POV: you have your students watch this video because it's really pretty epic and shows amazing details about the Elements of Art... the alphabet for all artists! Great job, Jescia.
Holy smokes, this is the most helpful video I've seen on this subject. So many videos of KZread say "Know the fundamentals", "get the fundamentals", "know the rules before you break them" but this is the first time I've seen someone actually give an understandable breakdown of those fundamentals. This was a great video thank you.

Thank you for this video, for you time and effort. It was really helpful, full of information and fun! I am interested in Interior Designing and this video really made it quite obvious that Interior design is like combination of various art areas, as the terms and principles are exactly the same.
This is great!! I love it! Thanks for posting :)
the trick with the diamond skull was really cool lol. It has felt like a univiversity class. Excellent video! thank you!
i"M TAKING A CLASS ON LINEs right now and i tell you girl you have saved my life. the way the book and teacher was explaining line, i thought there was a different type of line from what i learn as a kid. We are talking about anything tht has a line. Thank you for clearing my concerns up... you have a great way of explaining things... you are the teacher for me....lol CLICKED LIKE AND SUB....
Thank you so much for making this awesome video. I am an MS Art teacher and cannot wait to share with my students. I hope that's okay. For many of my students, this is the first Art class they've had. I appreciate your information.
Yo this its like cheating cuz literally a whole part of my exam was just watching this video lmao
Loved the wit used...
What an amazing job you have done here Jescia!!! My students get another view of how these are explained. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Make sure you check out her "Understanding the Principles of Design"
Amazing, thank you!
Very informative also i really like your like way of explaining, thank you ❤️
Your explanations and visuals are excellent! Thank you! I hope it's ok if I share this with my students......

omg! i have an exam on art education and this was sooooo helpful!
if you see this and you don't wanna watch the whole 20 minutes because you only have to take notes here's a tip; click the more button (the 3 dots below the video) and open the transcript Watching the video might make things easier to understand tho so if ya do something wrong then it's your fault-
I have come to the conclusion no one watches this for their own enjoyment and we were all forced 👍
Why is everyone here from online class?
funny and informative. nice combo!
nice examples
Excellent instruction.
Hey Jessica, as a student at a beginning art class, I was wondering... Should I give myself time to truly focus on learning 1 element of art at a time before learning the next? And should I also learn the elements of art one by one, and then focus on principals of art..? (Any experienced artist can answer this question.. I'm just genuinely confused on how I should learn these effectively as a beginner) 😅

POV: You scroll down to the comments section of the video to distract yourself from learning but all you can find are "POV" comments and none of them are funny.

wow jescia nice video
Im here because for ceramics, I got put in here but its complicated because the ceramics teacher would assume that I took fundamental arts even though I didn't. I have to do this worksheet and a quiz tomarrow.

Alright here Line Variation: Drippy lines, straight lines, curvy lines, think lines, thin lines, Contour lines: The lines that follow the outer object of a line, kind of like a outline Blind contour: drawing contour lines without looking at the paper, doing so really forces you to LOOK a what you're drawing Value: The relative lightness or darkness of something. (dark to light or light to dark) Colour: Seen by light reflecting off of an object. Hue: The name of the colour. Intensity: The dullness for brightness of the colour. Shallow space: There is not much depth in the art work. Objects are close together. Deep space: There is a lot of depth in the artwork. Positive space: The areas of focus, the important parts. Negative space: The areas around the area of focus. Background. Shape: Shapes are 2 dimensiona.l Form: Forms are 3 dimensional. Geometric: Mathematical lines, circles and spheres are the exception. Organic: Natural or freeform, with curvy/soft edges. Texture: How something looks/feels.
