Some of my best memories with my family has been watching the Tar Heels

one of the best teams in college bball history! no joke! look at unc from top to bottom. studs all over. if marshall didnt hurt his wrist, guaranteed national championship.

Scott Worley he came to life when Roy finally realized Larry drew sucked royal ass balls and sent Marshall in. It’s amazing how much one change can make or break a player but yeah fuck Creighton

Any game that Carolina wins is good

I remember our sub let us watch the last few minutes of this game during school. Little 5th grade me and my friends were going nuts.

I remember watching that game - one of the best finishes ever if you are heels fan.

10:03. Classic Roy. Images that define Carolina basketball are Phil Ford signaling for four corners, MJ hitting the shot against Georgetown, Montross' bloody face against Duke, Stackhouse dunking in Cameron, and Roy Williams screaming his team on for a defensive stop.

Officials did not call a balanced game in the 2016 title game. They were so biased towards Villanova. 2012 would've been a Final Four for sure if Marshall hadn't gotten hurt.

@@PastorJimmyParker 100% agreement. Kendall getting injured was for me the only reason they didn't make it. He was really playing at a high level. His shooting especially the 3 ball improved so much and his passing was always on point. That offense ran like a well oiled machine with him at point.

This was a game that you get chill bumps as a UNC fan....everytime we got the rebound down the stretch you felt it happening

Nothing beats the Roy squat and the come on.

I remember this game very well. Life was so different back then. I miss the ACC when it was like this. I wholeheartedly wish that the conference tournament was still like this. Sadly it’s kind-of gone the wayside especially with Greensboro but it’s coming there this year so we will see how exciting it will be..

@@HS32153 Plus, it was right after “The Price Is Right” on CBS after lunch after being let out after school instead of on ESPN2. Also, teachers still had the TVs on wheels kind-of.

A once in a lifetime year for Miami. As good as they were, this UNC team would have still destroyed them. Miami will never have a year like they did this year in a long time, if ever again.

I actually started out watching this game at Chili's and left at the end of the first half because Carolina was so far down--I continued listening on the radio and for in my house with about 2 minutes left---the win would have been so much sweeter with an ice cold beer on tap--lol

Why do the coaches of the other teams always try to dis Roy during the hand shake after Carolina beats them? They don't do that to Mike Kushewski. I've seen many do it some times try to keep walking as he holds his hand out to shake.

Miami should not have won, they didn't deserve it they made so many mistakes in the last quarter of the game. Neither teams deserved to win, but UNC just came up on top when the final buzzer horned.

This was not the best year for Carolina.

Not one of my better Carolina teams. Got our butt handed to us by Kentucky that year in the tourney. And beat by dukee in acc tourney. Ugh
