So I got to try the deck in an actual tournament yesterday for the first time (went 1-1-1, 0-2 shine 2-0 armour rush 1-1 beelz) and from research afterwards I learned a bunch of bizarre (but somewhat logical) rulings around Koh and Sayo that I think should be included in a video like this, since they're important to know to play the deck to its full potential imo. Not sure if you knew them and they just weren't mentioned here, but figured an explanation could be useful for others who find this vid. Will reference the relevant bits of the comprehensive rules as well. You can use Koh and Sayo's effect on a level 3 with just an egg beneath, if you use that to digivolve on a different digimon your egg stack dies by game mechanics, but as it turns out, that deletion is part of a "rules check" (11-3-3) which occurs only between effect activations (11-3-1), and even though Koh and Sayo specifies you can only digivolve on a digimon, 3-5-2 confirms that the egg keeps being treated as one. So, you can use Koh and Sayo to cycle a 3 back into a 2 and evo to a 3 in your hand to get a second rookie inherit in the stack. Additionally, if you do this and have Gurimon as your egg, this will trigger a draw even though the inherit was technically inactive when the card was placed into sources (since gurimon became the one at the top of the stack when the rookie was placed into sources) since it's active again by the time activations are checked, when koh and sayo's effect is finished resolving. In terms of applications for this, it comes up frequently when you need an extra memory over an extra search. Every rookie inherit represents +1 memory once you can get up to 5s to cycle (4 -> 5 gain 2, spend 1 to get back to 5), but it's +0 when cycling 4s, so you'd rather use Kou and Sayo for the necessary pre-5 cycle that gets you to 3 sources. In a "standard" opening of coronamon on sunmon + kou and sayo (which seems to be the main alternative to lunamon + 4, I've been liking it more after getting proper games) while not using this ruling, you wind up choking the opponent to 1 when playing a mega* (start at 4 mem, spend 2 to get to a 4, kou and sayo to turn into another 4, trigger sunmon and you now have 3 sources so going to a 5 costs 0, use rookie inherit to go back to a 4 with 4 memory up, spend 1 to go to a 5, then 4 to pass turn and blitz apollo them with 3 sources or something), but if you gain 1 more memory, you instead wind up at 0. So you can slam another red tamer to cycle back to a dianamon to apply board control, or you could play a blue tamer for setup (and you can do this before using the second rookie inherit you have in this scenario, meaning you get to activate it the same turn, so you pass your opponent to 4 using the mega instead of 3 if you play it at the end), and if you already have 1 more tamer of either colour in play, playing the other tamer gives you gracenova, though obviously unlike the prior combo this isn't possible turn 1. And you might not want to do this early, it depends on how badly you want to drop the ending dianamon, not only because of the reduced searching but because (unless you're ending with an ADR searcher slam) you're not choking them to 1 here, which I feel is quite valuable. Also, unless I missed it, I don't think you actually mentioned the fact that you can use kou and sayo's effect to digivolve on a digimon other than the one that you cycled back a level? I hope I'm wrong and you did say it and I just missed it, because again, think it's a key play for newer players to keep in mind. I don't think any of these rulings/quirks change the build of the deck at all (rowdy slightly less critical maybe? but you still badly want the draw) but they do change and/or add to the combos. Also I hate to say it but you miscounted at 15:04, double-counted one of the sources, you were at "only" 8 so "only" 3 checks (I love that the deck is absurd enough that even the slightly worse outcome is still an incredible swing). Anyways, this is a great video, it was your build that I played, I just figured I'd add to it to help proliferate knowledge further. Hopefully you get many more undefeated runs! *having a lunamon with no bounce instead of corona and/or a gurimon instead of sunmon then each of those loses you a memory, but even worst-case scenario where both of those align, you still pass the opponent to 3 memory, and nothing about the combo fails to work, you never pass turn, since in the above combo you never go below 2 memory.

My locals has been teching in 1-of Blue Card. Paying 3 memory to go into a mega is always better than paying 4, especially if it keeps turn and allows you to go into GraceNovamon next turn. And out of security, it's basically an extra Koh to stun board

I like this list, got some interesting spice to it. Might take out the Searchers to add a couple Crimson Blaze since a lot of my local decks are play by effects.

Nightclaw tamer says same level that’s on the field, so if you have a lv7 and a 6 you can play a 6 from under the 7 and potentially dna

Opinion on gennai as a deep dig to secure lvl4s and tamers? Can also come up with pushing out the breeding into the zudo since youre running it

I like the idea, but the zudo is a 1 of requiring you to build lekis in the back which might be one of the top 1 saddest evos 😭 I think tamers are also just hella slow

Man, you truly got me with this decklist, really really nice! However i feel like 4 and 4 level 6 might be too much, even if it's only for not mulligan on first turn, you might want consider having 2 extra slots for something to overcome one of the decks problem, i might consider using "A delicate plan" or using some "Phoebus Blow" but with the first one you overcome most of the option matchups, like beelze, commandramon, metaletemon, but mostly Leviamon let me know what you think!

the 4/6 is necessary since you go through so many of them imo But space for ADP could be interesting, just gotta find the time to use the extra 1 memory in the combo, it'd also be a 1 of that you'd have to draw into so it's harder to line up. Phoebus I think has real merit and is the one change I'm going to see if I can find space for atm I think at minimum you need 7 level 6s

Quick comment for you, the background music was a little bit too loud for me. Plus, it had vocals, so I found it hard to focus on what you were saying. Just letting you know! Great video otherwise, and I love your techs for the GraceNova deck

@@christopherbennett5858 also possible although it'd turn off sunmon and your 5s xD I've seen people use the Bt11 Biyomon as their other level 3 because it searches red vaccines, which is your light fangs, and a red tamer, so good enough I guess

@@KnTElixar Actually, much like Cutemon, Gaossmon only reduces your opponent’s digivolution reductions, not yours. Biyomon is a nice option,

Meanwhile I played Dusk and not Dawn, and prefer Sayo over Koh. Also I find the design of Koh awkward. That said, I'm running 3 each. Though my build is Graceless, with Alter-S, Alter-B and Merciful Mode instead of Gracenova. No Ukko's, but the Searcher's are a nice tech.

My brother played Dusk so it still has a special place in my heart I do think in general there are better Level 7s than GNM and I may eventually switch off it (or double down and get alts LMAO)

I’m a bit concerned about the digieggs, gurimon it’s a great idea but you take some huge risk. You can evolve gurimon into coronamon but not lunamon. Want to know how many times i did it actually happened to you. Great vid.

no worries man, you're not the only one that thought it didn't evolve on red haahahah the whole line evolves red/blue but then also has the black text bar to allow for future support (like the yellow agu) :D Hope that helps with your play

I'd imagine I'll be limiting the white cards to swap in agumon And probably adjust the options ratio and go 3/3 on tamers to find space for gaogamon Haven't tested it yet but it makes sense in my head to do it that way When bt16 drops you best believe I'll be back with a new list for this and armour 👁️

Just to let you know, a rule update made it so that if GraceNovamon can protect itself from multiple instances of being deleted at the same time It can just give up the material again to protect itself again. So, if GracNovamon is the only one on the field and Leviamon trices to delete it twice, GraceNovamon can protect itself twice.

Can you dedigivolve at will?

Sorta Once per turn on the level 3 inherit And by suspending the red tamer you can degenerate to evolve any stack without cost

then boom apollo dies to one bomb in the first check
