Praise the Lord for the internet and KZread. Through these, we adults are able to avail of instruction in our Catholic Faith. Catechism in childhood is necessary but not sufficient for spiritual growth. And praise the Lord for Fr. Alar and all other priests on the same mission as he.

I agree with you Twilla. Maybe I didn't pay attention at school or maybe they didn't teach us back then but this is the first time I've completely understood the mass. It has so much more meaning now. Thank you Father Chris 🙏🏻

@@brittanyle-bayron3725 Dear Sister in Christ, Fr Alar is currently taking time off to care for his Family. He occasionally still does Holy weekday Masses at the Shrine. In his absence, he is showing us past lectures/conferences/talks that he has done in the past. Today’s video - is one he did in the past, which was filmed in Palm Desert, California. He is not in California. Hopefully, this time off will allow him to spend time helping his Family & most importantly, spending quality time with them. Together we can continue to pray for him & his Family. Also, if you make it onto live chat - when the Saturday video is live- you can chat with him! And he is answering all questions during this precious 45 minutes that we have with him. I hope this helps 😊 and haha, I hope everything I said is correct! 😆

T LNG, I, too, share in what you say here. Thanks to Fr Chris, I now have the knowledge to speak up and contribute to discussions in my Bible study group.. So much so that I think I talk TOO much! My new-founded confidence has led me to facilitate two women’s Bible study groups of my own and they have become my passion. ! I could have never done this without Fr Chris and his “Explaining the Faith“ teachings. This man has changed my life.

This Catechesis is of great value to people who want to spread the Faith and live it in their life. I am enjoying this from the Philippines. We need more Holy priests and Christian witnesses today. We need more young Catholic couples who are willing to have more children and educate them from the best university which is their Christian home.

Thank you Father Chris for explaining the faith and Devine Mercy and the love God has for us, since listening to Seminars and Homily my Faith had increased and my appreciation for the Catholic Faith and Gods Mercy. God Bless you and your Seminaries who give up their laymen life to become Priest and give their life in serving others and especially spreading The Word of God and his mercy toward us alk we need to ask with sincerity and trust. I love that explanation of when we receive it is like the Bride coming to join her Groom who is Jesus in Communion and how the priest at that time represents by proxy Jesus offering the sacrifice to his Father and our Guardian Angels standing around the alter beside us. I 100 percent agree with your Dad. I went to school in Taylor County in Florida in the early 2000s and we actually had a rimfire range in our JROTC building. I was Capt of our rifle team and I'm qualified as a USCCA/NRA CCW Instructor. Guns aren't the issue. The issue is we have kids raised in a culture of death and they're being taught they're upright apes. They're searching so hard for meaning and being told by most of the authority figures in their lives that there is no meaning, that humanity has no dignity because there's no image of God. They've been taught that millions of children being slaughtered in their mother's wombs out of convenience is some sort of right. Our fathers and grandparents were capable of great violence but had greater moral tools to understand how and when to use it. Today's kids are being raised in a culture with no meaning outside of a material existence. If you've never done violence to your own will to be a better person, you'll believe it's okay to do violence to others so that you never have to. We've taught children to abhor masculinity and in the process created a generation of weak men with no moral purpose. Not only has God been banned in public schools, but men, REAL masculine men like our fathers and grandfathers have been shunned from those arenas too. Now, if a child is looking for purpose, said child might need some hormone blockers and to have their sexual organs removed because that's certainly more compassionate than telling them they were made in the image of God. I truly believe the US will have it's Victory Square in Warsaw moment where we cry out, "We want God! We want God!" Until then, the answer isn't more gun control, it's reclaiming the space that weak Christians gave up.
