In the latest episode of the Audacy original podcast Inside Black & Gold, Saints sideline reporter Jeff Nowak and WWL sports director Steve Geller rank the Saints players facing the most pressure in the upcoming season, ranked 15-1, and what each needs to do to deliver on expectations. We also break down camp dates and more in today’s episode.

Why in the blue hell is the coaches personality so damn important to this childish fan base?!?! The excitement comes from the product and players on the field. A bullfrog could be the hc for all I care as long as the team is winning. DA should be judged on his performance not on if you would like to have a drink with him geez.

Why does everyone have to Be Mike McDaniel he’s Trynna Win Games not give people Clips and be Beloved by a city it’s really not that deep this again sadly stems from people’s obsession with how Drew And Sean were able to embrace The City why are we upset that another grown ass man isn’t funny all the time and doesn’t give huge motivational speeches it’s absolutely mind numbing is this what happens when people are just chronically online 24/7 Is He A Good person Is he Good to his Players is he winning That’s what he should be judged by anything else is just your own personal issues at this point

Poor Scouting and Poor Drafting ! Davenport, Turner , Ruiz , Penning , Foskey etc ! Bad Personnel Decisions Anzalone , Hendrickson , Byrd etc ! These are just a few examples of how bad the Decision Makers have been ! Good Teams build through the Draft 49ers , Steelers, Chiefs etc ! Other than the 2006 and 2017 we have been really bad in the Draft ! Two 1st Round Picks for Davenport ? A 1st Round Pick for Turner and Penning ! Because we got Lucky a few times with small school players we keep trying to find gems and consistently Fail ! When we did get Lucky it was with Mid Round Picks not 1st Round Picks ! Drafting Players and Investing in Free Agent Players with Injury History is also a Mistake we constantly make ! This is why we are always in Cap Hell ! Who’s Responsible ? If this Season doesn’t produce a Playoff Team it’s time for a Change !Whatever Plan they have isn’t Working ! It’s from Top to Bottom of the Organization ! Living in Mediocrity isn’t Acceptable Anymore ! Finding a GM and Head Coach should be on the Top of the List if this season goes Playoff-less again !

It’s a Travesty that So Cal Saints Fans can’t get to see Training Camp ! I’m a New Orleans Native and a Saints Fan since the beginning in 1967 ! I’ve been to practices here with the Chargers during Preseason and in Oxnard during the Season . Why not now ? The Saints will never have Training Camp so close to San Diego where I live again in my lifetime ! This is terrible ! It’s time to rebuild this Organization ! Poor Scouting and Drafting and Bad Personnel Decisions with Bad Contracts have derailed a Winning Team ! We’re stuck on Stupid ! 3 Seasons in a Row in a weak Division without a Playoff appearance is unacceptable ! Loomis has been in Charge way too long ! Too many underperforming and underachieving Teams during his regime ! We should have had more to show for Drew and Sean ! We should have had more Super Bowl appearances during that era ! I’m hoping for the Best but expecting the worst with this Organization ! I’ve seen some good Saints Teams over the years and I have seen some really bad ones unfortunately ! Unless this unproven Offensive Line steps up and the Running game doesn’t improve it’s going to be a Long Season ! DA is probably in his last year as HC ! There was no excuse for QB’s to Run all over us last season ! Mobile QB’s have been a problem that hasn’t been solved under this current Staff ! DA is a ok Defensive Coordinator but has not gotten it done as a Head Coach ! Winning Football begins in the Trenches ! Both sides of the Line have been Question Marks and they must improve for us to make the Playoffs ! If we have another season without a Playoff showing it’s time for change from top to bottom ! Keeping Saints Fans here from watching Training Camp is just inexcusable ! Every Team in the NFL has their Fans watching Training Camp ! This is just another bad decision by a bad Organization ! I’m a Saints Fan for Life but I’m disappointed yet again by this Staff !

Let’s be transparent about the player survey when you say the Saints gave a bad grade to head coach it was a B-. The Falcons head coach got a C+, Bucs head coach got a B-, Carolina head coach got a A-. I don’t think it’s a true gauge or accurate for instance the Dolphins and Vikings had A’s across the board like someone told the players to do it. Like when you’re giving someone a service review for your food delivery you give them a good rating so they don’t spit in your food next time.

@@richvitale3831 we did a whole episode on the grades when they came out and broke it all down. At the end of the day every grade is relative, but he got the lowest grade of any coach that wasn’t fired. I don’t think there’s a need to try to sugarcoat that.

@@richvitale3831 I don’t think that’s the takeaway because the lowest graded coaches will most often be the ones getting fired and be removed from the discussion. It’s different from, for example, the facility, which you’d keep but fix (IE the dining hall). The letter grade system is an issue here because you can’t go below the floor to say “this is what a failing grade would be.” Taking away the letter grade and just considering it as a two-digit number (relative to coaching peers) is the most fair context, in my opinion.

It's stupid to ask how can their poll show he's the least liked when you say 55% don't even know who the coach is. Nowak, you're no brain surgeon are you? I'll explain. Out of the 45% that knew who the head coach was, those people gave an average of 5 out of 10 rating. SMH

Truly bizarre that our comments sections are filled with whining apologists supporting the mediocrity of Carr and Allen. These people or bots try to bully the Who Dat Nation with claims that honest, critique means we're not actual fans. Where did all this garbage come from? Maybe it's just carrbage. I cannot think of ONE team that is okay with their team sucking for YEARS. If this continues, when Allen and Carr and finally recycled, there may not be a Saints Franchise...
