Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) test of soil || Pawan Kumar Chamling
Ғылым және технология
Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) test gives the maximum axial compressive stress of cylindrical soil sample at zero confining stress. The test can only be carried out on cohesive soil, as it is impossible to carry out the test on cohesionless soil. Soil that lacks cohesiveness cannot stand on its own. Soil that lacks cohesion cannot stand on its own. As a result, the UCS test cannot be performed.

It will be better if you are telling us a required countaty as digit number, how many grams and how to calculate the OMC and so on
Great work guys. Keep going and add more geotech experiments

Thank you! Will do!
Can u pls tell me practical application of this test ...as we already have triaxial test & direct shear test....
What is particle size of this soil?
Next grain size distribution of soil

Great work. Excuse me, I need to buy the mini Compaction Test Apparatus that you prepare the sample inside it. Could you give me the website or way to buy it.
What is that RAMMER called? Unable to find it in market

This is a Mini Compaction Test Apparatus ... you can find the details here ... www.researchgate.net/publication/239409466_Mini_Compaction_Test_Apparatus_for_Fine_Grained_Soils

In this video, it is of 5 kN capacity... but depending on your type of soil.. you can increase the capacity... say for stabilized soil sample you should use higher capacity (10 kN)
Sir please mention this procedure code
