I was wondering if the petrified wood with blue running through it could be opal? Montana does have Opals. Beautiful rocks in your state!! Some of the prettiest I have seen in a while.

It's so nice that your boys are so interested at a young age. My kids had to grow into rockhounding. I've decided I like the jasper, agates and petrified wood the best in blues and greens and. . . never leave a fossil behind. 🕵‍♀

I really love that song too!!! I keep watching the intro over and over, I love it! I think this was one of my best ever collecting adventures - makes me excited for what I'll find after the spring floods rinse off and move all the gravels around!

I like the way you find a rock that looks pretty normal, spray it with water and it turns into something amazing. Those were some good finds.

You would make so much bank selling these on Amazon. People always buy stones that have no quality or authenticity, what you find are things people look for. I know you have stuff on eBay but you could whole sale in bulk. I am so jealous! If ever I am that way I would love to rock hound. I’m in Washington so I go different places but oh my goodness what a rock buffet
