The only question is : which god? Obviously the bible is a man-made book with man-made wisdom and man-made errors. The dangerous part is that those man-made errors are declared divine and by that reality shall adjust to those errors and not vice versa. Thats harmful as those errors touch topics liek astronomy, biology , evolution and homosexuality.

Thank you, Father Chris! It makes me sad that you keep getting rude letters when you’re one of the few that’s actually speaking the truth and teaching true Catholicism. We need more catholic priests like you!! We all love you and we will continue to pray for you! May God bless you and may our Blessed Mother protect you always! ❤️

@@DivineMercy_Official thanks for the support. I have been learning lot as I've changed parishes, although situation gets worse each time. Important to focus our love and thoughts on the Lord. Seek first the kingdom of God and all else will resolve - in heaven if not in this life. I have a Spiritual Director now and I'm going to be careful not to become too attached to people and places, but to focus on God.

My response “did you know she has the same blood type that Jesus had? “how did you ever know that?” Me:” I thought everybody knew that“. “Let me tell you….” BOOM Eucharistic Miracle talk on the way to them and I will see grand niece Lili Later today and I will be sure to send it to her as well . Nephew and his wife attend weekly theology study at their church in Greensboro, NC Where I will attend Mass later this morning. When I was a student at Boston College, I learned about different stories about Creation by different "gods" over the ages. It was SO fascinating. I've had no problem with believing in Creation by God, as being true Creation. I've also been taught at Boston College that evolution could have happened, but ONLY within each single creature, not from one specie into another. Thanks,Fr. Chris for teaching this for all listeners throughout the world hear the Truth - if they WANT to know the Truth.

Wow! This talk is like a very healthy soup for my soul! These are some answers I was looking for and I’m not writing this because I doubt my Catholic faith but because this strengthens it. Father Chris, your hands are like Jesus, who labored with love. Thank you for assembling this marvelous talk. It just suddenly dawned unto me, when Saint Thomas Aquinas had a mystical vision on December 1273, he said “After what I have experienced, all that is just as straw” while pointing to his books, is a humble statement from him that creation and God in itself is more than just our own understanding. St. Thomas probably was floored by the understanding God has endowed him at that moment. Excuse my English, i’m not native speaker and I hope what I said is understandable, but I can’t help writing, this talk made me so full spiritually. God bless you Father Chris! 🕊️

Father my comment isn’t about this video but rather an overall thank you. I left the faith, was an atheist and I have been back practicing fully this last year. Yesterday after mass I was excited to go talk to the priest to find out about bible study or if there were any classes to learn about my faith. I got a response of a big fat no and that I shouldn’t take my faith seriously .. I don’t have any spiritual friends, I also live in a small village in Ireland so it’s harder to just hop to another mass. His comment drained me, it did not make me doubt anything but it really broke my heart that as a young person who is truly seeking God and wants to learn so that I could go out make disciples would pretty much have a door shut in my face. I really hope that someday I can meet you, you are a joy and light to the world. I tell everyone about you, including my Muslim friends and praise be to God they come to Jesus and you’re the man for the job 😅😊 thank you for been my spiritual rock 🎉

It’s bullseye 🎯 as usual! Thank you Fr. Chris for a well- researched topic &excellent talk on Evolution. I remember I asked that this topic would hopefully be included in your catechetical talks. So grateful for your tackling & sorting this all out for us directly from your seminary background. I’ve always been interested to know what you have to say on this matter because I have a growing concern about younger generation turning into atheism simply because we parents are unable to help them understand Church’s teachings. My child is in Catholic HS, he looks up for you always, for anything, as a reference, says, “What do you think Fr. Chris would say about this?” 😁… Totally agree that Genesis is a theological reflection on the origins of Creation. Science is merely man's discovery of God's creation. Needless to say Fr Chris that you- yourself is “put in motion by God!” Happy Sunday!

Thank you Father Chris! I have 3 boys and my sister has 4 boys and I don’t think that was a coincidence. I feel that we are supposed to raise pious Catholic men. This talk and all of the other ones are helping in giving real answers to our kids as topics arise. Please pray for us, we need all the help we can get. I am a Catholic, a geologist, and a paleontologist. I have had to deal with creationists and atheists constantly in my life and honestly both sides are blind and wrong because they won't sit down with an open mind and compare notes. The Bible is correct in that the earth was created in 6 days, and the geologic timeline of billions of years is correct. How? Time is relative. Gravity distorts time, and time is relative to the point of view of the observer. Genesis is observing events from the point of view of someone on Earth, with the time scale from the origin of the universe. As space stretched from the "Big Bang" as it is called, time was distorted along that expanding universe. For an example of this in our modern times, the space time the satellite system you are using for your GPS unit on your cellphone is slightly different from the one on your watch with the one in space being ahead by fractions of a second. Likewise on a record the outer part of the record and the center of a record (or cd or other wheel) is making the same number of rotations, but because you now have a greater distance to travel in the same time the outer part of the disk is moving faster than the center. And as we know the universe is expanding due to the observed action of red shift between galaxies, time and space are warped on a massive scale. If you want a more detailed explanation on the geologic timeline and how it works with Genesis, feel free to reply because I already have a 9 page paper on it as a guideline for how it is the same story.

If you want links to the professor who worked out the math of how it was 6 days from the point of view of the Big Bang then let me know and I'll try to find his name again. Also in the text are links to geologic websites as one of the biggest problems with this video (beyond the fact that he attempts to throw out comparative vertebrate anatomy) is that geology is an even longer history than life on earth which we can measure.

@YAJUN YUAN My BS is in geology from Auburn University and I am a post-Bach at Montana State University in the Earth Science Paleontology curriculum. My education included graduate level work in ichnofossils, macroevolution, invertebrate and vertebrate paleontology, comparative vertebrate anatomy, dinosaur focused paleontology, and I do educational work primarily focused on the dinosaurs and other Mesozoic animals of Appalachia. Am I currently employed as a paleontologist...no, but in this economy you get by how you can.
