Mary Hopkin's singing is pure gold
Thank you so very much for posting this. Many sea worthy moments here. Mary Hopkin's singing with Captain Cats is the most achingly beautiful music that I know--and those words, those words.
Wonderful performance of Mary Hopkin, as always. A genius touch of George Martin, as always. Dylan Thomas would be proud to see his work so well revisited. All Llareggub is happy!
Smashing. I first heard Milk Wood in an Old Vic dressing room, when Richard Burton's first version (his best) was aired by the BBC. Richard, Claire Bloom, Michael Hordern and Fay Compton headed the company. My first job...!
My heart aches this was my wonderful friend and mine favourite everything for so many years and tomorrow I say goodbye to him in a small service, however before that we are driving through New Quay. I am watching this and looking over New Quay the real under Milk Wood village
Even though the is humor in this, it brings tears to my eyes.i just listened to Caitlin talking of their lives and Dylan's Romantic, death wish...how I wish I had a time machine to be able to sit near him in a pub, reciting a poem...Namaste RIP DEAR DYLAN...

I have the original BBC recording with Richard Burton narrating. Utterly glorious.

@AMT There are websites to do things like that. Just spell it turning one letter right-way-up at a time. There are a few words the the YT bot doesn't like in simple text - this is one of them, Ɉʜϱiɿ llɒ. As for the chuckling, try a glass of water - thrown at a wall.

Richard Burton and welsh cast, a definitive production. Cannot be bettered. Tony Hopkins voice sounds tired and hoarse.
