This paradise starts in a small town of Kuala Besut, which is worth exploring itself. After taking a 40-minutes ride to the islands, I spent two full days staying at the Perhentian Kecil (Small Island), exploring its beaches, hiking trails, snorkeling spots (with turtles and sharks), and how locals live in a fisherman village of Kampung Pasir Hantu.

In 2026-2027 there will be semi-speed train station (ECRL train) not far from jetty-to-Perhentians. Locals & travellers directly from capital of Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) surely can utilise this mode of transportation.

Normally it's not yet a monsoon season so the long beach was pretty calm. But this year it seems like it came earlier maybe as the effect of typhoons in China or Philippines. Strong winds.

I hope tourism at perhentian island make repair the tower.. Tourist like to get there..

Yes, with a lot of construction going on there, I believe they will repair it and maintain infrastructure at decent level.
The staircase to the wind turbine was left to rot coz the bloody project failed. The wind was not strong enough to turn the fans !!! Wasted 12m ringgit there. Bloody hell.

please stop this narrative Malaysia is underrated.. that statement is false.. Malaysia is one of the most visited country after Thailand.. why do you people spread negative cliché.. its so annoying.. and humiliating for the Local.. makes us sound so cheap and second class..
