T STAND YOUR DESIRE TO HURT US!!"

I love how you can tell the difference between San's and Pap's bones, as Pap's have wider tips than Sans. That's a really cool little detail.

Mate, youve SINGLEHANDEDLY redeemed this fangame, it was practically canceled and keft on its own, and you stood up and made an animation the level of disbelief, you are AMAZING, i dont even like the themes, they dont work, but you made them, youre so good at what you do.

@@bingbong8464 but it isnt done very well, its not mixed, its just a pretty bad combination of motifs, look at "a spine chilling encounter", and tell me, is there more of an engmatic encounter or backbone or the same of each? obviously theres way more from last breath and its the same with EVERY theme except for phase 1 and maybe 5.
