I’ve had two units and both didn’t work out of the box with either the bmw adapter or by plugging it into the usb socket. If you can offer a fix or reason why this is I’d be happy to hear it from anyone.

Hey up, just wondering what you plugged the usb into to power it up, these devices need over 2 amp so won't work with cheap usb plugs, what does the device do when plugged in ?

Can you see the display when the sun comes out? cheers

Hey up Mr Simpson, I haven't an idea if you can see the screen when the sun comes out as it's not been sunny lately, I'm guessing of course you can , it's a big bright screen with a sun shade, ride safe Simon B 😎

Carpuride isn't a GPS device. It's nothing more than a display screen that connects to your phone's GPS and applications. Without your phone the device is useless.

@@SIMONB1 actually I am considering buying one, (5" one) because it is a good display for my phone. I use Android auto in the car and it works well. I just don't think it's accurate to call a simple display screen a GPS device, when it clearly isn't.

Carpuride is a rubbish product, loses connection all the time, full of bugs and crashes often. Also, they do not honour their returns policy. They threaten to charge you duty and extra charges, even if you are within the 30 day return period. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
