If I remember correctly, it's proper etiquette in wrestling circles to only address one another by the name of the character. The only exception, from what I'd heard, was that, if you knew the wrestler before they were using their current gimmick, you could address them by the name they used, when you met them. Case in poit: Jesse Ventura would always address Gorilla Monsoon as "Gino", since when they met, Monsoon was wrestling under his real name of Gino Marella.

Probably because they or hardly anyone thought of Kane as doing it different. I never did. So he did it a little bit faster. I never noticed and it was probably never discussed for Kane to do it faster. This is probably the 1st time either of them have ever been asked that question and Taker was just doing his best to give an answer.

Man this is one of those questions that I've thought about over the years and never thought I'd ever hear answered because it's such a small detail that I've never heard many other people pick up on. Kane's delivery of the tombstone back in the day was always so awesome and unique, the way he'd just quickly drop down to his knees in like a snap motion and then boom they're spiked on their head and then on their back. It always looked so vicious, and it fit the silent masked killer Kane so well. I kinda wish he'd have kept doing it like that but he ended up doing it more like Taker's as the years progressed, I'm guessing because the snap tombstone is harder on the knees and hips, so can't really fault him for trying to look after himself.

Aside from Kane's 'snap Tombstone' variant, one thing I always thought was cool as hell about his version was his unique pin afterwards. Instead of crossing the victim's arms over their chest he'd spread them out sideways, in almost a (lying-down) crucifixion pose, and pin them to the mat by the wrists. (I always picture him pinning X-Pac this way in the cage, for whatever reason...) It still looked cool because it preserved the visual symmetry Taker's Tombstone pin has, but with his own twist. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fo1n1K1xdNCoZbg.html

the truck driving past at 2:46 probably looked to his right as he passed - saw a bald guy stationary in his car on the phone. Went about his day, bought himself a baloney a mustard sandwich. Returned home to his wife who has been drinking progressively earlier each day to feel a sense of adventure in a marriage that is now becoming stale after 17 years of the same routine. He eats his food that she's prepared, she gave him a slightly larger portion of mash potatoes because of the drinking - but he didn't notice or care. He works his way through six pack and waits for his wife to head upstairs to bed. At this point, pours a neat whisky and thinks about the finality of life and the way things play out. He thinks back to his childhood, after pouring one more whisky, and smiles with sadness in his eyes as he remembers the hopes and dreams he once had. He heads to bed, being careful to not wake his wife but not so careful that he stumbles into bed, yawns, coughs, and falls asleep. Ready to repeat the same things tomorrow. Little did he know, he'd just driven past Kane on the phone to undertaker.

He was trying to get positioned for the TV camera, the one that you would see while watching the PPV on TV, so he would be doing the tombstone facing that camera

I always saw it as him showing the crowd that he was so powerful and he could lift this gigantic man with ease. But of course i was looking at it for story telling perspective.

Kane and Undertaker should have one final no dq match to end their careers... in which both brothers destroy each other. Literally, but bang puff of smoke and both wrestlers are gone. The ref is left in the ring unable to finish the match. The brothers of destruction seemingly battling on in hell forever.

Remember when Brock reversed the Tomb Stone at No Mercy, flicked Takers entire body weight between shoulders to get into the F5. Scary strength.

Let's take a moment to thank Nick Castle (The original Michael Myers) for having the incredible abs strength to do....THE SIT UP in the original Halloween movie. Without him, Taker would've never done it.

Kane's tombstone pile-driver also has his own unique pin, victims shoulders down, arms spread out sacrificially, compared to Undertaker's victim's hands across the chest.
