Agreed. Nate is completely vulnerable in some parts of the game, so they should at least take that into consideration to nerf the damage in Brutal when it comes to that part. I mean Hard is challenging, Crushing is a bit unfair but still doable with memorizing enemy pattern and pure patience, but Brutal is just unfair and unbalanced at the same time.

They did properly develop, and that difficulty is called "hard" Once you get the mechanics even Crushing is doable. Brutal...yeah, it's a real challenge allright... Luck, patience and memory is what's needed to get through.

1:11 - 1:45 the combination of the absolute definition of insanity, the death music playing again before the last time it played fully stopping, and the commentary the enemies give each time they kill Nate had me in tears.

I feel your pain! I'm about 3/4 way through on brutal - and it may well put me off gaming for life! Definitely a contender for most unfair gaming experience of my life.

YO 2:40 happened to me multiple times got pretty damn mad. Had to quit out and reload then it worked its a glitch where the game doesn't register that everyone is dead so annoying.

Brutal mode is broken. Plain and simple. I'm convinced Bluepoint literally just changed some values, slapped it in the game, teasing players with the lure of 100% completion, and didn't playtest it at all. All three games have a bullshit moment that shouldn't fucking be the way it is on Brutal (the container at the end of Drake's Fortune, the Train in Among Thieves, running away from Talbot's men towards the end of the Syria chapter in Drake's Deception).

Agreed, I too am 100% convinced they never actually tested it. There's no way they would be okay with the parts where you literally die before you can do anything about it, requiring luck just to eventually get past.

I just completed this game on brutal with hundreds of deaths. I love how challenging it is but the death spawns are just stupid. Pretty much just have to get lucky.

Nate essentially becomes a normal human being.

And I thought Crushing was bullshit. This is almost as bad as CODs "Realistic" difficulty.

In cod black ops 3 in the campaign mode, that’s the hardest difficulty where you die in one shot

I was playing Uncharted 2 Remastered Brutal mode on PS4 and I was on the train section when my game crashed, after reloading the game, it said my game data was corrupted and that it needs to be deleted. I lost everything. Safe to say I won't pick that game back up for a very very long time.

Tsawodi Uncharted 2 does this to stop you skipping through the levels. It was not in the first one. Always get caught out on the snow part with the derailed trains thinking I cleared everyone out.

Totally agree. I like to attempt “no death” runs on games that I play at some point. But when the game doesn’t play fair, it’s ridiculous.

I hate it when Devs just buff enemies and nerf your health. That is complete bs and I hate it! Every dev should take a look at Re7 Madhouse and how it changes how enemies act and it takes actual skill to complete. Here is just luck, if you are going to survive spawn trapping or not

I get mad if it takes me several attempts to get through an area on regular difficulty. This shit is gonna put me in an asylum

I beat this game on Brutal…and let me just tell you. It practically COMPLETELY ruined my love playing this game… I barely even want to TOUCH this game because of what Brutal did to me. I just really wanted to golden guns and Eddy’s Golden Desert Eagle. They locked them all behind this bullshit mode as a way of saying: “See what happens when you don’t preorder games?! You did this to yourself!”

wow days ago I went back to uncharted, I can't believe I got uncharted 2 in brutal, the truth is I laughed when I finished it, not even jokingly I did the 3 and the 1 too, it would be suffering too much XD

I think what would’ve slightly balanced Brutal out would’ve been to let Nate also have the ability to kill enemies with one or two hits. That way it’s on slightly equal footing. But also you see why the developers only made this mode optional if you want the trophy? (Beating this mode is NOT REQUIRED to get the Platinum Trophy) Which meant even THEY thought Brutal was bullshit.

its because the game thinks that the player is falling for too long so it triggers a death, it though that nate fell off like something really high or something
