Under The Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers - By Jamie Harrison (Lesson in Description)
Музыка
Lesson Now Available here: bit.ly/3777fCo
The lesson includes videos on how to play this song, understanding this style of guitar playing, chords, lyrics, note for note instruction, my studio gear, my microphones, detailed info on my guitar and amp, my thoughts on tone, and tonnes more info.
Just me, my Strat, and a little bit of looping action. My cover of Under The Bridge, by the Chili Peppers, my favourite Chili Peppers song, and the most 'Hendrixy' or 'Straty-y' in terms of it's playing style of all their songs. I stayed true to the original recording for most of this, along with using the guitar for Kiedis' voice. Towards the end I used my looper to create something different as you will see.
Hope you enjoy :)

I bought Jamie's Slow Dancing Lesson about a month ago, I'm only up to the second solo, but holy shit has it ever changed my playing. I found the cover about a month ago and was just blown away by his performance. I remember telling myself I would learn it before my 2-year guitar playing anniversary (I've been playing for about 9 months). After reading a comment on that post and a plethora of others on the internet, I decided "Hell, I've spent $50cad on worse" and bought the lesson. Even after about half an hour, I got my money's worth. At first, it was incredibly difficult to follow along with all these new techniques and chord shapes, which I knew going in, as it seems most people that left reviews have had at least a year more experience than me, but I have almost no trouble following the lessons now! Jamie's break down of the song has not only shocked me at how attainable playing his cover is for someone with little experience like myself, but also at just how much cleaner, dynamic, and confident my playing has gotten. If anyone is on the fence about a lesson, please give at least one a chance! Even in a month, I honestly feel like I have improved tenfold. I can't stress this enough---Thank you Jamie!

100% agree man, investing on Jamie’s everything bundle has changed my playing more than I ever imagine. I can play the entire song bold as love and pretty decently I’ll be it and I’ve only been playing 2.5 months! Wouldn’t be here without Jamie for sure

@@LopSidedPopCan thankyou man! I appreciate it! I'll start posting some cover videos on the fb group once my recording stuff comes in within the next few months and I work on my camera shyness LOL. I'd love to be able to play Lenny within the next couple of months, it's a big goal but I like setting crazy expectations for myself. I can play the hook and melody for cliffs but not the pentatonic runs yet. If you're interested in learning EJ's style I've been learning from Troy Grady he's the man. Jamie is my go to teacher though (; good luck on finishing slow dancing keep up the good work man

And suddenly, just like that, life feels pretty alright again
Chris Buck and Jamie Harrison can get so much out of just one note. They can finesse the instrument like just about no one else.

Man the way you build this song up is just absolutely legendary. It’s the stuff guitar Gods are made of. Your understanding of dynamics, suspense, and tastefulness are what really set this cover apart.
Always a treat seeing a new Jamie Harrison video!
Incredible. Always thought the guitar on this song was super underrated, those chords with the hammer-ons playing over the calm lyrics always give me chills.
I knew this HAD to be coming, Frusciante’s one of the greatest out there carrying Jimi’s torch, this song being his masterpiece of that style. You’re the best Jamie, thank you for this!
Did you just John Mayer a John Frusciante? Nice job!

I’ve always been a rhcp fan, and as a guitarrist, Jamie did something magnificent, he master the Frusciante sound! Great job Jamie 👏
Unbelievable!! Doing Jamie’s lessons online and they are incredible!! Highly recommended 👊
And I’ve been practicing the intro for three weeks...like getting to my peak, looking over the mountain top and suddenly realizing the intro is the easiest part. So inspiring, those Hendrix/Frusciante chords with your finesse...just right! Bravo...
Seeing one of Jamie's videos pop up in your recommendations is always a sight for sore eyes. Love ya Jamie!
This gives me chills man! I'm going to close my eyes and soar through space now keep up the great work!!
And so in our darkest hour he returns
That Chris Buck like lick at the beginning was insane, awesome job as always!!
One of the greatest songs ever written, and by a 20 year old no less. This is the first “real” one I learned on guitar a few years ago and I still play it every couple weeks. In fact, most of the first songs I learned were RHCP because Frusciante is the one who inspired me to start playing in the first place. Somehow he seemed more relatable and tangible than other guitar heroes whose music I loved. I’ve been procrastinating on buying your lesson pack but this video finally convinced me to take the plunge. I’m sure you can teach me some new elements to this song and this is also a pretty cool take of your own. Has a bit of a Mayer influenced vibe added.
YES! Love this song! Keep going Jamie, love your covers!!!
Wow! I didn't realise before how mesmerizing this song's guitar line is. Perfect playing.
Men, I've never commented before, any u-tuber. You deserved. Great playing style, beutiful guitar and amazing "version". This is one of the best songs ever written. I've really loved since it came out almost 30 years ago. You are an incredible player. Keep doing this kind of videos.
Amazing as always. Every improvisation you add to the song just makes it better aswell

This is medicine to the ears. Lovely compossed cover. I love all of them 🤩
3:08 is my favourite part. 3 seconds of pure bliss. Sometimes the lyrics just take over the melody, should be the other way round. This has become my go to chill song. Thanks again🌸
My favorite guitarist. So much soul along with raw talent. Awesome
The tones you get and chords you play are perfect In every way.
As a guitar player I've to say that Jamie HG has one of the best performance I've ever seen (including famous artist). It's more than simple technique, It only can be understood watching him playing.
Jamie... we need more content! Keep pumping out these videos for us. Need to share that talent with the world
Strat + Jamie + Looper = INSANE
Another banger, esp after 2:55. Well done Jamie!! Really excellent in all aspects.
this is by far the most beautiful cover of under the brige, thank you man
