that P71 - P71 race was great. Love how you pulled through at the very end with that weight advantage. So close, side by side till the very end. Had me laughing.

The races ended in second gear lol. Would like to see 1/4 mile next!

I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it, but I have to say that the black spokes in the Marauder grill looks phenomenal!

Not being rude but you got stock vehicle vs a non stock come on. The Marauder really should have a supercharger 400 horsepower cuz I feel like 300 really wasn't enough p71 Crown Vic made 250 and the Grand Marquis and town car made 235 with the just single exhaust

I feel like 300 for the vic, 350 for the Marader, 250-275 for civ cars all stock would've been better.

Both are cool. The Marauder wasn't intended as a drag car. It was intended as a well rounded daily driver with spirited performance and a little attitude. At which it succeeded beautifully. Crown Victoria interceptors are cool because, well they are interceptors!

that was a lot of fun! I think the weight reduction makes a huge difference

Weight was everything. Doesn't matter how little you spend if the know how to gut it and tune it. Wouldn't be surprised if the marauder is heavier than stock. Looks customized for shows not racing.

His marauder might not be running right if it’s not tuned but I still say the police interceptor is very dependable and fast car to have just depends on what you have done to it , the white crown Vic isn’t stock it has bolt ons and weight reduction

Once I get my gearing done, "I'll beat the reaper all day long in my Grand Marquis"... The Marauder was a big disappointment...

This Marauder is a pile of sh*t! The so called 'business' he bought it from "Taxi Pro Parts" is about the biggest hacks in the industry. Go check out his introduction video on the Marauder on his channel. So many things wrong with it! I almost think its a clone I want to see a picture of the vin, I would not be surprised if it is. Besides Mr. Random for the last Nine years have shit talked the Marauder, and I quote one of his own video "piston detonation issues, head gasket leaks and intake manifold gasket issues". These are all made up issues I've been deeply involved in the Marauder community for 8 years now and I've never seen or heard any of these issues. This guy wants the Marauder to fail look at the horrendous reaction time...

I thought the same thing. I wonder how my 07 P71 with 4.10 gears would do in comparison. No cats and off brand flowmasters. Otherwise it is stock. I've been contemplating a K&N drop in filter and the "pink cup" mod.

Show me a bone stock p71 that can gap a bone stock Marauder and I'll show you a Marauder that isn't running right. PS once you remove 500 pounds worth of interior components you can no longer call the car stock.

I love a 1996 and a 2000 crown vic loved the ride and could still get 28 mpg cruising 70-80 on the interstate.

I need a front end for my 2007 Crown Vic Police Interseptor. I hit a deer 🦌 😡 I want a guard put on the front and a paint job like my man's.

The smaller diameter tires on the CV make a huge difference. Supercharge them both Kenne Bell, T56 them both, and 4.10 rear gear them both.. Whoop!

I think it's going to be close. Although the marauder does have a duel over head cam 32 valve v8, while the p71 has 16 valve v8 which does matter for performance. Although this crown vic is lighter then that marauder

Great video brother. I've always wondered how a mildly modded Police interceptor would do against a Marauder. Truthfully though, it not about all that. The Marauder has prestige. Yours is bad ass.

I'm not surprised. A lot of it is gearing. I went from 2.73 and steel driveshaft to 3.55 and alum driveshaft and there is a HUGE difference in how it gets off of the line

Not surprised by the results, it's estimated a 7 lb reduction equals one HP. Nice Merc.

Okay so I'm going to give you props for taking a risk but a grabber blue Mercury Marauder? But I will admit since the majority of Marauders are black it is a bit tedious. One thing for sure you probably won't see another MM that color. PS an cool photo op would be nose to nose with a grabber blue Boss Mustang.

I think the marauder would leave them in a roll race. I don't know why their take off is so horrible

The 4v 4.6 sucked at low end torque compared to the 2v. I remember reading about people talking about it on the forums many years ago

I did this exact swap in my 99 Mustang GT. There’s no comparison between the 2V and 4V In my case same exact car and drivetrain other than the engine itself. All numbers on DynoJet so no silly roller weight input to fudge with dyno numbers like Mustang and other loading dynos 4.6 2V - Custom tune, JLT w/ 90mm MAF housing, LTs with full 2.5” OR exhaust, Bullitt intake manifold with twin 57 TB, UDP - 254 rwhp / 283 rwtq It later Made 281 rwhp with VT Engines Stage 2 N/A cams Swapped to a 2005 Aviator engine, added ported Mach 1 intake intake (same lower as Marauder), 7/8 lid spaced, 2001 Cobra intake cams (not degreed), 1-5/8” x 3” LTs (kept same 2.5” catback), stock Aviator crank pulley with Cobra R alt pulley, JLT with 90mm MAF housing -353 rwhp / 353 rwtq The 4V even made ~280 rwtq by like 2200 rpm which is about what the 2V made at peak up over 4000 rpm. The 4V smoked the 2V at every point in the power band, even down low. Zero comparison, similarly modded and at similar weight the Marauder will drive out of the 2V Crown Vics life Hard to screw it up when the 4V head outflows the PI by about 100 cfm at peak, even more at low lifts, has a much better chamber design, much better valve angles and it has more compression. Stock 99-04 GT make like 220 rwhp, stock Machs were often making close to 290 rwhp and they responded better to mods. What was like a 70 rwhp gap stock for stock often ended up closer to 100 rwhp once both got basic basic bolt ons.

Marauders I believe were all 3.73, CVPI's came in 3.27, 3.55, and 3.73 gears. I heard 4.10s but i have never seen them come stock

Driving the SES light starts blinking, It Biggs down then clears up. I do have the P71 ECU swap. No change putting the factory back in. HELP please but on messenger

I told everyone... I told you GF... The crown vic is the KING.... Little to nothing to add a few more HP and look at it go. I had a heated debate with another youtuber months ago. He was talking about the marauder being the holy grail...best pather very and bla blah blah..... How can it be the best one ever when at least 80% of the car is a crown vic LX? Random my P71 doesn’t start when I put gas ⛽️, only when I put gas but once it gets started it’s fine starts up great (only when I get gas )

ooof it’s news to me that 7.5 0 to 60 is fast lol I drove a 6500lb 6.7 powerstroke that did 0-60 in 6.5 seconds with a tune

@@hanzgrueber145 "fast" for what a low compression (9:5.1) fleet vehicle 4.6L v8 that Ford used to profit 📈 hugely out of vs the Coyote after 2011 when they finally put decent internals in it, 4v n higher compression.. Your 6.7L is most likely turbo n although heavy still pretty fast for what it is.. I'll be modding my lil 2v with TrickFlow heads n cams if you care to follow my build but I'm sure to at least be 2 seconds faster after that.. 😬

marauders do have more power but its also heavier with a much heaver motor as well. The marauders were overrated to be honest. i would like to have one but ill keep my grand marquis over getting one.
