Ah! those dots appear where I tap the screen. I was zooming with two fingers at that moment. This way you see what I'm doing better :)

Working my way through your video. I never realised that Photopills was so complex and able to do soo much. Amazing, thanks for your explanations.

Hey Mario! What 2 blue dots? There is only one showing your real position on the map. You can switch your position on the map by tapping the (+) map button and then the arrow head icon button. You have the details here: www.photopills.com/user-guide#step5

Hi, thank you. One question, how do I make the app orientate itself north… I know you can move it around but is there not a way that it automatically point north? Thanks

Hi Leonardo! In the Planner, the map is oriented north.

To find the location where I will see the moonrise behind a mountain 70 km away, I was unable to use the trick mentioned at 52:35 to extend the direction to the Moon backward and switch the Black & Red spots. The extension did not happen. I am on an Android Samsung A14.. Please advise. Thanks

I'm confused about the setting of the Moon Size. What does it mean to set the moon size to, say, 25m?

It's the "apparent size" of the Moon at your subject distance. And it depends on the shooting distance from your subject only. For example, if your subject has a height of 10m and you wish the Moon to have an apparent diameter of 10m (to have the same size of your subject height)... Then you need to shoot from 10m x 100 = 1000m (1km). The further away you are from your subject the larger the Moon will appear to be. Why does not exist a version for Windows? The ideal sitation would be, planning in a Windows version on a big screen with perfect overview, syncronize the planer with my Android phone or tablet for the field. This would make planning much more comfortable than playing with thick fingers on a small smartphone.😭
