My budgie hates my grandma! He attacks her, he swoops on her, he shouts at her. She never hurt him and was always kind to him. He respects all others, and loves the closest family members, but not her. I always try to calm him down. I ask my grandma to give him apples when he sits on her. Sometimes it helps.

these birds have human-like emotions and react the same way as we do. my qp, jenday conure, and green-cheek conure all have different moods and personalities. when they get bratty it's time to go back to the birdroom with the door shut to chill out. that usually works. my guys are older now at 20,17 and 14 so old age has had some mellowing effect on them. they were a handful when they were younger as portrayed in this video.they have been with me since they were babies so we know each other well.thankfully they are all in good health and love to pick on me.

Obi Kinobi is an amazing name omg. I would none stop go “Hello there” in obi wan voice When you follow through the other video, theres other videos attached in more detail. Theres one about letting them out of the cage. The biggest thing is to be careful with your dogs as you dont know how they will act. I would advice keeping them in seperate rooms if your bird is out of their cage in the meantime once you get to that step ☺️

Why did he have a broken wing feather several times? For the trust you’ll have to start from scratch. Itll take time but its possible to get his trust back. @@zv8259 Firstly please dont touch anywher except the head. Especially because their back is their sexy spot and you'll make them hormonal. As for the hand, just because they fly to you doesnt mean they trust you. Sitting on a shoulder or arm is very different to the trust of having a giant hand near their tiny bodies. Quaker parrots just comes for Wrath ring of Hell ;) But seriously, Bruno started as a sweet, sweet baby who fell asleep in my arms, then he changed and I was almost afraid to look at him when he was on my shoulder because he was just making cute kissing noises at one moment then all of the sudden, BAM! Almost biting my eye off, can't count how many times he had bite my face very hard due to his puberty. I wasn't able to took him out of the cage through some days because he was flying to me and attacking. At age of around two years he calmed and now he is two and a half, he is calm, not as when he was a baby but he is no longer attacking me daily. Obviously, he is a quaker parrot, he bites and even sometimes attack my face but not as if he tries to kill me anymore ;) Although he, all of the sudden decided that he don't like my dad anymore, although he don't hate him, he no longer likes him as much as he used to. Other people? Well...that depends :D Also I've noticed that if Bruno wants to bathe he will be extra angry until I let him bathe. He was also nearly impossible to sit around for last few days, do you want to know why? i removed big pomelo plant from my room, since it is summer here and it is now outside and Bruno decided that I, his low servant didn't consult that big change with him, so he was screaming horribly for two days, he was, as I said, almost impossible to be around. Then he calmed after I bought a small fern and put it on my desk, near the place "his" pomelo tree was. They are more like people that people thinks they are :D So moody. And they love their things to be in their places.

@@mimisbirdhouse my changes seem to have worked out very well. He likes the new cage and he still has access to the old cage in the bathroom. The bathroom is actually the only place that Obi can get a good, quiet nights sleep. He stays in the living room with me on one of those gym/ perch playgrounds through the day. He goes from there to his new cage and interacts with me much more lovingly than before Also, I set an alarm that sounds like birds singing for Obi's bedtime. When he hears that, he flies to my head and says, " night, night obi," I take him to his bathroom cage , cover his cage, turn out the light and I don't hear a peep from him until morning. I know that you are against putting the cage in the bathroom but, in my tiny house, it has been very good for him. He seems much happier and he is bonding with me in a healthier way. I've learned so much from your videos and even though you had reservations about moving his cage, in my unusual case, it has worked out well. Your videos taught me what I had to do. @@mimisbirdhouse I forgot to explain removing his toys. When he was stuck in the living room in his old cage, he was being way too sexual with the toy that I removed. I learned from your video that his hormones were active and possibly causing his aggression. Since giving him the new cage with new toys in the living room and keeping the old cage with his old toys in the bathroom his hormonal behavior seems to have balanced out.
