To be fair, the first X-Force run was actually a pretty good series once Liefeld left(he only stayed on for 12 issues or so) and Nicieza took over.

Great review. You really nailed it. I agree, the story is probably the best thing Marvel did with the X-Men since House of M... Great story, I am tired of big crossovers, and that's exactly what I was looking for. However, the art on some issues was pretty weak. The issues drawn by Jerome were just tremendous.

I have the omnibus, I managed to pick it up when it was first going OOP. I have flipped through it. But as I have a lot of omnibuses I've bought recently, I haven't had the chance to thoroughly go through it or read it. But at first glance it seems like it doesn't have any fabrication problems. I didn't know there were problems, hopefully I don't stumble on some! Great review, you make me want to drop everything I'm reading and start reading this!

Thanks for notifying what's going on with the omnibus. I have no problems with the collected tpb. Just as long as I get complete stories at a decent price. I am going to order this series. I've heard uncanny avengers brings up certain story elements. Very excited for uncanny avengers omnibus.

I'd recommend the regular hardcovers or ultimate collections as well. Picked up the omnibus when it was first released and I've noticed no printing errors with it BUT I do have a binding issue with mines where the top part of the ribbon came of the signatures. Doesn't mess with the reading experience but I could see it becoming a major problem if someone were to read it several more times. Plus the price is ridiculous. I feel like the Marvel omnibus line has taking a hit since 2014 honestly. Overly loose binding, thin pages, and ridiculous price to page ratio(Uncanny Avengers: 650 pages for $100?!?) I'm actually a bit curious on what your stance is on that. Cause pretty much every other company is cranking better quality collections are better prices than Marvel and I think it's something that needs to be brought to light by collectors like us.

What defects did you hear about the omnibus? Although its really expensive on Amazon I was thinking of getting it as I really want the omnibus version so bad.

Thanks for February im trying to decide between uncanny avengers omnibus or absolute green arrow by Kevin smith both are the same price point n I'm having a hard time finding reviews of Kevin smith green arrow who are not Kevin smith fanboys who love everything his does regardless of its good or bad cuz his writing is a lil up n down for me

I've read this in the ultimate collection edition...I've had no problem with it..except that a while it gets a little bit tough to hold it..but other than that...this run is outstanding in every aspect..the art is Amazing..the characters are interesting and the writing with the story were really engaging!

one of the best comic series. if they do form a team of uncanny xforce, they should make it exactly as the comic set it up as. that way, we can see the alternate AOA characters 👍

I'm curious what exactly seems to be the problem with the omnibus? At first glance I can't find anything online about these supposed printing problems? FYI: I own the omnibus and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, except of course for it being an exceptional good read with (for the most part) amazing art! :)

born2beblue what I've been reading online is that there are binding problems with the binding coming apart and one of the commenters on this thread have said the ribbon actually came off his book.

Hardcover Reviews I pulled out my copy to check, and yes, there actually does seem to be a minor concern with the binding. Never noticed it before but there's like a thin layer of cardboard covering - what I think is - the actual ribbon which seems to loosen a little. Not sure though if this could get problematic but I'll surely keep an eye on it during future readings... Thanks for the heads-up!

Thinking bout buying geoff johns teen titans omnibus can you tell me how the binding is on that book if u got it

Sorry for the late reply man. I don't like to give a fair shake of a binding untill I've read the book once and had time to mess with it. Really sorry I couldn't be any more help. :(

So they just came out with uncanny avengers omnibus would you recomend that? And does it continue where this story left off?

adam cantrell Uncanny Avengers is in many ways the sequel to his X-Force run. It continues to deal with the fallout of some of the actions in X-Force. The first few issues though are not that great in my opinion. It does pick up steam after but I don't think it ever really reaches the high points of Uncanny X-Force. However if you really want to keep reading about some of the consequences from these events I'd say its a solid pick up.

No that’s just a small story arc

I agree 100% Otherworld was bad. The art was kinda "Muddy"

I understand where you're coming from there, having just read it myself I didn't understand all the hype around it. I think it's a great concept and it was an entertaining read just not an absolute essential in fact no where near it.
