Are there any issues of flooding in the area? With the potential increase in increasing flooding in coastal regions across the world. Rising sea levels, changes in precipitation, and increased storm surges and erosion rates are increasing the vulnerability to flooding.

Hey Will…we were there in Sept and that machine was ripping mangroves out…road to SB. The sign said “Mangrove Restoration.” ?? Are they filling in all that water to develop homes? It was hard to see, in Mahoganey Bay as well as mangroves are critically important for ecosystems and to combat global warming. We understand that development involves harming lands, but what was going on up there? Is this done responsibly and what environmental entity oversees all this in Belize? Just curious… thanks!

Hey Will, I am looking to invest either in Belize or Panama RE something under 300K. My requirement for the place that it should be clear water with good free diving, spearfishing opportunities, it should be easy to rent on AirBnb and at the same time to live there. I would say it should be 2-3 brs. I also wonder what is the taxation (both RE and income taxes) in Belize and if you can get citizenship/permanent residency by investment. Thanks, Denys.

Build quality looks really good on those homes, so I have to ask where are you getting the quality contractors from, because I've watched the number of other videos about Belize and they complain about how horrendous the quality of the workers are.

Really depends on which part of Belize we've had lots of experience with contractors who do a good job and those who don't. Can't guarantee anyone but happy to make some recommendations!

I'm curious as to whether the Belize market will become over saturated with investment properties and not enough tourists. Large hotels with more accomodations and amenities may pose a challenge for small BNB'S.

We are going to put a video together on this. Short version is it is a win win. If the market and island develops out to where you have a tremendous amount of high end development properties values will increase like you would find in the Cayman Islands for example. Seems like the elevated homes wouldn’t fair well in tropical storms/hurricanes. ? We thought concrete was the way to go.
