Absolutely phenomenal dungeon ambience! Got a game set partly in the Paris Catacombs coming up, will definitely be using this to set the mood!

You descend into the hidden tomb, and immediately feel a shift in the atmosphere of your surroundings. Now the walls are smooth, worked stone, your rope tumbling down into the darkness from a high ceiling. At the edges of flickering torchlight, large statues of serpent-headed figures loom oppressively as you descend. The air here is stale and stagnant, and you get the sense that none have tread here in many, many years...

seriously... if it went down into some sort of extreme underground city sized vault ruins supposed to be untouched for thousands of years and found things like...makeshift wood bridges.. over collapsed walkways in mysteriously giant but at first glance.. empty.. halls... i start reconsider the venture since ,well... something made those makeshift things sort of 'recently' ....and there are very few reasons to make giant empty internal spaces.. not used for storage.. or work , where are those that made the makeshift bridges ? what was in this vault.. is it still here just , not sleeping anymore ?
