Re the cooker, I would highly recommend sitting it on some concrete pavers or similar - you really want to limit the possibility of fire damaging the wooden floor or catching the structure on fire.

Thanks for your update, it’s great having the back of the kitchen counter top open to the forest wall, it would be great to incorporate a herb garden at counter top level along with full length of that back wall. Fresh parsley and the mint varieties would do extremely well.

Registration is mandatory, every year for every child (even portuguese). We don’t see the point either, should only do it when you change school but we are very creative with our bureaucracy 😂

Good morning from Scotland. Back in the 1930’s/1940’s my mum’s job at home was to “black lead” the built in wood stove every day. It was like a black polish for metal. Protected it from cooking splashes too, a lot of work. When we moved into an old farm cottage there was a built in wood stove in it. I spent hours using the same technique to “bring it back” but it looked amazing. I would love to have a Rayburn as we call them, again.

So. Perhaps a trim or removal of all brush behind stove area as ur temps already soooo hot there, as an added fire prevention. And or another metal heat shield in back. Can u get sheet rock there used for restaurant walls? Green rock. Or at least a double layer of rock behind it.. of course only as high as your stove top. We live in mountains in USA NY and have had to fire/heat proof many type stoves! It is however a stunning addition!!! The outdoor kitchen is amazing. Carry on!

LOVE the old stove, gorgeous colour & so in keeping with the outdoor kitchen, there are restorers around you just have to find them, probably find some KZread restorers as well; sometimes local stove manufacturers will restore old stoves too; we have a couple here in Australia as many people have gone off grid & wood stoves are in demand, even very old rusty shells. the bottom compartment is usually used as a plate /food warmer if there are no overhead shelves on the unit, the middle 'draw' under the wood grill , i think is the vent, keep it open while burning? had one similar but it wasn't a draw, it was a circular vent that you turned, anyway am sure you will have fun researching your type of stove. ooo i love blackberries & they are wonderful in pies & crumbles; have you put in another vegetable garden yet? i think you should do a raised bed going out from the outdoor kitchen, nice long narrow ones so as not to take the views away, that way then you'll have vegies & herbs right where they're needed; loved those wooden shelves under the benches, such character! thoroughly enjoyed this video & look forward to seeing what else gets done thanx for sharing

Oh I love that cooker! Such a simple idea to heat water with the heat from cooking. Even if it’s just enough to do the washing up. When did that idea get lost? It needs to come back and some new coolers should integrate that idea again. I love that you made an apple and blackberry crumble. We have a caravan and when we go away we have a tradition of making an apple and blackberry crumble. My absolute fave! Hope you are all having the best time in school hols 👌🏼👊🏼

Oh my, this is becoming such a luxurious outdoor kitchen! Well done Badger!! (Well except for the black spray paint 😂😂😂). With the roof, you may have already done it or maybe you don't need it, but you can add a bit of sealant on your screws and it will keep the roof nice and water tight. But it looks oh so good. Great idea with the clear roofing too. That will make such a difference overtime! Well I don't believe you for being a "not"- carpenter, because your skills are amazing to be honest. As for thecfrmikinevtouches, I Love the "shelves" and the curtains, the cushions and the decoration. Looking forward to the final reveal next week!!! You must appreciate all the extra added spaces you have been creating. It all looks oh so lovely. Have a great week, and thank you for sharing what you guys do. It's so inspiring :)

I wonder if one of those pizza/bread ovens would be better. Saw one that uses pellets.
