it does look lovely with the white very much like parchment craft delicately beautiful 🩷
This is the first video I watched of you and I enjoyed just watching you color in an amazing swatch of tulips in a basket. I myself can't draw, but my mother paints in oils and is very good at it. My son is a very good drawer as well. He likes pencil the best. My mom when she was in high school drew Chuck Conners when he was on the riflemen, Bob Denver from Gilligan's Island, Tom Selleck of Magnum PI. She is now 82 years old and has slowed down on painting. Her apartment that she now rents is just filled with all kinds of designs of oils. She has even painted a few for me to hang in my house.
Yellow is my color too. I love yellow roses and white with the green crawling up
I received a 100 pack of Faber Castell soft pencils, special for dark surfaces... And a book of black paper! Your video I find just in time! Thank you!
I love Mt. Vernon and the fields going to La Conner. They are beautiful!
Love all the prints!!!
So beautiful!
These are all gorgeous!
Just beautiful as always
This reminds me a bit of grisaille painting technique, which the old masters used. Love how it came out! Something to add to my to do/try list! TFS
Totally gorgeous 💕

Sandy, thank you for this tutorial on colored paper. I have seen videos of artists using black paper and felt inspired but I haven't tried it yet. I may have to take baby steps and try these tones first. I love tulips and I have to say the one on green is my favorite 😍 💕 ❤️

Oh my how lovely, A quick dig into my husbands pay pall account, and I await the tulip baskets , its my 52nd wedding anniversary on the 12 April, hope I can do them justice. Never done anything on coloured card, so fingers crossed. I don't have prisma pencills, but have pollychromos hope they will be OK. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge , I miss teaching, as time has taken its toll , patch work was my love, but now colouring has taken over. Kind regards from England Marilyn Handley.

Hi Sandy. I do love color pencils but they seems to take more time to complete a project… but they are so fun to use
@SandyAllnock1
Жыл бұрын
Yes they are! But worth it. Can’t get these results with other mediums.
I find colored pencils to be beyond tedious but it might be fun to try this with oil pastel. I’ll try white conte crayon for the underpainting. Yellow is the bestest color. Don’t ask how many different yellow watercolor tubes I have-I don’t have every PY available so it clearly isn’t enough. 🌼🌻🍋💛💛💛

Just beautiful If I purchase these prints and they are PDF files that means I have to print on my inkjet printer which they would be black, I’m a bit confused or are you sending the physical papers with the prints on them sorry just want to be clear
@SandyAllnock1

The sketches are pretty light, so when you print the lines, they’re not really bold and you can cover them easily with pencil like I did.
Are these water color pencils, colored pencils, or 'pastels' pencils? These are beautiful

Sandy are you in WA? My SIL is from Maple Valley and he and my daughter used to live in Everett when they were first married. They would take a ride every year to see those tulips! Are these sketches a pdf file that we have to print out ourselves or do we actually get the papers printed out all ready to color?

I’m sorry you don’t enjoy it. My channel went flat for years while making cards, hardly 2 dozen subscribers a month. Now 600-800 are joining each month, so I’m going with this format so I can help more people with their art 😍
@user-xd5so5qh7j

I understand your point of view. However, have you abandoned card-making videos all together? I hope not. I always watched those videos - so, for people like us, who are not "artists" - the card making videos are the only videos of yours that we watch.
@SandyAllnock1
Жыл бұрын
@@user-xd5so5qh7j you don’t speak for all cardmakers - plenty still watch my other videos because they all contain so much teaching in them that can be applied to any art project including cards. A lot of them are tackling bigger projects too-and I want to help people grow, not leave us all where we are. Tomorrow is a card video, I make them now when inspired to do so, rather than trying to sell everyone stamps every month that they don’t need.

@SandyAllnock1
Жыл бұрын
@@elviamunguia8397 no worries- a lot of crafters have locked themselves into the “I’m not an artist“ mentality. The stamping industry teaches us that we can’t draw and we have to let somebody else do it *for* us. People have far more capacity to create than stamp companies give us credit for. and my mission is to help people find those skills within themselves instead of putting themselves down about their skills. 🥰
Here I'm kicking myself for throwing away all those useless white pencils over the many years
