    MITCH, can you give a bunch of examples of why would anyone want to use the "manual mode ranges" to measure DC resistances of what? I just can't think of what is the benefit or advantages of using the manual ranges modes? compared to using the auto range.

    As a rule, leaving your DMM in autorange mode is advisable. A quality meter will provide the best measurement possible. Mostly, I chose the manual settings to show what you may see if you have a DMM with only manual settings. There are plenty of those out there. Thanks for watching.
