Unboxing The New Engine (Finally!): 240SX Restomod Ep.23

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Subscribe today to catch all my upcoming project episodes and reviews! bit.ly/1RXFn3v
In today's video, we finally unbox the new engine for the 240SX and talk about why there's been such a delay in progress over the last few months. With everything I've been doing in the background, we're about to dive into a lot of seriously fun content! In the near future, I'll be introducing a lot more project content to the channel, in addition to my normal reviews. The 240SX will be picking up soon (engine swap), along with a few other things I have in the works! I'm really excited about these projects. They're a great way for me to interact with you all more and us all to have fun together!

I know you’re probably asking yourself, what exactly is Saabkyle04 and why should I subscribe? Aside from being named after my first car that I got in 2004, this channel is all about giving you the opportunity to see cars in-depth and teach you what makes each and every car unique in their own special way. As a long-time automotive enthusiast, I tailor my videos to those who love cars. Over the years, this channel has become well known for my signature in-depth reviews that are designed to be an immersive experience. Also, with project cars, press events and the occasional road trip, I’m always working hard to deliver new and exciting content that’s not only entertaining, but informative. On this channel, you’ll find vehicles from every decade, every price point and every genre, from classics to mainstream and the most elite supercars. There’s literally something for everyone. My goal always has and always will be to have a channel that delivers consistent and quality content time and time again. Of course, the most rewarding thing about all of this is getting to interact with you all, so be sure to check out my social media channels! If all of that sounds good to you, go ahead and hit that subscriber button, you won’t regret it. While you’re here, browse my massive video library and remember, there’s always a lot more where that came from!
All the best,
Kyle

Man, I've almost given up trying to figure it out. It's like KZread is limiting how many people get to see my videos. It doesn't make sense because the content is family friendly and advertiser friendly. I refuse to placate their algorithm, I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. Certain channels are being selectively promoted, that's why you see some consistently getting 1m+ views, regardless of how much they upload. Back in the day, subscribers were the biggest indication of how good your channel was doing. Now, it almost doesn't matter because youtube makes you jump through so many hoops to get notified, yet I've talked with tons of people who haven't gotten a video notification in months. My videos don't get suggested very often either. If they do, it's something I did years ago. All I can do is stick to my guns and push forward. The system is broken.

I don't know how you do it Kyle. You're getting ready to move, you're starting to build a house, you're restoring 4 cars and filming and editing videos. If I was in your position, I would already have had about 5 or 6 meltdowns. LOL. BTW, thanks for your condolences about my mom. I really do appreciate it. The thing you said about you not being a vlogger, I think people would like to see a bit into yours and Christal's life. I'd like to see vlogs of your new house being built and the process, maybe Christal do some vlogs here and there. Who knows? Maybe it'll bring your views back up.

Looking forward to the engine swap. Your channel was the first automotive channel I subscribed to. Sad to see your viewership fall. That said - I think you are making the right decision to move in a different direction. The new competition has a different style but they aren’t doing restomods. I used to have a 1996 240SX SE with a manual transmission and regret selling it five years ago as it was in perfect condition - just needed more power! I second others comments that you should do videos of your house construction. Anyone that likes project channels would also find that interesting as well. Don’t make the same mistake you did by not doing content on the garage/shop construction. Looking forward to the engine swap and the Jimmy project. Best of luck.

You should use the rb26 valve covers because they have better baffling and allow for the oil to flow easier. RBs in general tend to keep the oil up in the head which generates a lot of blow by. So those covers should help with that situation. Btw keep up the great work 👍🏻😎

Thanks Dan! We've been wanting to Jump on the Chevelle for a while now but it's going to take a good chunk of money to patch the body up. I just met someone that can likely help us fix it and work with me at the shop to get it back in order. I'll keep you updated on when to expect content!

Yeah, that's the only thing that kept me from doing it at the time, I didn't want to cut a hole in it. I was told that if I went for aftermarket cams, I wouldn't have to cut the hole. I don't care about making this the fastest/most powerful 240, but a head build, using the covers as a finisher would be really cool. Thanks a lot for the insight!

Nah, I sold it about a year ago. I feel very fortunate to have owned and enjoyed it for the time I had it, but I felt it was just too much money to have in a car. I wanted to use that to start the new garage build. To be honest, I'd rather have several old cars I can work on, it fits me better haha.
