I used to hate Deadmau5. His early work was mostly factory preset arpeggiators and spaced out transitions. I could buy a keyboard and use the factory preset patterns myself. Then I realized he was just getting to know his way around his equipment. His later work is fantastic as he figured out how to arrange things. Niice mix I bookmarked it.

Definitely, he was somewhat a pioneer in the industry, so even if his really early stuff is simple by today’s standards, he was helping pave the road. But funny enough he was also aware of the simplicity and released ironic tunes like “this is the hook” that essentially poke fun at the genre. As time went on he gained a love for experimenting with sounds, and alongside that he developed a skill for composition. We’re left with some pretty beautiful stuff from him today!

old12school3 I recommend digital wave studio’s “KZreadto MP3 converter”. Once you have the app, you simply drag the URL of your KZread video in, and boom, it converts to an MP3 for you. I use it all the time. Free too
