I used two of the previsious universal series with no complain, but these build quality not like previsious ones, it feels cheaper, and no option to lift your phone up and down if you have thicker smartphone, only without silicon case. Quiet disapointing for 36 pound.

So you cannot turn the phone OFF /ON while it is in the case , , so when you stop on the bike you have to go through all that to take the phone out of the case to turn it ON OR OFF ?????.

Hi Charles, you can operate the touch screen through the case and with an iPhone go to Settings, Gerneral, scroll down and 'shut down'. Similar for an Android. Job done without taking out the case, if you really want to turn it off...

Hi, i have a Note 10. Have the XL case. While riding the transparent screen reflects quit a lot. Depending on the suns angle sometimes 50 percent of your screen is not very viseble cause of that. Also the transparant screen makes it impossible for me to use the touchscreen of my phone. You allways have to try it without the gloves. Gloves makes the top of your touchpoint way to large. And impossible to use the screen at all. My phone allready has problems with that only using a protection screen. Then i need to adjust that in the settings. If you have a phone that is waterproof by itself then go for a case or holder that does not use a plastic transparant overlay. I can get angry very easily. If a mouse stutters f.e then i could potentionally bash the damned thing. I know this is a shortcoming of myself. But the urge is simply overwhelming for myself not to do atleast something that is harmfull. 🙈 When after spending a little more then 100.00 Euro's and i get these kind of problems. O boy, i could get ashamed of myself. A possibility that i even could start jumping on it while it still holds my phone.😪🙏 But then again. I can also easily become overjoyed when something is simply working as i wanted it to do. I am not all bad.🙈 But if you are like me ? And i get that vibe of you. DO NOT FUCKING BUY THIS CASE !!! Btw, i nice narrow boat. Lived in something similiar for more then 20 years. Probably a 50 larger ship. Mine was used until 1898 to transport potatoes. The casco i mean with that. I had to sell it. Thought that it was a wise decision. But it was one of the worsed ones in my entire life. Really need to go back living on the water. That is something that you can miss so much that it feels like a baby who is missing its arm.

There is a terrible thing wrong with it. Although for the rest it is a decent case. If you phone is not to thick for it. Cause there is not much room for a slightly thicker phone. Everything will be bent while you force it. But the rotten problem is the heat. Wanted to use it on a large trip. Not for navigation cause i use a Zumo for that. But for certain motorcycle apps. Like finding a campspot. Calimoto and Ioverlander. And offcourse the TET app. So ok, that is navigation. Also wanted to use the phone for some music streaming. I have a Note 10 with 512 Gb and an 256 Gb sd-card. Also take along a 10 inch external portable monitor for using Dex. Call me stupid but i place that external monitor on my tankbag. And with that i have a large and detailed view of maps. It is also a toughscreen so that is something that is incredible helpfull. Cause you can easily pinch and zoom. Also scroll the map. Powered by 12 volt instead of the internal battery to keep it as bright as possible. It works great. But due to the tight fit in this case and the internal sillicone the phone gets overheated very quickly. And it stops functioning to protect itself. Below 15 degrees celsius the problem is not there. But he' , we want to ride into the sun and not to a dark and cold place. Also you need to minimalise certain thing on your phone like notifications that you have to click "ok" for. Cause then you have to stop constantly. It is quite impossible to push on the screen. Maybe if you tape a pen onto one of your fingers. It is a case that you have to start up the app that you want to use while riding. Carefully place it in the holder so you do not activate something on your screen. Then place it on the holder. Sometimes i have to do that several times. All of this makes using your phone quite a hassle. It learned me for once and all that when you have not a external touchscreen monitor attached to your phone that you need a phoneholder that enables your phone to work while placed in it. Otherwise it becomes a big hassle. While riding you can not even accept a phonecall by touching the screen directly. Don't get me wrong. The case does a very good job in protecting your phone. But i also need something where i can enable or start a function within an app. Maybe with the specific case for your phone you can use the buttons of your phone ? It is my fifth tryout for a phonecase for the bike. But i need a sixth.

Yes, we've found that works very well if your phone hasn't already got a screensaver on it, or the 'double skinning' of the screen makes it a little more difficult if that makes sense

Are you able to charging port? I think you can but I am unsure that is why I am asking. I bought last year but rain can get through the port and there is not cap or anything that closes the port.

There is a cap where the charging port is. We charged ours as you can see in the video. You can see the cap too if you look closely. We wouldn't recommend charging whilst it's raining on the bike as rain will get in to the phone. That said, if the phone is waterproof, which the iphone SE is, we would risk it if we really needed to.

Nice video but it would have been really nice if you could have shown how the touch screen works with the phone inside and how clear is it to view the screen with the case on. These small details I feel are very crucial as the case is worthless if the viewing angle isn't clear once left inside the case. In one of the reviews from other websites, I read someone mentioning that the clear front case reflects the phone's brightness and hence he had to reduce the brightness to view it. There are tons of videos on similar products but very few show all possible ways it could go wrong too. This is the only reason im unable to decide between the Quadlock and this. But might end up with Quadlock as I know you can operate the phone easily without the front clear case but the Ultimateaddons has a plus point that it can rotate to landscape and portrait

I have a very thick screen protector on my phone so it was not possible to work the touchscreen through the phone case. When I took my screen protector off it worked. Angle wise in the sun etc the ball joint clamp was perfect for being able ti adjust to ensure it was just at the right angle. Recomended!
