Akashi's ankle breaker - after Iverson, every all-star guards (and sometimes forwards) have this skill in their bag Midorima's long range 3 - Lillard, Curry, heck even LeBron can shoot from the logo Midorima never misses - well if you are just standing and waiting for a pass, u wont really miss.. but have u ever seen Midorima shoot a 3 off the dribble like Steph and Lillard? do u ever see Midorima running around screens and coming off a curl like Ray Allen and Kyle Korver? HE DOESNT. u know why? these 7 Japanese prodigies almost lost to 5 visiting American high schoolers.. that already tells a lot about the skill difference between GOM and NBA and dont say that the GOM got nerfed in the movie.. u can be a god in Europe or Asia but once u play against NBA defense u will always get nerfed or worse, be made to look like a scrub same thing vice versa.. u maybe a scrub in the NBA but can become a god somewhere else.. see Stephon Marbury, Yi Jianlian and Lance Stephenson in China

Having large hands is one thing, but you'd have to spend a lot of effort training your grip strength to pull off Kiyoshi's moves. Kiyoshi would be amazing at rock-climbing, even with his knee injury.

With wins even against some NBA players *in universe.* Their main lore include 1) Never facing someone with an Emperor Eye before Akashi, making him unique. 2) Never or rarely dealing with Zone Caliber players. Nash could identify Zone, but no one else on the Team was aware of it. 3) They have never been down going into the 2nd Quarter, despite facing NBA Players before. The GOMs were the only team to have a lead after the first quarter. When scaled to IRL NBA Teams, they'd easily be able to hold their own. Nash and Silver are very likely going to be the 2 Best players in any given game, regardless of competition.

I love Teppei, he’s such an adorable himbo. Out of the Uncrowned Kings, Hanamiya actually interested me the most. Cause of his dirty playing, part of me really wanted to see him go head to head with Aomine and Kise, cause Kise would just mimic him but Aomine wouldn’t mind getting down and dirty either. But Kise was my favourite of the GOM, his skill set is unbelievable. I was very impressed with Kise by his game against Aomine.

Hanamiya's high IQ plays aren't really special. It definitely won't work against players who don't get pissed off easily, and it can be avoided by not going into circumstances where Hanamiya or his teammates may do something dirty inside the court. When those two conditions are met, Spider's Web is essentially useless. 100% steal is also nothing extraordinary, as it can be pulled off by any team who studies their opponents thoroughly beforehand. In fact, their battle against Seirin wasn't really anything super difficult. Seirin's biggest enemy in that game was their emotion against their opponents regarding what happened last year on the same tournament, and not really against the players' skills. In fact, they don't even seem anything threatened by Hanamiya, which is a huge disappointment for someone that's touted to be an Uncrowned King. Anyway I'm just ranting here now, but regardless of his bad attitude, Hanamiya is still nothing special of a player and doesn't really deserve to be considered an Uncrowned King IMO. Someone like Kasamatsu or Himuro is much better fit in his place.

@@Anonymous-td9fl he doesn't phase through anything, and Hayama's full power dribbling is very dangerous, in fact only Kagami in the Zone managed to block him, Izuki needed Kuroko and Kagami's help to stop him. It was not even explained well in the anime, unlike in the manga, but his dribbling is very similar to Kiyoshi's ability. Following the body is pointless because as he start moving before he moves the ball, if you follow his body he can still change direction but if you don't follow his body movement he already got past you.

After testing it out the way it works is by dribling using the muscles on the fingers individually, besides the arm, it is good to take players off guard, but you cant just dribble it on place so much as they did on KNB, you should probably do 1 or 2 on place, and then do the drive, and as in knb, because you are hitting the ball harder against the floor, it can slip, or take linger for your arm or hand to let it fall into place before doing another move, well, that last part is if you want to do it "smoothly"

@@MrLiau12345 Nebuya is just physical 'bully ball' like Shaq O'neal or Zach Randell, (tho Shaq had a decent baby hook), Kiyoshi... on the other hand... feels more like a PF who can't decide between a SF or Center skillset... shades of Dennis Rodman, Chris Webber, Jokic, given his ability to pass and shoot for a big man, I'm surprised he doesn't play more like a Carmelo Anthony or Jokic... operating out of a mid post triple threat, allowing Kagami/Shinji to back cut... or at least operating out of the 'short corner' like Hakeem 'The Dream' or Chris Webber... allowing Kagami to play at the opposite elbow, and their Sharp Shooter or Jack of all Trades to space/cut on his side

@@curtishonts7802 Calling Shaq a bully ball center is a disservice to Shaq. He was much more than that. Extremely skilled, was a decent passer, great post moves. He would bully everyone in the post but there was more to his game than that. And besides, Nebuya is nowhere as dominant as Shaq. Murasakibara is a more apt comparison for Shaq. Kiyoshi is definitely similar to Jokic or maybe Chris Webber.

@@MrLiau12345 Lets put it this way he was a skilled passer for a big, early in his career he was mostly an atheltic finisher/rim runner, lobs, and ditch passes, than he started to get a low post skillset with a few spins/up and unders, but as he got bigger, and older, he abandoned alot of that (most of the time) because he figured out he could be efficient and dominating with only two real moves, the inside drop step (which people gave him crap for because of his elbows being at face height) and his turn outside baby hook, everything else was preformed around those two moves, but most of the time all he had to do was agressively back a defender under the rim, turn and dunk right ontop of them, no disrespect to the man himself, he could of certainly showcased a more skill based array of moves, but he didn't need much to be successful, it's also how his defense was on the other side, he was an elite rim protector because of his size, and vertical, there are better skill based defenders out there, but size and height is a natural advantage

I love Teppei. He's the heart and soul of Seirin

I think void is just reading your opponents movements. Where you know he is expecting you to drive, then you suddenly shoot it. That's when the "can't move" happens

For me kiyoshi teppei is the best player in knb, not because he's my favorite character. To be honest, I became more interested in the show after he showed up. He's talented, real and more relatable than the GOM.

Kiyoshi could be easily the best one from the uncrowned kings, even with serious injuries he's a great player now him bieng 100% healthy, such a monster on the court

Kiyoshi was still one of my favorite character in kuroko no basket next to daiki. He's called ironheart for a reason. Love him on the seirin vs yosen game.

their the shadow of the generation of miracles. kiyoshi teppei - specializes as center playmaker in post plays and he is very strong kotaro - doesn't miss on layups, he also dribbles fast enough that the eye can't keep up mibuchi leo - possess different types of 3 point jump shots, void is when his opponent can't react, heaven is when his opponent can't reach him, and earth lets him create four point plays hanamiya - a dirty but skilled player, if weren't for his behavior he still would have shut down the teams he injured nebuya - he puts muscles in his all around plays

This theory would potentially make sense. Now theoretically speaking, development comparison between the two factions; The Generation of Miracles bloomed early in middle school whereas the Uncrowned Kings bloomed very late by first year of High school. Its stated that the Crownless Generals were overshadowed by GOM because their abilities weren’t as efficient as the latter. Now think about it, If the Uncrowned Kings(let’s assume that they are in one team for now) were the only team that could rival and take on the GOM and at least put on a match with them unlike other teams like they faced in middle school; then the UK could have been as good as the GOM if they bloomed at the same as them because then they would have the same amounts of time as the GOM to develop their skills and attributes to the game. If someone like Hanamiya who is the only UK in Kirsaki Daichi and probably the only good player in the team that uses dirty tactics but also gave them a fight against Seirin for prevailing the game. Or like when Hayama took on Kagami and would probably give a run for his money. And when Nebuya is one of the two characters in the franchise capable of breaking the backboard which even astonished Murasakibara. They technically would have been part of the Generation of Miracles. Also, it has been stated that the Uncrowned Kings were overshadowed by Generation of Miracles because their ‘individual’ skill was overshadowed by the ‘Collective’ might and skill of the Teiko(GOM). The keyword ‘Collective’ refers to something which is grouped or together as ONE. Keep in mind, since the UK were in opposite teams leaving the never-once-to-be-in-a-team to be overshadowed by the skill of GOM. This is also another crucial point that suggest that the UK = GOM

agreed.. and if only that happened, the original teiko(GOM) would have a rival team that they could compete with. they wouldnt feel bored or too proud of their skills and would continue to hone themselves. those two teams would have formed a rivalry that would positively impact them to push each other to grow further. also, introduce someone with a very high perception that could push kuroko's skills to the limit and let the base misdirection grow further. then comedically, if kuroko vanishes like a ghost, then the counter character might be someone that is too sensitive to paranormal stuffs 🤣

It's so amazing that they all can think fast. Imagine being up in the air and still able to complete a sentence in your mind without going down. Jeez.

I forgot how this show took regular basketball shit and made it 1000x more complicated than it ever needed be…..i love it 🤣

I would say Hanamiya shares some similarities with CP3. Floor general who can score and plays dirty. Mibuchi is like Reggie Miller, with the 4 point plays. Midorima is a better fit as Klay.

Not gonna lie Kiyoshi's grip is more superhuman than I thought cuz he's still able to grip the ball so hard even with sweat on his hands.

The rainbow generation: can shoot from anywhere, copy any move instantly, see the future, etc Kiyoshi: have big ol hands

Kiyoshi known for unpredictable movements Hanamiya for dirty and brain play

I experienced Void before, the guy I was guarding is smaller than me, hence, I lowered my stance more than usual, I was still able to contest the shot/jump, a little late but still enough to shake him and miss the shot.

I also experienced that one time, when I'm reading the moves my friend what will he do that, I don't lower my knee. And because of that he does a jump shot that I stuck on my place because I didn't have enough power to jump. I just watch him while he's on the air.

I wish the Uncrowned Kings had more screen time or moments together. Like showing us them playing together in middle school.

And it's not even the unpredictableness, I think it's Imoyoshi who says something like, "Even if you _can_ predict it, there's no point since he can just change his mind at a moments notice."

Hanamiya probably can get to generation of miracle level if he didnt play that dirty

"Muscle series" had me weak 😂

Their abilities are way more believable and doable in real life than the abilities of generation of miracles

Kiyoshi is is so skilled he's a modern NBA Bigman who can play stretch just like AD and Jokic can play pointguard,passing skills,proficient in post, can shoot 3s and midrange, probably better than Mura in terms of skill but not physically

Yes kiyoshi is my personal favorite

I’m just disappointed that they never put the uncrowned Kings in one team I wished they used the uncrowned King in the movie instead of that random team against the Jabberwock or what you call that foreign team

Kise can actually copy all their techniques and trait without putting using much stamina unlike when he copy Generation of Miracles. Imagine Kise can use Vice Claw, Teardrop Shot, 3 types of Reo 3 pointer, and Kotatou fast dribble

@nabil rashif Kise never copied murasakibara strenght nor any trait of him, he copied Thor’s hammer but not the same strength and his defensive range wasn’t copied either, he was imitating it by using his speed, intuition and jumping prowess, but it he faces murasakibara he gets destroyed in raw strength. It was already explained that he never copied perfectly any trait of the GoM but he was using other trait copied to fill the gap he lacked to use them with his body. Vice claw can be used only if you have big hands, otherwise the grip will never be enough to keep the ball that way, that’s exactly why murasakibara and Kiyoshi can use vice claw but he can’t

Mibuchi is really the best three pointer if Midorima doesn't exsit.His heaven earth and void techniques are so unique

I get that most of their skill sets combined would make for a balanced team, but defensively the uncrowned kings are two combo guards, a stretch 4, and two 5s.

It's amazing how they can talk so fast.

This is maybe out of topic, but there's one more reason why Kise is the Top 2 best player in Vorpal Sword squad. He can copy the Uncrowned Kings skills as much as he want

No he can't, there's unconditional skill like palm, muscle, big brain and fast dribble that even GoM itself cannot has

This anime gets a lot of flak for being over the top but you got to admit the author is really creative with how he expounded "possible" abilities in basketball

I know himuro isnt an uncrowned king but i tried the mirage shot and surprisingly did it

What's funny is that Spider's Web is kinda like the quasi-Emperor Eye Kuroko possesses, except it's only usable in defense to poach passes off.

They just sugar coated normal players with "Uncrowned Kings". Seirin's teamwork is good tho

Remember Seirin had one gom class and one uncrowned king Rakuzan had one gom and 3 uncrowned kings and a better kuroko And somehow seirin beat them

Remember, the GoM considered kuroko an equal, so there’s no chance the other dude was better than kuroko, he just lost his ability as he had been too flashy the past few games, eventually getting it back

@@DryWallEater1874 ye mayuzumi simply was an average player with misdirection while kuroko had a natural “lac of presence “ but even if kuroko was better as a phantom player than mayuzumi, mayuzumi was still way more useful thru the duration of the game Kuroko cost them points with his misses, while mayuzumi fully functioned for 20 mins with no issues, and also acted as overflow for Akashi

@@sanjaykrishna2953 the thing is mayzumi is a player who is mostly an all rounder who is talented in playmaking, meaning he’s more useful for the way rakuzan played, whereas kuroko is simply one of the greatest passers in the world of the anime, meaning his shot creation is more useful for seirin, who can all score

Why are people in comments comparing this to real life? Like if you want something realistic then go watch the actually nba. Those people are the type to watch dbz and say they dont like it cause its unrealistic.

All I ask for is one game where the NBA commentators make up ridiculous names for the moves of the players and do an over-the-top live commentary with frequent shocked gasps.

I think it would be interesting if Uncrowned Kings ( Kiyoshi Teppei (Center), Makoto Hanamiya (Point Guard), Reo Mibuchi (Shooting Guard), Kotaro Hayama (Small Forwars), and Ekichi Nebuya (Power Forward) ) VS Kosuke Wakamatsu (Center), Kazunari Takao (Point Guard), Hyuga Junpei (Shooting Guard), Tatsuya Himuro (Small Forward), and Nijimura Shuzo (Power Forward)

im still confused to this day why they didnt recruot the uncrowned kings as subs instead of hyuga and that other rando. i mean for the last game the movie. ik they didnt play regardless but still.
