When I think about the fact that the first Lamborghini Countach LP400 in the 70s costs only a little over the equivalent of 60,000 €/$ and you could also buy three of them at once, it is more than surprising at what astronomical prices cars can be sold today. An original Mercedes-Benz gullwing could be bought at the beginning of the eighties for 15,000 € to restore it.

You are not taking inflation in account. 60K in the 70s is not 60k in 2020, at all. It's 450k nowadays and this is a super limited edition with very new technology on board.
