The unused theme (the song that might play when you fight sans) is Sans' actual theme while Megalovania is your theme since when you get there, you aren't fighting Sans anymore, Sans is fighting you.

Death by Glamour is a fucking masterpiece there's so much raw emotion in the music Toby created with synths and computerized tunes its actually beautiful. It's what old game designers had to go with mere decades ago and still had managed to pour their heart and soul into it. Music like this truly is timeless

My favorite boss theme from this game is probably Photoshop Flowey's. I don't know if it's an underrated track or if people just don't talk about it as much as the others. Looked through the comments a bit and haven't seen that as someone's favorite yet. I just feel like it generates that "epic battle" type of feel pretty nicely. Has elements of despair as you can't do anything to the boss at first and then the finale theme generates hope as the souls guide you to victory... Not saying this "epic battle" feel doesn't apply to some of the other themes but I just love how this one drives it home the best. That's just my opinion. :)

I find it quite embarrassing, but I used to have nightmares about Mettaton and they were terrifying.

I actually recently decided to look at this game, and fell in love with the characters and the overall decision-making capability of the game. Then, the SOUNDTRACK. I am OBSESSED. So much so, I make my kids listen to this with me. So now, I can be working on something and I'll just hear Dogsong being hummed... or the Spear of Justice screamed from a room. I just love it so much, it fills me with Determination.

@@clovercurator7997 most songs are written with meaning in them that reflects the characters motives or personality. It’s like art in a way, it rhymes. Hopes and Dreams reflects how it is impossible for you to win against Asriel but you’ve come too far to fail. Asgores them reflects how he feels like he doesn’t deserve mercy or forgiveness because of everything he’s done and that he HAS to take your soul for everyone in the underground. Battle against a true hero is how you are no longer the good guy and how your fighting the real hero in this story. Megalovania is basically “I can’t stop you but I’m gonna kick your ass while I stall you” There’s more but I’m not an English teacher, I can’t figure all this sorcery out

Rewatching this video made me realise how fucking amazing Spear of Justice is. Like,how is this not one of the most talked about song in the soundtrack? The way it starts so bluntly and fiery and then becomes more regal and valorous as the song goes on gives me life. The whole track is phenomenal.

Fun fact: Bonetrousle existed before papyrus did. It was intended as the main battle theme for Deltarune (as he started work on that before Undertale) but then he just gave up on deltarune for a while and decided to use bonetrousle (although of course this isnt what it was originally named) in undertale as to not let it go to waste.

The song at the end is unused it's called something like "the song that's supposed to play when you fight sans"

That explains why hearing the Napstablook's house theme on my second run reminds me of Muffet...

Neo Mettaton sounded like it had so much to offer, in his mind he was the ultimate being nothing could beat him in that form. Except a child with a toy gun.

I like how Toriel and Asgore have some similar attacks and similar melodies in their themes.

that is the heartache leitmotif, can be found in bothe toriel and asgores fight. there is a leitmotif that can only be found in the neo mettaton and undyne th eundying bossfight. Megaloviania also includes the leitmotif found in Bone trousle, The theme that might play when you fight sans, and if im not mistaken, his theme (asriel). If you dont knoe what a leitmotif you can search it up.
