My chain is from Johnny dang. I’m still very happy with it. Even if they are si or vs type of diamonds. They’re still really nice. I got them tested and they are natural. It’s good to know they are natural.

Don't underestimate the cut grade. Color has no impact on light performance (plus well-cut diamonds face up whiter anyways) and the grade of inclusions has diminishing importance above the si1 level. It takes significant time to ensure the cut grade is a1 because it encompasses other factors like a strict threshold for symmetry and polish. What you're paying for when you spec for vvs on stones under 4mm is the diamond cutter's attention to detail and motivation to slow down their total production to make sure that the tolerances for the cut are consistently high. All in all, the real vvs melees might range anywhere from si1 to vvs2 but they should have ideal light performance thanks to their cut so that every facet lights up and you don't wind up with a stone that only throws brilliance and fire from one side of the diamond. Cut is king, especially for small stones.

That's clarity, only one of the four C's. So you could have a VVS diamond and an SI diamond and the SI one could "look" better.

This is true I bought a lot of small vvs diamonds then I bought a lot of small si diamonds and the si looked much better than the vvs smh at that size no one is taking time to check 10,000 stones to see if it's truly si or vvs ..big stones are different

so in summary: VVS & Si1 diamonds look identical to the naked eye, but jewelers will sell you Si1 and say it’s VVS because they look identical? & what rapper is going to do any research.

If your jeweler is claiming to sell you vvs diamonds an it cost less than $1000 per ct than their not vvs. It's just that simple. True vvs cost $700 or more per ct (depending on color) If your jeweler says he can sell you vvs for $500 per ct ITS A LIE. True vvs cost more than that from the diamond dealers. Jewelers still have to put a mark up to get profit.

Great question, SI is the category which has “Slight Inclusions” Si 1 and Si 2 or the sub categories that tell us how much inclusions it has. si 1 being the better of the two.

I had Daniels jewelry make me a Miami Cuban ring and they put VS and SI diamonds on it. So I was just curious about the SI and the VS diamonds.
