nice to meet another woman in rc's, i years ago built the tamiya frog, hornet, falcon and the clodbuster for me, my brothers and a neighbor then got myself a Tamiya king cab, hpi savage 4.6, hpi savage flux, and a couple of kyosho's. i got out of the hobby because back then there wasn't many girls interested in rc and I felt like an outcast.. just in the last year and a half got really back into the swing of things, and have bought 11 rc's to replace my old ones that have been neglected and is hard to find parts

Stiffer springs, heavier shock oil and grease the diffs and it is a great RC.

agreed! upgraded to stiffer springs, disassembled and oiled the diffs and replaced the shock oil.

The good old days of 2wd stadium trucks I had the rc10t3 back in the day when I Got started in RC had some other trucks but then my last RC Truck was the t4 and I also shared the hooby with my old dog Bear he loved it.. its been Years sense Iv had any RC Truck Lately Iv been thinking of getting a 4wd truggy maybe my currant Dog Sage, will Love to Chase it..

no diff grease, put in diff oil, especially the center and it will make you happy. would it be possible to put a larger motor in there? looks like the mount might not allow it?

think the shocks only need heavier/thicker oil. they are big-bore shocks which are quiet good.

Hobbyking ships from US warehouses..if you live on the west coast you can pick up parts in Oregon ..i don't think they are a Chinese company but i'm sure manufacturing parts are Chinese though lol..in fact i do remember them being an Australian company..cheers

I have the ACME DOMINATOR got it for less $ then the SABERTOOTH almost the same truggy & uses the same Parts as the SABERTOOTH

Interested in how that plasti dip worked out for you! What prep work did you do to the body? Is that the stuff that can be peeled off? Sorry if seems stupid question but haven’t seen it here in Australia (that’s not to say it’s not here just not familiar with it) than an :-)

Yeah it's the stuff that can be peeled off. I did it in camo green: amzn.to/2hZVkx7 No prep work at all, but unlike the lexan paints, you paint the outside of the body which was good because the body that came with the car was already painted. I then put the window and other decals over it when it dried. It's a great protectant as well. Doesn't last forever - several months or so with heavy use - but then you can just peel it off and spray it again. As with most spray paints, you do a super light misting for the bottom coat, then multiple light coats until it's covered.

This is awesome! I wish there were more women in the hobby.

Hey Haley, I also have a Sabertooth which I’ve had for a couple of years now. What with Hobby King now not stocking parts for this truggy, have you found any X platform parts from other manufacturers that work? For example diff cases, spur gears, drive shafts etc. Looking at doing some upgrades before some bashing in the spring time.

Yeah definitely want to discharge at 3-5C and no lower than 3.8 the first few cycles or so.

and try to fiberglass your rc body i use fiberglas resin and cloth and carbon fiber cloth on my rc bodies

Cool truck, but out of my price range for now. Hope you are still having fun with it.

Bottom-coat that body with a couple coats of Herculiner, it'll hold up for years. And don't mind the chassis scars....just gives it character.

I just have one question... it appears to me that the inner and outer suspension arms pivot on hinge pins which require "e" clips to retain them. Is this correct or are my ancient, 69 year old eyes fooling me again. Thanks for the videos and keep on gassing on it.

acme barbariam xxl versao longa tbm deve de ser quase a mesma coisa, pena que eu tenho a versao normal do barbariam, e ficaria dispendioso transformar neste truggy, talvez va pra o hsp searover truggy versao kit e montar a meu gosto

It took a while since it was out of stock. But once it shipped, it was like a week or two.

Love the drab green on the body, and nice to see more females into the hobby. Also might not be the best idea to wear flip flops running RC like you said if it hits you at 40mph its gonna hurt. hate to see them pretty painted toes get ruined.

Are you looking at the mad warrior? This one is half(?) the price of an Exceed truggy. I've had a great experience with this truggy, and don't know much about exceed cars. I think it's just how much you're willing to spend.

Parts go in and out of stock on HK every so often and are really cheap, but i usually do a big order of spares since they ship from china and shipping is pricey. You can also order parts for the acme dominator, which are interchangeable but rebranded and cheaper shipping cost. bit.ly/2lo5skq
