    MITCH, can you give a bunch of examples of the advantages of using an Analog Meter to measure what?

    I prefer a DMM for most measurements, mainly because they present numerical values and require less interpretation. An analog meter (or analog bar graph feature on a DMM) may be helpful for picking up fluctuating current, voltage, or resistance values.

    @@takingmeasure try to make a lesson about what circuits or applications would cause the current or voltage or resistance to fluctuate. Intermittent Motors coil windings DC resistance measurements can fluctuate or an intermittent rheostat windings will fluctuate the voltage. Switching Power supplies voltages will fluctuate compared to a linear power supply.
