Rams vs 49ers really is underrated. 49ers dominated them in the 1990s, then in the early 2000s the Greatest Show on Turf Rams got their revenge. Now these teams in recent years are both competitive with their young coaches Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay, both represented the NFC in back to back years. Not to mention, just as a bonus fact: 4 years ago in 2017, in the very first matchup between the two head coaches, their TNF battle was actually the highesting scoring TNF game in NFL history, and it was a dual between Brian Hoyer and Jared Goff. Lmao

One of the most potent offenses ever. I heard that the 49ers at the time had one of the highest point differentials going into the 4th quarter that season. (Meaning the game was a blowout even before the 4th quarter started). A bunch of crazy stats like that.

All 3 Rams QBs started and won playoff games at some point in their careers.

Isaac Bruce, Todd Lyght and Keith Lyle suffered through some LEAN YEARS with the Rams before enjoying the fruits of that 1999 run.

Not as bad as Brady being given all the credit for the Patriots winning six Super Bowls when it was the great defenses, kicker, receivers, and most importantly offensive lines and blockers in general that carried Brady to six NE Lombardi's. It's not very hard to take three steps back, throw the ball ten feet and the receiver running 60+ yards after the catch. And let's not talk about him being the most lucky asswipe in the history of mankind.

Nice one my man. This was one of the rare games were Deion Sanders got smoked via Flipper Anderson. Rams made it tough, but 49ers battled back for the W in the end. Loved it. BTW, I know this rivalry has never been the cream of the crop, but the 49ers and Rams have been duking it out for so long, it should be held in higher regard.

The 9ers couldn't pay him what he was worth. He took like 1/2 a mil for one year then the Cowboys offered him $35 mil for 5 years.

49ers won the superbowl that season in 1994 cause I was in 8th grade. 49ers coulda easily had 7 or 8 superbowl wins from 1981 to 1998 but cowboys, giants and packers got in there way from winning a few nfc championship games in the 90's.

Is it underrated though? They have been in the same division since 1950's merger. Atlanta was moved, Saints were also moved but the only two teams that have stayed in the division are the 9ers and the Rams. I guess only more recent fans of the teams are the ones that are privy to it xD

I went to High school with Tommy Maddox’s son. Pretty good hockey player

The fact the Saints and Falcons were considered the "West" is absolutely ludacris, Dallas and Arizona should've been in that division instead
