Unclogging Lake Drain After A Ton Of Rain
"I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, Unclog anything or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training". I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have Been Trained In culvert inspections for years with private co) osha trained,
:Exploring Abandoned Anything can be dangerous or Deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any Abandoned structure. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal and when possible, i seek out permission from the owner or local police. This culvert clearly has digestive problems 🤣. Fortunately, Doctor Post 10 is nearby! just kidding, love this video 👍 interesting and informative as we are used to! Thanks.

Just another beautiful area where you live. So fortunate you are. The river was so nice with the water passing over the rocks and the lake so nice with the mountain and farmers house in the background. The culvert with the belching water. Have not seen the before. Definitely only saw the optical illusion on the water grate in the lake. So pretty in the Autumn. Thank you again Post. ♥️

The beavers left that board there when they were surveying for their new dam! LOL :D
In my opinion, water is one of the prettiest substances ever. And you fixing these issues makes your videos doubly satisfying.

Your knowledge of fluid-hydrodynamics is impressive. And what a beautiful mountain with the low clouds in the distance. Water is meant to be free and when it is because of something you did it's so...satisfying. Keep up the good work.
I love how clear the water is over there , and all the gold colours , it’s gorgeous x
This man is living his best life. I'm so envious.

Definitely appreciated the workspace cleanup segment. It makes the task feel that much more... complete. Thanks for taking the time to do that.
That clear water...the river, the lake....and that fog on the mountain ...😍 Oh my! So beautiful! And of course, a nice culvert cleaning. Perfection😊

I love how the river flows over the rocks contrasted with the calm of the lake and then the way the water is going through the drain. Beautiful!
Hi Post 10 you do a great job unclogging the drains, culverts and all. It’s a beautiful lake
This was the highlight of my day "cool!"@ the burping culvert
Love this kind of drain ever since the old lake drain. I think that was the one that got me addicted to draining. Lol. Glad you don't stand in the middle anyway. Thank you for the videos.👍👍
I love the sound of running water, and this is so peaceful, and his enthusiasm for all of this is uplifting! Maybe that's why I have 3 huge fish tanks in my home, in the middle of a giant desert!
The culvert pipe "burping" reminded me of a street drain video you did about 2 years ago when the culvert was at capacity as well. Great videos Post, great work, epic scenery on this one. Thank you.
A burping culvert. Damn, that's funny. Never heard that before. I'd like to see this location in the spring Postie. Wonder what they will do. Such a scenic river scene. Lovely. Thanks for sharing and stay safe.
while the drain itself looks about the right size to maintain normal operation for handling the water level. when they finally go to replace the damaged exit pipe they should consider increasing the size of the pipe slightly. so it can handle any surplus water during heavy rain storms or from the freeze/thaw cycles so it causes less of an issue later on.
@LoveShaysloco

About to say that when go to replace put in a bigger pipe/upgrade depending on place. This one bigger pipe but for others upgrade
@Havlock
2 жыл бұрын
Yep, yep! Was gonna say that too. And it also doesn't rely on a check valve on the inlet that somebody has to come out and open and close. Just make sure the outlet is bigger than the inlet and there ya go! Oh, and that the inlet is up high enough to maintain lake level.

Absolutely love the before and after shots, great job again POST 10!!
I agree with you about the cheapest option. Love the torrent of water.💚💚

ever since i watch your video unclogging roads i can't stop watching it now i love your videos keep it up you're such an inspiration to us
Thank you for bringing us this very interesting and informative video, it is very impressive to see the lake drain. The culvert was certainly working hard and the sounds were very interesting. You are right to say that there is a lot of work to be done hereabouts to prevent much more serious problems in the future. One would hope that the authorities would realise that the status quo cannot continue.
Pretty area. Loved the discharge 'burping'. Another great adventure for us to enjoy - thank you Post10.
It is so beautiful where you live, and you get so much rain! I grew up in So Cal and now currently living in Phoenix. It just doesn't rain like that here. Where your are is so green and pretty. That house on that lake was so happily situated.
You g man you area gem! You are so knowledgeable about beavers and culverts! Thank You for your vids and your enthusiasm! Stay safe!!!

Best video yet, perfect balance of commentary, fact's and footage. Beautiful spot.
Beavers are off the hook today.
Nice job post. You are a real conservationist. Remind me of Lem Merril in the Adirondack mountains in the 40’s and 50’s
Interesting idea for a channel. His enthusiasm...I'm learning about things I never thought I'd be interested in. Well thought out entertainment.

Awesome! Thanks for taking us along.
That storm was nuts! Hanging at a buddy's place when suddenly my car on the street is in 4" of water. All the street drains got plugged by leaves, went out in my work boots and cleared them up. Probably the only time getting completely soaked with rain felt so good ☺️ street was clear within the quarter hour.
I never thought watching this could be so interesting. I’m bloody addicted to it 😂. I keep searching your channel for the biggest clogs 🤣
Mr. Post, you should put a camera in the beaver lodge and see what they do when they are in there.

13:32 very nice image of this beautiful lake with the drain in center, clouds and pine tree mirroring on the water surface. Very beautiful!
That's a good analogy of the lake drain and inflow water system. Great video Post 10.

The view of the lake and surrounding scenery is beautiful! Thank you for sharing’
I believe that stick is a story pole. They are used by surveyors. That one appears to be a “home maid” version.
Thanks for education of water. And keeping drains clear. Great video as always 👍👍👍
I wonder if our wonderful OG Lake Drain ever got unclogged...
THAT 1X4 LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING WE WOULD USE WHEN SHOOTING ELEVATION WITH A TRANSIT. I DID RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION FOR YEARS. CUSTOM HOMES IN CASHIERS NC. NOW ITS ALL LASERS & MUCH EASIER. GRRRRRR8 VIDEEEEEO BOSS
A clear culvert is a thing of beauty. So cool watching it!
Such beautiful scenery! I bet the water was freezing! Great video!
Fantastic as ever. Love the scenery.
Your state is beautiful. Thanks for a great video.
Beautiful place, thanks Post. Greetings from the (grey) UK.
3:40 culvert sounds like a slow revving marine diesel spitting out cooling water. Very cool 😎
I wish I got as excited about ANYTHING as much as he gets excited about water flowing through a tube in the ground.
When I saw "lake drain", I thought it was going to be the other lake drain where beavers filled the drainage pit with debris. Oh well.

As someone who lives in maine, thank you 🙏 love your videos

Does this lake have an emergency overflow? It looked like it was ready to top over the embankment and erode it away Or would it just drain out the inlet if it got too full?
@post.10
2 жыл бұрын
The inlet structure where it's pulling the water from the river is significantly higher elevation and it would definitely top this dam first and wash it out
@1johanverhasselt
2 жыл бұрын
They better replaced the discharge pipe with a concrete overflow. If its 3 meters wide it will never block again and can handle a storm flow.
A much as love all your videos, I pray you find happiness other than the drains. Life's too short, my friend ❤
stunning video , you do a fantastic job my friend keep it up .
I love this place, such beauty. I would be happy to sit there all day and watch/ listen to that water, just love the science of it.
My dog sounds like that sometimes. Means there will be a cleanup event coming soon. Great video! That area is beautiful.
The water flow, when removing the debris is so soothing

Beautiful scenery and thanks for unclogging.
Thank you post 10 from England x
Anyone can unclog a drain but what separates post from other people is his knowledge for all this stuff like how water flows and different types of culverts. Plus being at war with beavers helps!
Great video once again post 10.Thank you 👍🏻
