Just so I can clear up some confusion, Sans doesn't have three fingers on his hand, he's wearing mittens where the pointer finger is separated from the other fingers, I had mittens like those too and gloves just looked weird on him :P Also yes I am TC-96, this is an old youtube account but it's all I got XD

This is my favorite Sans vs Frisk animation. I tell you why. Several people interpret Frisk (or Chara, it depends) as an acrobat that is a master of flips and cartwheels. I'm not saying Frisk can't do any tricks at all, they can most likely do a cartwheel or a foward/backwards roll, but they have Frisk doing flips in mid air, jumping off a barrage of bones, etc. But this animation makes Frisk act like a actual child. Their attacks aren't too crazy and actually like something a real 8-10 year old child would do. They don't have a specific technique and just swing the dagger around, their only goal being to kill Sans. Sans, in almost every animation, is overpowered, and is practically Jesus. He is edgy, and he goes from being laid back, slightly careless, but can and will kick your butt, to edgy, will kill you, no questions, and his attacks are too FAR powerful. There are some animations where Sans just straight up beats the crap out of Frisk. But this one makes him laid back, a little goofy, less serious, NOT edgy, and is just overall superior to other interpretations of Sans in animations like these.

So it would make sense that they would be as acrobatic and crazy in the other animations, only those other animations forgot one detail. Frisk never uses their full power in a fight. Plus it adds alot of dramatic affect to the animation, makes it look cooler. But that's just sum' future lore is up to, the animations out there are all very nice :)

The flickering yellow/blue eye is the one thing that makes this animation more unique. It pays attention to small details. Unlike some other certain fanimations.

I love this. It's calm. Sans is more like himself and isn't some edgelord. He isn't too overpowering, like a lot of animations where there are bones flying everywhere and he has 40 gaster blasters out at once. You didn't ruin it with that Megalovina music. Frisk/Chara doesn't turn into some acrobat like they have been taking gymnastic lessons all their life. They are a kid, they aren't gonna be doing a bunch of backflips and stunts. I just love this whole thing. No mushy crying or anything. Perfect. The perspectives are perfect. The zooms are perfect. The drawings and details are amazing. The background is so detailed and it's shaded really well too. I love the little details like the glow on San's jacket when he uses magic and how his fluff on his hood moves like it's being blown through a breeze. The emotion is well portrayed.

As amazing as the animation is, what I really appreciate is the way you nailed the feeling of the fight. Far too often you see people portray Sans as a violent edgelord, fueled by his hatred for you for killing his brother and who oftens wears his own brothers scarf as a reminder of what you did to him. I absolutely cant stand it when people do that, that's not how hes portrayed in the game. But you nailed it. You portrayed Sans as slightly goofy and chill throughout the fight, but added a certain tension and that last bit of emotional trauma at the end to make sure it's not too light hearted. Absolutely perfect. And even though I hate it when people portray Frisk as being posessed by Chara, I kinda like the way you handled it. You make it clear it's still Frisk, so you could see them being possesed as Chara as them being obsessed with the feeling of power they get from killing (which is what Chara is said to represent). Unless your intention was just to show that it's all Chara's fault and you shouldnt blame Frisk, which is something a lot of fans seem to do, then I think its a bit of a weak excuse. But I hope how I interpreted it was your intent. I also like how you didn't make the fight too over the top. Tons of people portray Sans as this god who fills the whole screen with lasers and bones with Frisk just getting beaten the shit out of, which always seemed like overdoing it to me. Your way the fight plays out feels a bit more turn based structured like the game, which I tink is really cool. And ofcourse the lack of Megalovania was a very good and original choice. And the voice acting for Sans wasnt overdone like in so many videos. You absolutely nailed the feel of the fight man, good job. So yeah man, you clearly care about this game and really understand it. Good on you for not making the same mistakes so many undertale animators make, which I wasnt more than sick of seeing.

Great job man. This fandom really is not the best. I kinda got sick of Undertale fan content, even though I absolutely love the game, because I was tired of constantly seeing the same sorts of stupid mistakes I listed in my comment over and over again. Really glad to be pleasently surprised for once. This gives me some hope for the fandom.

Sans does go all out though? He is upset. He remains mostly calm throughout the fight but at the beginning and the end he goes all out, and you see the desperation and exhaustion on his face. And he is the hardest boss in the game, with god-like attacks and abilities. I like TC's version of the fight more than most, sure, but Sans being royally pissed and powerful is canon.

I love the details paid to this animation. A lot of animators neglect the fact that Sans' left eye turns cyan/amber ONLY when he is using telekinesis and throwing Frisk's soul around. Some forget the "amber" part and most neglect the fact that his left eye doesn't flare with magic all the time. But you got both points! Cookies for you. :-) P.S. Can I also mention how much I laughed 1:19 and 1:53? I was giggling like a dork in both scenes. xD

i think it should of been shown when he was holding frisk too. this is because he can throw you around with out his eye glowing. it’s basically just like using normal blue mode and putting them down or up or whatever (like when he slams you against the wall and summons bones where he hit you.) i like to think that he is using “controlled” blue magic (pretty much telekinesis) whenever his eye glows because he is focused and using blue magic. that’s why he uses it in his strongest attack and at the end when he’s desperate.

I know right. And it doesn't fit either of their personalities. Both of them have an emotional mask on. Frisk's mask is stronger, while Sans has been keeping a mask for a long, long time.

I really like how you brought out exactly how terrifying sans is in these final moments. Most animators really just see "Badass" but this definitely brings all of sans' character to light, the hilarity, the sadness, the anger, all of it. Fantastic animation, long time fan!

Sans animations have beem done so many times before, so I was critical at first. But this contains originality! You weren't using the megalovania soundtrack, Frisk wasn't dashing around all over the place like some acrobat, Sans didn't start crying, and it even contained some humour, with underlying serious tones, just like the game! Well done!

1:17 this part makes it the best sans boss fight I've ever watched

This is a very fluid animation, and Sans' face is probably the most expressive I've seen it. Chara taking over is handled very well, and the initial dodge is hilarious. Watching Sans smugly waving at Frisk as they faceplant is amazing, and the initial death feels quick and kind of surprising in how quick and loud its and how startling the black/white flash can feel. Seeing genuine rage on Frisk's face makes the attacking feel predictable, and makes it all the more enjoyable when Sans somewhat lazily dodges all their attacks and then easily punishes. It was cool to see Sans seem genuinely surprised with how quick Frisk came back. It makes Sans feel less like an angry god and more like just a really powerful mortal. Then, after he dodges, it's back to business as usual as he raises an eyebrow as if to say "Really kid? Is that all you've got?" That eyebrow is fucking perfect. The attack when Frisk throws the knife is also a nice callback to Mad Dummy. "Who needs friends when you have knives? I'm... all out of knives." We get more of surprised Sans when Frisk summons a knife Glitchtale style, and he still dodges masterfully with an amazing combination of anger, surprise, and maybe a little fear on his face. I love how it shows weakness but also shows he's no pushover. The potential fakeout death for Sans is done quite well, as the sound effect for the knife sounded like it would perfectly transition into the sound effect for striking a monster. Then, we cut to Sans, having caught Frisk with blue magic. The way he gently pushes the knife so that it is no longer pointing at him and casually walks away is very satisfying in conjunction with his three-hit combo. The reveal of the Gaster Blaster using the shadow cast from the light going into the window is genius, and so is the scene of Sans' flashback to the pacifist run as he seems to question what he's doing. Then, seeing the deaths of everyone, he kind of gets over it. One of my favorite details is how Frisk closes their eyes as they're engulfed in the blast. To me, it looks as if they're kind of accepting it? Kind of like "Yeah, I guess I deserve this." I also love the open ending. Overall, this is a great animation!

I love that this animation did not include megalovania in it. This is a 'last hope' kind of battle. Where someone who had lost everything and everyone he cared for, is fighting against the monster responsible. Megalovania playing in the background would just make this sound like they are just showing off their cool killing skills.

It's not just the absence of Megalovania, it's the pacing and direction of the whole animation. It's much more slow and deliberate, Sans starting the fight with a _flippant_ sort of demeanor, each of them sort of sizing the other up. It doesn't quite fit the established mood of the scene as it is in the game with Sans (quite understandably) starting things off at full tilt, but now that that exact version's been done to death it's fascinating to see a bit of a different but equally valid take on it.

I love these animations. Sans' personality is right on point, the art is accurate to the characters (in my opinion), and the Sans fight is practically mirrored. You could not have done better on this.

Not exactly the Sans fight. This was the last Sans fight, in the last genocide route. This isn't the first time they've gone genocide.

One thing I reallllly loved is the originality. No megalovania music, the comments section is free of cancer as of now. I'm really glad to see Undertale stuff like these. Keep it up TC :D

I don’t know what makes me like this so much. Maybe it is the style, the amazing flow of animation, the humor, the tone, or just all of the above. One thing that I would like to say is that his animation isn’t like anyone else’s, and definitely didn’t expect this. Most people would just use Megalovania, but you chose a different route. Using that song, even though I love it too, makes it seem like it is just a fight and not an actual scene with a story. Even though there is always a story, Megalovania can definitely skew your view of the story trying to be told. This animation also avoided a bunch of tropes, like everything being done so quickly you need to rewind time and time again to catch what is going on. Sans also didn’t seem like a raging ball of fire ready to kill, and he didn’t cry in this either, which I give props to you on that. He seems so in control, which I will get to later. Anyway, the music and pace made you think about what was happening. It made everything seem more...well, human in a way. That this isn’t just a fight. That there is something more going on. There is this certain thing that I can’t seem to place, but it really just ties everything together. And back to the thing about Sans being more in control. As I said earlier, in most Sans fight animations, he does cry. And this completely combats that, and I love it. I believe the fact that he cry spoke to me more than tears or rage ever could. It showed that, yes, he does regret not doing anything before, that yes, he does remember all the good times, and yes, he wish that it hadn’t come to this. But he will do what has to be done. He will keep fighting for forever for what they have done. And at the end of the animation, it really did seem like it would last forever. That this fight would go on and on with no end in sight, even though we don’t actually see it. Like how it would feel to be in that fight. To never know if it will end or not. Anyway, that is all I’d like to say. Or at least all I could put into words. Beautiful animation. I’m probably going to watch this another dozen times after this. Keep up the amazing work :)

1:16 Such grace! 10/10! Also, I like how this animation portrays the Frisk doesn't want to kill Sans, and in the end, gives up. Also, I'm happy that sans won.

This animation is excellent.The presentation is amazing. The movement is beautiful. It all flowed nicely with the music. As much as this battle has been done, it still felt unique. Why? For one, Megalovania wasn't used. The introduction of the Gaster Blasters was epic, and the way the ending cut! There's so much more I'm sure I missed (Personally, I really liked the part when Chara emerged, and Sans used his power to hold him up and move him away!)!! TheCoolperson1996, you're awesome!!

SO far as i can tell YOU are the ONLY one who can give SANS's personality. In your comic series, in this animation. His expressions and personality are so well done. Toby aside only you are the one who is giving his personality true. I've seen a lot of animations about judgement fight and a lot of Sans'es in any other case (not talking about AU's. For example;Underfell, Horortale etc). But almost more than half are just too emo. Most of their Sans is acting sad instead of anger. hell even crying instead of smiling. Only couple of ''Sans''es were good but they were lack of emotion either. They were smiling, making puns and killing frisk hundreds of times BUT they lack the feeling of anger there. You friend however, you can express every single detail BY and WITH emotions. Im not just talking about this beatiful animation but also your comic series. There are only few persons who can express feelings of characters like you. Keep it up pal. You are doing great!

sans isn't angry on his fight tho, he never takes things seriously, not even the death of all his friends and the monsters, probably because he has this 'everything is just going to reset' thought deep inside, that's why he do absolutely nothing even if you killed almost everyone AND his brother (only if you killed absolutely everyone so ypu are lv 19 and he can take a huge advantage from that with the KR thing, you can call it strategy, I call it cowardliness) because he knows they will come back, hell he even plays with you and the save and load remember how you get the key to his 'lab', also how he recognizes your faces and other stuff, he is analyst, he doesn't let himself be carried away by his emotions, the only moment he got desperate was when you survived everything he had, even though with that he does the 'its my turn trick' but too late for him, he was exhausted and EVEN with that he is able to dodge the first hit, he only died because of Chara or something since you shouldn't be able to attack twice on the same turn and wait WTF why did I wrote so much stuff I only wanted to say he never gets too angry or sad only serious some few times lmao

IM NOT A FRISK A-

I love how this is calm yet intense. In game, sans doesn’t use gaster blasters every 2 seconds, always have a glowing eye, or run around getting bad. Most animations of sans vs frisk have really fast paced animation with sans running around which is completely out of character for him (not saying that those animations are bad or anything, their still incredible). Sans just dodges, he doesn’t run around jumping up and down. He just casually avoids Frisk’s attacks, which is what I really like about him. The fact that he’s so calm is a big appeal of him.

Megalovania wouldn't fit the theme on this animation. This is based off of the last genocide route, not the other ones. During the last genocide route, Frisk doesn't win, instead they give up and turn back.

You know, I really REALLY loved this animation so SO much! But there is one moment I really want to analyze. The moment where Frisk/Chara is about to hit Sans with the red knife. (2:07) At first, when theirs hands are shaking really really near of Sans’ chest, we can think that they can’t do it, they have something that stop them from killing him, like remorse. Sans’ breathing makes him look vulnerable, so it really looks like mercy. Then we see their head shaking too, which kind of confirm what we first taught. But then; we see that it’s only Sans that keep them from doing that. And we see exactly the same shaking on their hands, but it now just totally looks like they trying as much as possible to get him, to kill him. And now, Sans doesn’t look vulnerable at all. He is the one in power. And with just one little move of the hand, he can get away easily from this child. There’s like so many more things I could tell, it’s just so so good! And only in three months? That’s crazy! Keep like this, it’s really incredible!!! (By the way, sorry for the english, it’s not my first language...)

Every time i watch or read something that is undertale related and depressingly out of of character, I watch this to remember how it’s done. Sans isn’t constantly a sobbing aggressive overpowered edge lord, while frisk isn’t somehow an anime acrobat and that is super refreshing. Ppl seem to forgot what makes sans…sans. He’s a goofball, even you’re trying to kill him lol. He’s not aggressive unless needed, as throughout his fight he acts calm and dodges casually, not running and jumping around in a way he would never want to. Sans remains a mix of playful and imitating, and Frisk remains a child who at the bare minimum only knows how to jump to dodge or attack. I love the subverted expectation that he got stabbed. It first plays off as Frisk hesitating, but then the shot widens, showing that Sans is the one that stopped them and they where shaking because they where trying to to get to him, not because they felt remorse. The emotional moment here isn’t them both sobbing as they try to kill each other, but Sans hesitating as he remembers better days, before remembering the apathy and helplessness the resets brought, and killing Frisk out of bitterness. His facial expressions here are just amazing. Sadness, maybe something like not fully wanting to kill them, before transitioning straight into anger. And frisk just accepts it and gives up, which sans had always been trying to make them do, meaning he _won._ Oh, and Megalovania isn’t drowning out the entire fight. Its a banger but when added it kinda ruins the tension and makes it fell less like a serious fight and more of a music video. The sound affects and implied silence of the hall really let you feel the tension. Here the infamous sans fight is so tastefully done it just straight up feels just like undertale. You are inspiring me to animate, and I love your work, thank you

i love how this animation is slower-paced than most i've seen it really brings out the tension you feel inbetween getting beaten up during the fight xD well done

I love the animation! Here's a little inconsistency I noticed, though: At 2:38 you see sans walk almost right in front of the camera, and then his gaster blaster follows behind him, presumably behind the camera. This means it's on his left side. Then, at 2:48 it's on his right side. Surprised no one pointed this out. I love the animation though; Keep up the great work!

This is the absolute best Judgment Hall battle Animation I have seen and for a exceeding number of reasons! This whole video really captures that original "canon" Undertale feeling we all experienced when it first came out. For example Sans' eye only flashing when the blue soul/ telekinetic attack is used is a detail I found really interesting and something that is true to the game. As well as Frisk and Sans' personalities both being portrayed relatively accurate (Sans being carefree or nonchalant about the battle, and Frisk actually appearing very persistent and determined despite being beaten very badly.) There is tons and tons of other things I could compliment about this, and one of them being a thanks for actually making Frisk appear child like instead of a disgustingly exaggerated curvy teenage anime girl! But overall this is breathtaking! Great job to the whole team, I look forward to seeing more of your work! :)

TheCoolperson1996 ^^ Right ? I mean when I first played Undertale (without knowing much about it), I just thought I was playing as an Asian boy with a brightly colored, striped retro 90's shirt XD! Then I saw the official Frisk Little Buddy action figure, and realized I was way off. But, yeah I really don't know where the whole "curvy anime girl" and Frisk x Sans thing came from. When I first saw that ship, I immediately thought ("Ew, isn't Frisk like 8-10 or something?"). Really I just see Frisk and Sans' relationship, as Sans being the one watching over Frisk and just being a lazy, goofy guy in general. So kinda like Sans' is like a lazy, corny older brother? Dunno why that specifically, but just super platonic like your Frisk and Sans in your AU, Endertale. (Love your Comic AU series btw!)

I really liked how you brought out those elements of chara fighting sans, past memories from pacifist run, sans effortless attacks, and ect. I have seen these in other animations, but this is one of the best i have seen, nice job.

I like how you show the shadow of Sans towing that one Gaster Blaster behind him as if he’s an executioner dragging his axe to the chopping block. While I disagree with those who seem to hate other fan interpretations of this fight (I love them all), the way you made it is probably near the top of the list because of how it really feels more crude and less choreographed, if you know what I mean.

absolutely fucking brilliant. the subtleness of it; the way Sans gently pushes the knife aside once Chara's SOUL turns blue, it's the little details that make this my favorite animation. it's tragic. Sans knows the only way to save the world and avenge his friends and family is to rid the underground of Chara, but Frisk is the one he's fighting. The friend that freed them is the one he's having to kill to free himself. There's no epic explosions; Sans increasingly getting exhausted after hours of Chara repeatedly coming back, reloading, dying, reloading, leaving, saving reloading, dying, over and over again. If Sans can hold out a little bit longer, then maybe... HIT.

The only Sans voice... That didn't make me cringe... Amazing job on everything this video has to offer.

FRISK/CHARA: *Throws knife* SANS: *Gives that look* Bruh, this kid.

This so amazingly done well. Especially this is not like any other animation where this actually shows how Sans really acts whenever he fights Frisk. This one has no hesitation to kill Frisk as his anger gotten him from losing his friends and his brother from a murderer because of simple promise he made with Toriel in which he regrets for accepting it. Oh, and no blazing blue eye? That's another point for you because in the game, his eye only flickers and not in fire. You really followed what's in the game, and I give kudos for that.

Lets start: She misses, sans waves, then frisk finishes with faceplant. Good start.

It was so sad for me when Frisk just accepted that final death! He close his eyes and just let it hit him 😢

Not only the animation and how you portray the characters, but the sound effects are really good, you can feel how brutal the hit is by hearing the impact of Frisk's body, that gives me chills every time

Your interpretations of all the main cast's designs are spectacular! A lot of art just has something to it that makes the characters feel off. They just don't look right, especially Sans. But your designs are always spot-on, and feel like the perfect adaptation of the pixel art to a more cartoon-like setting. I love your work! Keep it up!

What i really love about this is the progression of the player, we don't know sans's battle moveset so we are bound to die over and over again but the curious and cruel thing is that we have time, we can always go back at the begging and improve our reactions. I love in this animation Frisk dies in mere seconds but then her movesets change and Sans goes from somebody who is having an easy time dunking us to somebody who can barely keep up with us till the end.

Ok, this is awesome. The movement is so natural, and Sans is not fighting in a extreme Dragon Ball-like battle; he stays calm since he knows that, even if he wins, the battle shall repeat over and over...

I really love how some of the best undertale animations use music from LISA the painful Goodbye really works with the sans fight in my opinion

« If we’re really friends you won’t come back » this gave me the chills.. This quote is so sad considering it’s a fact. You’re only existence as a player is torturing Sans and the only way to free him is to just go, that line must be the only one where Sans is being 100% honest with you. He just wanted you to begone and let the world live at peace.

I know I'm late but I love the fact Sans doesn't have a flaming blue eye all the time. he only uses it when he's throwing you around and even then it is a mixture of yellow and blue. His mouth doesn't move either.
